The atmosphere is, well, a reflection of the rest of the shopping centre and not the result of anything the shop itself has done. It's really fairly nondescript, but it's a hell of a lot better than it's surroundings. There's a fair bit of seating available, and it generally isn't that big a deal if you sit down with a loaded trolley next to your table. Coffee here is alright. It's never been awful, and occasionally been really good, but usually it's just average. The people who run the shop are nice enough. Bottom line is that it's convenient and generally alright.

It was definitely worth looking up and I'm pleased to say I became a regular. This place offers great food in a fun, vibrant atmosphere. It is very popular with locals so get in line. The cafe offers a reasonable variety of food and the quality is very good. Although I went there for lunch, I just had to try out their coffee. The aroma is intoxicating and I was not disappointed. Part of a cluster of laid back venues away from the Port Vegas end of the burb, it feels like something of an oasis - being set across the road from the Pepper tree lined park at the 109 North Port tram stop. The building has a certain historic cham, once a corner store, possibly a grocer - the buildings in this area are some of Melbourne's oldest, dating back to the mid 1800's. Station Street's old iron verandah arches over the pavement tables and hanging baskets swing cheerfully above them. Across the road in Raglan Street, a local institution, the Railway Hotel, serves up beer, red wine, steak and horse racing to a ruddy cheeked blokey clientele. But at Station Street Trading Co. the menu is small and yet more interesting. I've seen wardrobes bigger than their kitchen, so you'll understand the direction they've taken with the food. Brunch tempters, sandwiches, salads, grills and homemade baked items rule. The little touches like bacon rippled along skewers and grilled tomatoes still on their truss make the food easy on the eye. It's tasty and uncomplicated. The staff are friendly and chatty. So it's easy to while away the time here staring across at the park, especially when the sun's out. A heads up that it doesn't seat that many people indoors, so if you're there on a Wintry weekend and can't get a seat, just use your Yelp Monocle and wander down to Little Rose, New Lots, Pure Pie or My Sister Says. All very fine establishments close by with a certain North Port synergy.

It definitely gives off a more suburban setting - peaceful, less noise, and more greeneries. The cafe is a tiny but quaint place with relatively interesting decors. It's quite simplistic and very Earthy with a lot of wooden furnitures propped around. The staff are all very friendly. It's just a nice place to go to if you want a bit of a change from the city cafes. Will put up another review when I pop back there the next time.

Lovely timber throughout with copper highlights on the kickboards and under the white marble bar top, with a shiny La Marzocco linea on top. Contrasted with some lovely French Victorian tessellated tiles, all of which is designed to reflect the buildings heritage. The designer did an amazing job. Everything else is the usual Market Lane high quality. Coffee is a little more consistent then some of the other stores I've noticed. Treats by the incredibly delicious Beatrix. There's not a great deal of seating inside, and outside is not covered so takeaway is your best option unless your not there during a rush or it's nice weather.

A popular hang out for push bike riders heading up or down the hill, you'll be able to spot it by the amount of lycra clad men and women lazing on the outdoor furniture of a weekend morning. Inside it's a rustic charmer with good coffee and a good little menu serving breakfast and lunch. Still retaining an inner city feel has made Svaks the choice of most locals nowadays, as instead of a view of a passing tram and a line if cars, the trees and open spaces of The Basin Triangle across the road give your eyes a well earned dose of fresh colour. A favourite of mine is the vegetable pancake. Layers of cheese and grilled vegetable make this an omelette from hell, or heaven, that is sure to please. Although there has been a change in hands in the kitchen recently, the recipes have remained the same, and it's only a matter of time before the locals decide to continue their love affair with Svaks.

Aside from being a lovely little café, this place also sells a few items such as tea sets, keep cups, novelty mugs, coffee plungers/strainers and other hot beverage accessories. The first time I came here I ordered a hot chocolate with a lemon & sugar crepe. The crepe was great, sweet and tasty- the hot chocolate was not. They go on about using some special fair-trade organic chocolate or something, but I just wanted a normal hot chocolate. This drink was pretty bad, to the point I just left it half full. It was bitter and just tasted like someone added milk to grounded cocoa. My sister got the ice chocolate (which looked amazing), but was just as bad. I would come back for the coffee (which was fine) and the crepes, but never the hot choc.
