Became a fan of this place after hitting up their 1 euro Sundays and Wednesdays. Everything on the menu (except the salads which go to 2 euro) become 1 euro.
Their mini sandwiches are delicious, served pretty quickly and with potato chips. At one point I did get a little sick from uncooked salmon on a salad, but it probably would have been inconsequential had I not been walking uphill in the heat. The beer and vino tinto was pretty good. It's that same cheap beer that the whole city sells, but at 1 euro for half a liter is fine with me. The vino tinto got a little getting used to and seemed to not have much alcohol content at all, but good after the initial sip of not knowing what to expect.
I think four of us would eat here for 12e all together for drinks and food. The employees were very nice and even though there were at least 50 other customers packed into the restaurant they recognized us and waved me over when our order was called and we couldn't tell it was our name over the loud speaker.
I can't say it was up to par with some of the restaurants we tried, but it was safe. Knew what to expect every time and really just couldn't beat the price. It's probably like the Spanish equivalent of McDonald's so we tried not to eat here all the time, but if it was late and we were lost amongst a good deal of expensive places that didn't look like they tasted great we would head over here for a good meal every time. read more
