I just moved into 1111 Wilshire. What sold me on signing my lease was the way I was treated by my host Brandi. She was amazing throughout the entire process. I had toured a few other high-rise buildings in Dtla and had a terrible experience. Brandi made my experience painless and exciting. Brandi had a very warm and inviting touch. The building is well kept and everyone is helpful and friendly. Aside from the leasing agents being helpful, I had some water damage to my roof in my unit. The building manager was also very accommodating and addressed the matter with urgency. read more

It's difficult to believe that many of the positive reviews here come from actual residents. Unfortunately, I've lived here for a few years and my experience at 1111 Wilshire has been extremely disappointing. The property suffers from constant water shut-offs, frequent elevator breakdowns, and extremely loud events in the Rec Room that spill out onto the pool deck -- often reaching nightclub-level volume. Most recently, residents have endured weeks of nonstop jackhammering (measured at nearly 90 dB) to remove and replace poorly installed tile. The project has been slow and disruptive, with only two workers using narrow jackhammers to tear up roughly 3,000 square feet of tile. At this pace, the construction noise could last for months, if not longer. A more competent management team might have insisted on additional workers to minimize the impact on residents. If you are looking for a quiet and comfortable place to live, I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere. Cue the polite management response that does nothing. read more

She has been super open, communicative, and personable every minute I've spent scheduling my appointment and touring the site. I'm not even a resident yet and she's treated me like a member of the family. During the last couple months we toured six or seven high rise and low rise apartment buildings in downtown LA. Our tour of 1111 Wilshire really stood out from the others, not because the building or amenities are anything special, but because the leasing consultants were so very genuine. It was Holly that took us through the property, and answered all our questions, even those we had not yet thought of. She maintained a very friendly, professional, and helpful attitude during the entire process. I for one am very grateful for all of her help, patience and understanding. read more

I've moved a few times in Los Angeles. Every leasing agent is an angel when wanting you to sign a lease, and then who knows what you'll get from them. THIS team here at 1111 has been my absolute favorite by far. Holly in leasing is the perfect combo of sweet, professional, super efficient and fun. Brandon came maybe halfway into my lease and has been so great as well. Everyone in the office is always happily open to chat or answer any questions, and the maintenance team is super swift with communication and completion. A new manager took over recently, and they've been very sweet. I've felt safe living here, I don't ever hear my neighbors.. it's honestly been all of the things I hope to have in my apartment building. Bonuses are it's in a walkable area, close to downtown minus all of the chaos. read more

Beware of these reviews, they all seem to be about the tour itself and not from the experience of living there for even a few months. Coming from someone that lived there for about 5 years, seriously consider finding a different building; steer clear of Holland Residential especially 1111 Wilshire. The management team is terribly unresponsive and dismissive, especially Mark and Holly. So the problems. The water was shut off every couple of weeks due to plumbing issues, even after a "retrofit" where we had to deal with water shut offs ALL DAY multiple days for WEEKS. Security issues were also a common theme among residents. There were car break ins due to the garage gate being broken and left open, leaving anyone with the ability to access our "secure" parking location. Multiple times a random car would be parked in our designated spot, to which security would just tell us they'll pass it off to management. Elevators would be broken and cause long waits. I remember one elevator being broken for months due to a missing part and when it was finally fixed, it was broken again after a couple days. After finally moving out, we received no communication about our deposit or if anything was being held. When we finally received a check, it only had about 1/4 of our security deposit, with no itemization as to what was being deducted. When we notified Holly about this, the response we got from her was "I have reviewed your request and forwarded it to the appropriate department. Unfortunately, your request has been denied." The request for more information about what was being held from the refund of our deposit was "denied." Nice lol. Only after escalating to corporate did we finally receive our full deposit back MONTHS LATER. Total scam. Would not recommend this place to a friend or loved one. I rarely write reviews but thought this place deserved one especially after seeing all these 5 star reviews about simply about the *tour*. read more

They have to be writing fake reviews! Theres no way everyone likes this building. Multiple problems within 1 Week of living here. It is moldy everywhere! Rusty on the outside (in a city where it never rains?). Maintenance is horrible, even though they claim differently. Talked to multiple people about a 2 year long plumbing Issue? It stinks in the whole apartment. Just tour this place and look out. Also dont use the pool, they dont clean it while pigeons use it to clean themselves. And if you decide to still apply, dont pay for the deposit. You wont see it again :) read more

1111 Wilshire is a nice concrete building with solid amenities. Conveniently located right off the 110 and walking distance to shopping areas in DTLA, this building is a solid choice. We moved in in June. Jasmine made the process moving into 1111 easy and enjoyable. She was helpful with the application process. She was extremely courteous every step of the way, particularly in the middle of our move, which was the first time we began living together as a newly engaged couple. Management seems response. The maintenance request for our broken ice machine, for example, was extremely rapid. Would recommend this apartment! read more
