I'm not mad about the decor at this Italian restaurant, but it has a decent outdoor pavement seating area and very friendly staff, so for a sunny afternoon it's a pleasant place to eat Italian.
I've only eaten here once, and my dish was very tasty - I had a chicken breast sauteed in onions, crushed peppercorns and brandy, served with chips. The menu is very varied, and it's not just stuffed with obvious pizza and pasta dishes. In fact, if you want pizza, go elsewhere - this restaurant is more focused on non-pizza Italian fare such as meat, risottos and some pasta dishes.
There are several choices of meat dishes such as lamb cooked with honey and wine, and beef in Dijon mustard with a Cognac sauce, but if you prefer fish there's less choice when it comes to main dishes - although the steamed cod cooked in garlic and lemon sounds pretty healthy.
If you're after Spaghetti Bolognese or Tagliatelle Carbonara, however, you won't be disappointed - they do many classic pasta dishes and by the looks of other customers wolfing them down, they seem pretty good. If you *really* want pizza, despite this not being their focus they do offer a Margherita with the option to add a couple of extra toppings of your choice. read more
