The rating is based solely on our food. Our waitress was nice and the ambience was lovely, however, I truly did not enjoy my meal. My boyfriend and I ordered the shrimp scampi and we both agreed it was off-putting. My pasta was a little too al dente..it was really chewy and the scampi sauce seemed to just be melted butter with lemon zest. It was really just one note. No layering of flavors..it was disappointing. I hate being "that customer" to return my plate so we attempted to doctor it up with salt and pepper but there really was no coming back from it. Yesterday was my first time here with my girlfriend and it was not good at all. We arrive at 1:45pm and order drinks and appetizers. We wanted 2 22oz draft beers and instead we receive 2 bottles of Ultra after explaining to please just do bud light on draft if ultra was not available on draft. We take the beer, whatever. THEN, our apps are 45 minutes late and she brought the wrong one!!! I was supposed to have the margarita pizza and spinach dip and she brings ONLY a BBQ chicken pizza. So at this point.. I'm pretty annoyed. I finally give one last chance and just order a Carafe of wine with 2 glasses... she brings us 2 whole GLASSES of wine and says "just so you can pour yourself right?" With attitude. Like what?? She gives the excuse that she's new... we then ask for the manager because 3 chances and 3 strikes was just bad. The manager tells us that she's not even new!!! And proceeds to do NOTHING. Every part of our order and time was messed up and she did nothing. This place tries to be classy and fails. Don't waste your money please. Go get better service from people who care. The waitress was a short black girl with tattoos and a facial mole and the manager was a short white girl with glasses. The steak and cheese sandwich is excellent! I placed a takeout order on their app (very convenient) for lunch last week. In my experience, it's very common for restaurants to mess up the proportions with too many vegetables or too little steak. But at 110 they nailed it (in my opinion). 110 grill advertises itself as being allergy friendly but I have now had two take out orders incorrect. Tonight my food was delivered in a box with their allergy sticker on it, marking my gluten allergy, but the sandwich inside was very clearly on a regular pretzel bun. I called the restaurant to confirm that it was not a GF bun, they had me text a photo and immediately said "wow, you're right and I'm so sorry." They comped the entire bill, which I appreciated, but if I was not familiar with their food I would likely have tested the label, eaten my allergen, and been quite ill. I've also had positive experiences here. So.... Eat at your own risk if you have an allergy, I guess. read more

Had reservations on New Year's Eve expecting it to be busy but it was not. After being seated, we waited 10 minutes without being greeted by our server. We finally said something to the hostess. After ordering food and drinks at the same time and waiting another 10 minutes for our drinks, my wife had to have them remake hers. It was supposed to be rum but was made with vodka instead. When a runner dropped off a salad, we asked her if we could get some bread - our server never offered. AN HOUR LATER, our server showed up again saying the kitchen was having issues and our food should be out in 10 minutes and could she get us anything else in the meantime. We'd both been empty on drinks for 20 minutes. Hoping that meant a free drink for the horrible wait, we got another round. Finally our food came and was lukewarm. After paying our $110 bill with ZERO DISCOUNTS and having put our coats on, the server came over saying she was going to get us a free appetizer certificate from the Manager. Standing by our table, we waited another 5 minutes and when she still hadn't returned we just left. We have had great food and service at every other 110 Grill we've been to but this one was terrible. UPDATE: The restaurant said the General Manager wanted to get in contact after this review posted. What a great find. We live in south boston and while this is "officially" Dorchester this restaurant is a great addition to eating out in our areA. Seaport is very expensive. East and west broadway in Southie has lots of bars and bar food / Italian and Mexican and can be a bit noisy for us baby boomers. Tucked behind South Bay shopping center with free parking this place is a gem. The food is great. Service is great. Noise level- hey we can hear each other/ it's allergy friendly and varied menu Prices area reasonable. It's the kind of place where " I don't want to cook tonight but don't wanna spend a lot of money and don't want a really noisy place I don't want to have to hassle of parking" is the answer. The food quality here leaves much to be desired. My daughter loved her salmon but the rice side arrived as a congealed mass where individual grains were not discernible. Service was slow as well. Waitress neglected to bring ketchup with the fries and forgot the drink order (i had to call another member of the wait staff to get it for me). Appetizer wings were inedible due to the large amount of salt added. No blue cheese accompaniment. Manager was apologetic and despite her kindness, could not convince me to stay for a free meal or desert. I hightailed it out of there as quickly as I could. I went to the 110 Grill in Dorchester twice so far. Parking in the area was spacious in the multilevel garage, with charging stations. Short walk to the Grill. The first time going was sub standard. The beer on tap, Boomsauce, wasn't available. The fish and chips fell apart and drenched in oil. That being said second time a few days later. The beer on tap, Boomsauce and Octoberfest, were available. The chicken wings w/ maple bbq sauce was outstanding!!!! Bartender Logan was great, very helpful with wifi and info about football on the weekends. 3 stars so far,but room for improvement. read more

It's a new location for the 110 Grill. I've eaten at the Braintree location and really enjoyed it. I believe the chefs were getting their bearings in the new kitchen so some of the food that we ordered was not up to the quality that we've come to expect, but it was good. The service was great. The servers and the mangers were attentive and accommodating. We figured that we will get them a few weeks before we go back, but it is definitely a place that folks should check out. The South Bay shopping center has slowly been building up and filling in, and 110 Grill is part of the new complex. We came for dinner on a weeknight and there is nothing remarkable about the place in either a positive or negative direction. The food is fine, standard American fare that costs a little more than it should. I think they make most of their food in-house (instead of reheating pre-prepared, frozen components like many other chain places of this tier might). The service was also fine. The interior is decorated like a mid-level hotel lobby's breakfast area which is a little strange. I don't know what they were going for. Bottom line: it is fine. read more

We've always liked the Braintree 110 Grill and decided to try out the Boston one. What a disappointment! My favorite dish cucumber & avocado tuna was ruined here! The tuna was dry. Rice was semi-cooked. Ginger/vinegar potion was off... my boyfriend ordered the short rib Rosetta and it was so dry that he had to reject and had them redo the whole dish (new one made by the chief chef was good but WTF was my dish not done by the good chef? Do you have to special order from the chief chef? Finally the desert was another disaster. a key lime pie in a jar! read more

Yelp recommended this restaurant earlier in the week, but I didn't think anything of it. Today came around and we needed a restaurant to celebrate the birthday of one of my friends, and I immediately thought of 110. From the moment we walked in I could tell that this was going to be an amazing service. We were offered gluten free menus, immediately greeted by our friendly server Marie, and settled in for a great meal. The food was fresh, tasty, and came in a good amount of time. Marie was super helpful in making sure that all of the table's allergies were handled properly and that we felt comfortable with what was happening in the kitchen.
