Their brand seems to have some connection to a consumer credit card brand - a little like Capital One 360's recent foray into the coffee shop business in the US. What can I say? The good: their prices are slightly lower than most theaters in the US (and significantly lower than NYC). They usually have 2 or 3 movies in English running (with Turkish subtitles), though sometimes you have to look the actors up on IMDB to check the movie you're actually getting when the title and poster in Turkish are completely different from the Hollywood version! Quality of service is uneven at the ticket counters, and the advertising before (and during) their films is truly terrible. You get some idea of the demographics of their clientele when you see five ads in a row for new Agaoglu My Whatever housing developments in Atasheir in an intermission 45 minutes into your movie... Also encountered dirty seats and bathrooms on multiple occasions. But if you want to see American films before they come out on Amazon, Cinemaximum is there for you!
