I would say an authentic but modern Swiss restaurant. Obviously clean as almost all are but just very nicely decorated and has a sense of casual luxury. Food - The standout. The salad with egg and Rapeseed was perfect. The Zuri Gschnatzlets was very original and exactly as expected. The fish from lake Zurich (wonder if that is really true LOL) was very nice and the side of pasta and carrots were prepared without fault. Service - smiling. Wine - a lot. Photos - explain the rest.

It teaches you a lot about yourself and how you respond to visual impairment. I used the survival skills I learned in school to locate my glass or picking up a fork in pitch black darkness. I chose the vegetarian option and the 3 courses were very flavorful and I was able to taste the food even more so in the dark. I felt like the dark made my sensory of my palate enhanced. Keep in mind everything in Zurich is extremely expensive. Wait I should say the upper echelon of the world! Anyways, you pay for the experience. This really changed my outlook in life and I have even more gratitude when I wake up everyday! I was very grateful for this unique experience!

The granola & yogurt was excellent (especially the fresh fruit), the eggs fluffy, the cheeses ranging from almost runny to very sharp (there was some debate among the waitstaff as to whether we'd gotten the Sbrinz or Gruyère). In addition, the atmosphere was homey and relaxed --- we felt like we were family friends visiting an old farmhouse, rather than waiting in line for an upholstered booth. The front half of the shop sells most of the same food and ingredients (including real molasses, as opposed to the corn syrup "molasses spread" at some grocery stores). We did notice some of the veggie bins didn't look to have very high turnover --- be sure to check your produce.

I only had proper lunch once but boy that was very good! It was well spiced and had the taste of "I cooked it with love" in it. So I defenitly want to go back to check out that love flavour again. They usually have one meal with meat and one vegeterian option. Always a daily soup which you may buy to go. They also sell small bakery goods such as cakes, tartes or bagels. They use interesting ingredients, such as brie with some sort of fruit or scamorzza cheese with carrots or beef roast, and much more. They seem to have vegan options, too. Today it was a sandwich with hummus spread. So there is coffee, there is food, nice staff, everything is sustainable but thats not the end of the list yet: the MAGAZINES!!! It is very dangerous for me to sit down and grab a magazine. Because they have a fantastic selection of brain food such as Swiss magazines, newspapers and I always feel tempted to bing read. I just realised: still not the end of the list! There is free wifi. Yes, the world is a good place to live in. STOP! Still not the end of the list: when the weather is warm enough you even can sit outside. Now you're flabbergasted, aren't ya? :) So why not 5 stars? Despite Yelp saying that credit cards are accepted here, the bartenders told me otherwise (with a 30CHF bill), so keep that in mind if you're visiting from out of town and have limited Swiss currency. I'm guessing those instances are probably limited, given the relative neighborhood-y feel to the bar, but with its proximity to the train station you never know. There's not much specifically identifiable as great about Olé Olé, but it's the culmination of everything about the place that just makes it generally lovable. The bartender gals are cheerful and charming, and even manage to have their own labeled beer as a result of their infamy. The patrons are chill, but friendly, so much so that we wound up back at the flat of one of the people we met at the bar to have some after-hours drinks and inevitably chat about global politics (some things never change). Pricing seemed decent, with 4 beers (I think) being about 25-30CHF. They only had the local beer Amboss on draft in two varieties, which was pretty mediocre, but still better than the Bud or Miller products you would find in a similar dive back in the U.S. This definitely feels like more of a shots or whiskey sipping kind of bar. The bathroom deserves its own special mention here, with some of the most odd / interesting decor I've ever seen, featuring a full size skeleton hovering over the toilet with a bouquet of flowers for a groin, and a machine that dispenses something called "Travel Pussy".

The crowd is kinda down-to-earth till the a-wanna-be-a-hipster. The music is nice (alternative - Rock). Prices of drinks are OK. Normal prices for Kreis 4. Just pay attention, it is a narrow bar. It gets difficult when you are with more then 4 people. And you can not be outside because it is right at the street. For sure a place to go once in a while.
