WARNING! If you live in a West Denver suburb, your location may be treated by this company as a "Mountain Location". They then charge you an additional $450+ dollars for their service. They first loaded two carpet runners in a small truck, and it took less space than a refrigerator and weighed much less. Then they told me their fee was $750 for two carpet runners. That was much more than their online prices, and Nathaniel and Ryan told me it was higher because I lived in the mountains. (I live 1 mile west of C470, and they said mountain locations are determined simply by Zip Code. But, although they agreed that an additional $450+ was a lot to pay for 1 mile, their prices were fixed by corporate!) So, I called the corporate 800 number, and the customer service person told me they were an international company with operations around the world and even in Australia. He said they couldn't be "bothered" with Zip Code pricing in Colorado. read more

We will share our experience. They quoted us $750 for our junk, which we said that's too much and we'll just get a dumpster. They then said " We'll remove what we can today for $260, and go ahead and sign up for annual membership for $249 which will give you 2nd visit totaling $509, which is a better deal". We said OK. They hauled away only our patio table and chairs/cushions on the first visit because they didn't have much room in the almost full truck. Well, they no showed on scheduled 2nd pickup date, then came the next day after a phone call from us. They showed the pricing sheet and said they'll charge us additional $500. After much back and forth, they explained away how they're giving us a discount and will only charge $209 more. We didn't agree as that was not what we were initially told, they then stopped loading the junk and took off without completing the job. We will never use them again. The membership benefit is vague at its best, and deceptive at its worst. Now we're out $509 and still have junk to dispose of. Oh, and the membership is automatically renewed - so you have to call and cancel! read more

take this rating with a grain of salt as I opted to NOT utilize their services. The no obligation part comes with subtle intimidation and is barraged with sales pitches attempting to justify their ridiculous pricing. I understand they have a job to do, however, as a warning be prepared for this. If one is willing to spend the money and cost is of no concern, then I am sure they would be a good service. Also, their minimum is $186 just so people are at least somewhat aware of their pricing. The employees sent out were fine at first, but their demeanor changed while talking to the rep negotiating the price, and was all telling. I highly do not recommend this company simply from the estimation process alone. @1800gotjunk at the very least, when confirming estimation appointments, let a prospective consumer know the minimum amount charged. It is literally laminated in their binder of exorbitant pricing. There is no reason to 1. waste peoples time on both ends, and 2. cause even more distaste for sales attempts resulting in poor reviews. read more

ok Wow - unbelievable that we just had to pay $775 for them to spend about 30-40 loading up our junk. We were blindsided by that ridiculous price! The guys were nice and efficient - not their fault. But false advertising and we are out $775. Look elsewhere for this service. We should have sent them away. Never again but it really hurts to have paid that crazy amount. Worst part - my husband is still feeling so down that he got taken advantage of and pressured into even leaving a tip! Denvr24 and 25 are at our condos today. Fyi we stopped using them at our property because of these kind of things. 2 trucks parked in space belonging to owners. I waited for them to move. That's fine 5 minutes. The truck moved without putting the top down almost took out our tree. Then had more to load so they moved back to block our trash receptacle. My neighbor had to throw it over the fence. I told them I was reviewing them. Both drivers were on there phones to save themselves with there company. It wasn't comical ...but it was. The employees were very nice but discarded many items that I told them not to. Unfortunately there were 3 employees in separate areas of the house asking questions at the same time. Unfortunately there were expensive items taken that I didn't notice had been until later in the evening when I was walking around. I am very upset as they are not replacable. Pricing was double the original quote. I was originally told price by the truck load only regardless of what is taken. When they arrive I find out there would be many additional charges for some items. Our family is in the process of moving and decided to purge most of our belongings. We donated about half of our stuff to a donation center, but we were left with quite a bit of junk items that we needed to figure out what to do with. I looked online and found a couple of great companies out there that offer to pick up and take away all the items you don't need and ultimately decided on 1800-got- junk. We were able to schedule a time for them to come out to complete a free estimate all online. This was so convenient. The gist is - they come out give an estimate, if you accept the estimate they will pack it away right then and there. No waiting!!!! The team was very communicative the entire time. They called before coming out to let us know they were 20 minutes out, gave us the estimate and said we got it from here and loaded up the truck. When they were done they knocked and we paid. Simple as that! The price was a little high but considering what it would take to either move it myself to the dump, or purchase and schedule the trash company to pick it up a bagster option, this was very comparable in price. Now I have a clean garage, my back isn't aching from moving all the junk, my car doesn't have any damage to it from any issues that could happen when moving junk, and we are all ready to move into our new house without all the extra baggage. We had called them for a couch removal that was suppose to happen today Dec 2, 2021 as we have a new couch coming tomorrow. They assured us that it would be an easy removal as it was just one item and wouldn't take long. They stated they would be here between 8am-11am. Around 9am we received notification that they canceled claiming that their truck broke down. This left is scrambling to find someone to help us remove the couch today so we could have the new one delivered tomorrow. Luckily we called Mountain Man Junk at 9:30am and they came out before noon to help us and it was a very good deal. I will never be calling 1800 got junk for removal services in the future and will be using Mountain Man Junk as they were quick, prompt, a good price and came in a pinch. I should have researched 1800 junk better because I see this seems to be a trend with them to schedule and cancel with people. read more
