I recently had a terrible experience with this company after hiring them to remove the contents of my Grandfather's apartment after he passed away. They gave me a quote for price and time over the phone for an estate clean out before I booked. When the day came they did not show up at the stated time and went I called to see where they were they said they did not have my booking even though i had received an email confirmation stating date and time. They did eventually come later in the day but by then the building manger who was suppose to lock out the elevator and open the doors for the move had gone home and I was forced to stay to watch the doors (I was visiting from Vancouver to deal with the estate and needed to be going home that afternoon). The young men that worked for them were really nice guys however they were not very quick and seemed ill equipped. (they did not even have a door jam to prop open the door). I felt bad for them as they had to stay way after their shift to get the job done. If they had been there are the booked time when the building manager way there they wouldnt have had to spend all day waiting for the elevators. The guys had to leave to take a load to the dump and come back which took 45 min. All and all the job took 6 hours when I was quoted 2 and I got back home to Vancouver at 1am. the job also cost DOUBLE what I was quoted on the phone. I called the owners Yosi and Ben. They both offered me a discount earlier in the day however when it came time to pay they refused to give my half of the discount they offered stating they were loosing money on the job cause it was taking so long.. something that was NOT MY FAULT.. if they guys had been moving faster and they had shown up at the booked time when they had the elevator to themselves it could have taken half the time. Who offers a customer a discount to apologize for there mistake then refuses to give it to them when its time to pay? They blamed all the screw ups on the call center saying it was not their fault.. umm. its your business .. you take the blame for the screw up.. dont blame it on the call center then punish the customer for your mistake. In short I had terrible customer service and I would NEVER recommend this company and know there are lots of way better options out there which I now wish I had gone for. I hired this company as I was stuck, had a certain amount of time to empty out mother's house. Another company couldn't come for four days, that was too long. When I asked if they put stuff back into the community, I was told on the phone 100%. I was ok with that as the furniture was in excellent chape. A leather computer chair, zero tears, wooden computer table two red lounges from the brick (as new). A few other things. I thought the price was high, but like I said, I was stuck. The two guys also said this goes back into the community, that is what I prefer. After they left I had some actual garbage so I ran it to the dump, my heart sank ,I saw them coming out of the dump empty. I was shocked. LIARS, lie and deceive the public on their website, and staff all seem to be trained to lie as well. It's disgusting. They make regular trips to the landfill every day. No wonder it's filling up so fast. Filling up with useable furniture it's appalling.i will never use them again. I will pass this info on as much as possible . read more

We live out on Westside Rd. near Vernon and have used 1-800-got-junk twice. Their service and work is professional, competent, friendly, at a reasonable cost. They were the only waste haulers in the Okanagan we could find who could get rid of our old-old boat. We've used the same company in Richmond - and have had the same experience.
