I never expected that less than a month after purchasing a brand-new home, I would be writing a…read morereview like this. The sales process and front-office experience were excellent. Unfortunately, my experience changed dramatically once the property was turned over and I began dealing with the warranty department. The issues themselves were not what destroyed my confidence in Betenbough Homes. Every new home will have punch-list items. My disappointment comes from how those concerns were handled. During my warranty walkthrough, it felt as though nearly every concern was met with an explanation, excuse, or reason why it wasn't really a problem. By the end of the walkthrough, I found myself asking a question no homeowner should ever have to ask regarding a brand-new home: "Is any of this actually covered under the warranty?" That question wasn't asked because I didn't understand the warranty. It was asked because after listening to explanations for over an hour, I genuinely wasn't sure what the warranty covered anymore. My wife, who is one of the most patient and non-confrontational people you will ever meet, raised only two concerns during the entire walkthrough: a loose toilet paper holder and a paint issue that was visibly different from the surrounding wall. Even those concerns felt dismissed. When paint concerns were raised, I was repeatedly told that attempting repairs could make things look worse. One of the most frustrating parts of the experience was receiving completely different messages depending on who I spoke with. I was told that warped fence boards just weeks after moving into a brand-new home were my responsibility. Later, company leadership described the warranty as "bumper-to-bumper." Those are two very different messages, and homeowners should not have to guess what is or isn't covered. After sharing my experience with other Betenbough homeowners, I was surprised by how many people reported similar experiences. Several described having to repeatedly push for repairs, escalate concerns to management, or stay on top of the company to get issues addressed properly. That should not be the expectation when purchasing a new home. As a combat veteran, I relocated to Amarillo after years of dealing with health issues, VA claims, and the federal disability retirement process. I came here looking for peace and a fresh start. Instead, within weeks of purchasing this home, I found myself dealing with an experience that caused enough stress and frustration that I sought care through the VA and discussed the situation with my mental health provider. The most disappointing part is that this was entirely avoidable. A little professionalism, respect, and willingness to listen would have gone a long way. I am now canceling all future warranty appointments because I have completely lost confidence in the warranty process and the representatives involved. I cannot recommend Betenbough Homes based on my experience. The home may be new, but customer service after the sale matters just as much as the sales process before it!!

I bought a B and M home, I highly discourage any home buyer to stear clear of these home builders…read more They use seconds for fixtures, the metal peels, the tubs rust and the tile is cracked and chipped, the concrete is cracked and the doors dont open. The windows are not sealed properly and they will bury anything in the yard. I bought this home new and the warranty is, you guessed it as good as the paper its written on. They have refused to fix any warranty items, their staff is constantly quiting, and you cant get a hold of anyone. I was evacuated from my home due to their unsafe building practices. Save yourself a headache and look elsewhere. I dare say even Beetenbough may be better than these guys.
