I was torn between 3 and 4 stars because the staff is really nice, friendly and willing to go out of their way to help you. However, "1-Day" should mean one day and I interpret that to mean one "business" day. I got 3 quotes to decal my van and 1-Day signs was less than half price of what the other 2 businesses wanted. 1 Day Signs - Advertising Near Me - Salem, Oregon

I was hoping this could be a great experience, as I own a small business in Salem, and wanted to support another small business. However, I was pretty disappointed. The process took 14 days to complete, which was frustrating since I assumed a business named "1 Day Signs" would get it done in at least 3 days. It took several days just to get email responses, not counting all the time they spent actually making the product, and that's not all! :) In my initial email to them describing what I needed, I was very clear that I needed 5 easily repositionable window decals. After a week or so of emailing back and forth proofs, they told me that i would need to buy 50+ decals in order to have the repositionable kind. They should have told me this immediately upon my initial email stating I needed 5, but instead they waited until I owed $65 in "design time" for proofs (supposedly free) of something I really couldn't use. At that point, I had no choice but to get a product that can't be repositioned, because they sent me an invoice for all the time they had spent working on this thing that was the opposite of what I had clearly stated I needed. I also had a poster made, the designer argued with me about the design I was wanting, telling me that he didn't think it was what our brand was like, because he had looked at our website... just saying, I own the business, I know what our brand is and what I want my poster to display. After finally understanding what I was looking for (I had to physically go into the shop to explain to him, email obviously wasn't working), he printed off my poster with another company's brand name still in the stock photo! I took it home not noticing, and once I saw it had another company's name in the stock photo I immediately called and told them I'd need them to reprint it. The designer asked me if I'd like to purchase another $80 poster and have it remade... I told him that it was his mistake to leave another company's logo in the stock photo, and I wasn't going to pay to fix HIS mistake. It should be like graphic design 101 not to leave someone else's logo in a stock photo, right? I wouldn't make a poster for his business with a Kinkos logo in the background! He was very defensive on the phone about how he thought "it wasn't that noticeable", and obviously he did not want to re-do his mistake for free. He never apologized, just very defensive and reluctant to fix his error. I showed up the next day (day 15 in the process) to pick it up and I saw that the new poster, although pretty, was glossy. I had asked for matte all along... I didn't even say anything. Didn't feel like arguing with him about it again. Although I returned the first poster, and I can't imagine he didn't see that the first poster was matte and the new one was glossy... seems obvious to me, but he didn't say anything. So I just took my glossy poster and left. So all in all, he charged me $80 in design time, a total of $200 for 5 window decals that I can't reposition, and a glossy poster. I'm still shocked at their lack of customer service and attention to detail. Wouldn't recommend going here if you need something done quickly or with any sort of attention to detail. Being a small business owner in Salem, if one of my employees made it sound like they could offer something we couldn't, took 15 times longer than expected (literally!), and made an obvious mistake (twice with the poster!) I would be giving them everything on the house after that many mistakes. Not sure why I was still charged for the "design time" that was full of errors and delays... apparently they don't care as much about their customers as they let on. Bummer, guys. read more

Horrible service owner is rude bought 2 signs from him both of them we're wrong so I called and told them, owner said I had a perfect sign and nothing to complain about! took him 6 days to fix it yep never again! Oh and one day not ture it took them 2 1/2 to do it wrong in the first place! Pure service. read more

Have been using 1-Day for a couple years for various needs (be it a backdrop for an event or stickers for my business) and I've always been deeply satisfied with how helpful they are, how wonderful my end products are and just the high level of customer service...I know I can be a big pain and need extra hand-holding now and again and I'm always met with a smile :) read more

I recently needed a window sign for my new business. Had a general idea of what I wanted but no logo yet. Sal did an AMAZING job. Was patient with my request for revisions and ultimately came up with a great design. Not a 'one day' job in my case (because I am OCD and a perfectionist) but end result was GREAT! They were also kind enough to supply me with the JPEG so I could transfer the design to my scrubs. I highly recommend them! read more

Totally impressed with 1-Day Signs. They got my boat decals done as promised same day. The other guys brag about one day "fast" service but charge an additional fee for it. 1 Day Signs did a quality job for less than a third of the price as the "fast" guys $30 vs $100. Not impressed. I own a small business and was looking to get a simple sandwich board created using my Logo and other information. Kim sent an email requesting my logo. I sent her a couple versions they could work with. She sent another email requesting a specific format, which I was able to find and send to her. I never heard from her again. I understand this may not be considered a big job for them, but this reflects poorly and tells me a lot about this business. Just because this job was small does not meet I would not contact them in the future with a larger project. I would not recommend them. read more

I ordered signs a little more than 24 hours in advance for an event the following day and was told by the order taker that, no problem, the signs would be ready. Although I am a previous customer having spent several hundred dollars at this store in the past, the owner blew me off and said the shop doesn't guarantee 1 day service. How foolish of me to rely upon the name of the store (1-day signs) and the order-taker's promise, as well! The last thing the owner said to me on my way out the door was he would call me. It's now more than 24 hours later. I have never yet received a call, and although they knew my event started at 4 pm yesterday, I have still never heard from them. He mentioned something vaguely about going to the neighborhood where I needed to place the signs but didn't deliver them either. If you want to work with a local business that cares about its customers and wants to help you build your business while helping them build theirs, DON'T EVER USE ONE-DAY SIGNS! read more
