I had one package there for a day and no one could seem to find it of the 6 staff behind the desk. When I asked for new linen and towels after 4 days I was a charged over 50 BPS! This place is a ripoff. Even after leaving was never really sure what all the people behind the front desk actually DID. Lol.

But, when trying to locate my reservation in Atlantic City, NJ - the hotel could not find me by my last name. The same thing happened with my reservation (also made throughbooking.com) in Richmond VA the following day. Only there - thankfully, the desk clerk knew to look for my name reversed. When unable to find my reservation by my last name, she asked if I had used booking.com. When I said yes she replied "ahhh yes - they often mess the names up." She then promptly found me by using my first name as my last. Booking.com also messed up the dates for last weekend's reservation in Atlantic NJ, so without my calling them and spending literally an hour on the phone - I was facing the possibility the hotel could charge me a second time despite my paying for last weekend's NON stay. Of course, booking.com, despite acknowledging they have my name incorrect claimed it was the hotel's fault and that the hotel "is lying about not finding me in the system". However, I can say that the booking.com agent was very patient and helpful even though it took an hour to resolve this. True to his promise - he was able to cancel the reservation without my incurring yet another no show fee... (Ironic to be charged a no show fee for a reservation that could not be found) Though my finger is hovering over the app with the intention to delete it - I MIGHT give them a second shot. IF I do - I'll be double checking the dates over, and over, as well as asking to have my reservation looked for with both my first and last name as my last name. I also will NOT accept any specials that do not allow for free cancelations as, if not for that, I could have easily canceled the incorrect reservation made erroneously by booking.com w/o a 59 minute conversation with Mohamed in Egypt. Trusting his judgment, I followed suit. I didn't have a great experience booking my accommodations for Winnipeg in late June-early July for nine nights. I don't blame my friend. I blame how this listing was presented on this site. The listing looked good from what I had read. However, all information wasn't there. When I arrived, reality set in that it wasn't the place for me. I booked my nine nights at Winnipeg Peace Home. Last year, I did Airbnb and had a wonderful experience. Frankly, I should have stayed at the same place for this trip. Instead, I did booking.com's version. Winnipeg Peace Home said that this listing had a shared kitchen, shared bathroom, air conditioning, parking, and one bedroom for me with a TV, bed, and more. I was okay with it and said yes. The instructions on booking.com said that I'd get details on my door code the day that I would be arriving. To me, these details could have been shared much earlier. The owners at Winnipeg Peace Home did not send me any instructions. I had to ask hours before boarding my flight to Winnipeg. There's enough going on when it's a travel day. Asking the owners for door codes and procedures shouldn't be my responsibility. The owner was friendly. I got my door codes for the front and my bedroom. The instructions weren't completely clear to this person who writes how-to instructions for a living. When I got to the property, there was limited street parking. There was parking behind the house, but for two vehicles only. I ended up parking on the street, and hauling my luggage and me up to the main door. I unlocked the main door, saw the common living room, which looked like it was under construction. I then cut through the kitchen, which looked great, and looked at the flight of stairs. I met a young woman who was friendly. She was staying in the larger room with her boyfriend and two young kids under the age of two. In my head, I was thinking that I'm now sharing a bathroom with four humans. It turns out that their room has a washroom. She let me know that they found a bong (water pipe for smoking weed) under their bed. She was trying to get a hold of the owner through the phone number that was on booking.com to cancel and posted in the common room. She got no response. I unlocked the door to my room, closed the door, and set everything down. My room did not have air conditioning. There was a fan plugged into a socket by the window. I turned the fan on. Nothing. I had to use the socket under the TV to power on the fan. It was hot in this small room. I could barely walk around the bed. The TV was mounted on the wall and was tiny. The deal-breaking moment for me was not finding any console for the air conditioning. Winnipeg had a heatwave happening every day but one. Air conditioning was a must. The nice woman staying here told me that she had to crank up the air conditioning on the first floor. This house isn't fully air-conditioned. Sad. I sat on the bed in my room for half an hour. The bed was comfortable. However, I was still hot with the fan blowing in my face. I made the decision to cancel my reservation and find other accommodations. I was left to scramble, especially a couple of days before Canada Day. Booking anything at a hotel in Winnipeg was extremely pricy. When I headed downstairs to leave, I found a couple cooking noodles in the kitchen. Total number of folks sharing this house with me (I'm included): seven. That was a lot of folks to share common areas with. I ended up staying at a Days Inn in Steinbach. Sure, my commute between the two cities was now longer than expected. I was on vacation and it was fine as someone who enjoys driving. Both this commute and staying in Steinbach proved to be the best move I did. I have learned to not book through booking.com. The accommodation details were not fully disclosed. It could be how the site is organized. Maybe it's also how the fields are set up for a property owner to fill out. This property owner did message me midway through my reservation to check up on me. I appreciated it. However, when I wrote my review, the property owner said that he was "surprised" to hear from me. He said that attempts to "meet me" were unsuccessful. There isn't any requirement for a property owner to meet someone staying at your property. I found this statement to be pompous. My guess is that my room was barely touched. He also couldn't refute that I wasn't there. I described all rooms accurately. There was a cancellation fee for the first night. I was fine paying it for air conditioning and an entire hotel room to myself. I recommend not booking a bed-and-breakfast place on booking.com. If you are booking a hotel, book directly with the hotel company that you want. (296)

The beds were the cheapest beds I have ever had anywhere....and I travel a lot for both business and personal. I could feel and trace the springs with my finger. The sheets were cheap too and made all of us sweaty and we couldn't adjust the temperature. I had to sleep on the couch every night to get any sleep so I could get any sleep. There is no personal touches such as local recommendations. Also, read the fine print before signing. They would not allow us to cancel 1 week after booking without charging 50% and this was 5 months in advance of the stay. They are a strict and impersonal company. We will not be using this company ever again.

There were no checkin instructions given and when I arrived there was no internet outside and no way to reach them. Finally got an emergency number and after a joke of a 30 minutes we were inside and finally had a key. Then the walk upstairs with suitcases. Apartment did not have any information inside about internet or tv or anything else. After another 20 minute phone call we finally had the internet on. They advertise a flat screen tv but there are neither cable or local channels available. You tube and Netflix are the only options. Noise level is 12/10. Goes all day and all night and until 4 am when there is a chorus is bottles and yeah removal for an additional hour. Impossible to sleep unless you wanted to curl up in the bathroom. Fridge has a wine rack which promptly broke and ended up with our wine on the floors. The construction of it was absurd. Towel hook broken on the bathroom and it came flying off and missed my eye by millimeters. So utterly and completely misrepresented on the internet and their information. Really outrageous. Would recommend against sleeting one of these units. Waste of money and you actually value sleep forget about it!!

He was staying for business and therefore checked into a hotel for the next 4 nights. Concept apartments didn't even reply to my message and I only found out they would not issue a refund from Booking.com. I have videos of the noise throughout the night, but they don't care- they just want to take your money! Horrible apartments- dirty, cheap and terrible customer service!
