Thankfully, my worries were unfounded, as the guys at Bridgestone Select were really great. I arrived just before their 5.30pm closing time and the guy stayed open for an extra half hour just to change my battery, which was so lovely of him. He was really friendly and changed it quickly and efficiently and charged me a fair price, explaining stuff the whole way. I liked it so much that I've booked my WOF in there next week too.

These guys are always willing to help their customers, and it seems as if they genuinely value them. Not only are they professional and do such a great job on repairing the body of your car, but it's also the little things that they do to ensure that their customers remain loyal. For example, in my experience no other mechanic has ever given my car a complete valet clean when I have taken it in for repairs; but these guys did just that. Friendly staff and very impressive service. I won't hesitate to come back here when I need some car maintenance done.

First they had it wrong in their system so no reminder, then I had to beg for a courtesy car, and had to wait over a week for a day with a runabout. I arrive promptly at 9am and they hand over keys to a mirage which was parked wedged so tight between two other vehicles I had to flag down a rep to extract it. The loaner was dirty, inside and out. With the tank almost on empty. 4pm and noone bothered to call, so I called them... Kept on hold for 15mins while the rep finds my car... It's in the groomers, head on over (in rush hour traffic) and it should be ready when you get here. I arrive at 4.35pm The bill astounded me.... $750! For a standard service and oil change on a new vehicle with less than 11,000km!! It was $250 to service my Lexus at Toyota!!! We expressed our dissatisfaction and disappointment and the rep couldn't care less, he just took the credit card and swiped the transaction through. And then threw back the keys. Left to go find our car, it was nowhere to be seen in the top lot. We trapsed back in to ask where our vehicle is located... 15mins later while standing in the cold... Our wet, barely groomed truck arrived back. The vacuum didn't see the inside of the car. And the windows still had smears all over them. And the floor mats were worse for it all. What a complete failure of a service experience. We will never return and not be buying another Mitsubishi or anything with Andrew Simms. And I will definitely not recommend them. And look for another dealership to service the remaining scheduled services.

We'll get the reminder note in the mail to say one of our vehicles is due for a service and it is that kind of special attention that keeps us coming back. Their office lady is super friendly too. Recently searching for a first car for the newest driver in our family, Ward pointed us in the right direction and we ended up making an excellent purchase thanks to the insider advice. I have an old classic car as well as a Hilux and a new Corolla and when I moved to the area a few years ago I was recommended I go to Ward for my vehicle servicing and repair. Ward does my servicing, mechanical work and WOF's on all my cars and he is such a genuine honest mechanic. He has been in the business for donkeys' years, so he really knows his stuff, and nothing is a problem. He is hands down the most honest, thorough, and trustworthy mechanic I've ever been to, and I know my cars are in safe hands with Ward. His no BS thorough job saves me time and money in the long run, and I can trust everything he says. Having Ward in the same suburb I live in is awesome but even if he was 50Kms away I'd make the journey because I know he will respect and look after my pride and joy and treat it as if he owns it - this alone is a massive weight off my mind when I drop the keys off. The job is always done to an exacting standard, within budget and specified timings. If there ever is anything else required (and there always is on a classic car) Ward calls me before he starts the work with options as well as updated costs and timings. I cannot recommend Glen Eden Auto Services strongly enough, especially if you have a classic car or in fact any car which you want to take somewhere that is honest, will not rip you off and gives you peace of mind with a no-nonsense quality job. The staff are incredibly well informed and helpful - "going the extra mile" would be an understatement here. Prices are competitive and the friendly and knowledgeable service has me always recommending them without hesitation. Today Saia assisted me with an issue I wasn't entirely sure how to resolve - he understood right away what it was that I needed, then spent a considerable amount of time finding just the right tool and then even completed the job for me - all the while being so personable and kind that I think he may have just restored my faith in humanity completely. Usually I send my car into Continental car services and get them to sort everything out for me and boy do I pay the price! Here my boyfriend purchased some new brake hoses and bushings for his car and the prices were very competitive in comparison. The good thing about BNT is that they have a lot of locations all around Auckland so if the store you go into doesn't stock the particular item you are looking for they will usually be able to order it in and quickly too. The bushings arrived in under a week and they called when they had arrived which I thought was good service. The people here are very friendly and knowledgable when it comes to the parts they supply.

I didn't feel they took advantage of my lack of mechanical knowledge, and they did the job in record time too, and I've never had a problem with that part since, which is helpful. The staff is really nice and when I told them about my last experience, they were mortified. Happily go back there for my next repair job.
