    Tequila flight

Cool place for bourbon and tequila tastings. You don't necessarily need a reservation, but depending on the time of year, you might want a guaranteed table. They have a couple options for bourbon and tequila flights. Worth looking into if you're looking for something other than wine tastings. Plus they have a delicious food truck in the premises.

A fun distillery among all the wineries in Fredericksburg! The tasting room itself is fairly small with tables and a bar but there is plenty of space outside where they also feature live music on certain nights. I chose the 1693 Premium Flight and they were really good ... smooth and strong! They do have an onsite food truck that served tacos and such. This is a definite go-to if you want to take a break from the wineries.

    Great outdoor seating area!

The gentleman that waited on us was very nice and answered all our questions. We had a whiskey sour and a sampling of whiskeys. One was a bourbon, one was a rye and I don;t remember the last one. When you get the tasting you take home the shot glasses which are square and very cool. They have a nice outside area and a couple covered areas so you can visit no matter what the weather. We highly recommend.

The flights are pricey but you get to keep the glasses!

1693 Distillery is small but the location is BIG! By big I mean open, spacious and stunning! As with every other distillery, we want a tasting! The tasting's at 1693 are very pricey compared to most distilleries, perhaps it's because you get to keep the tasting glasses. I chose the Elevacion flight and hubby had the premium flight. The agave spirits are excellent, although distilled in Mexico they are bottled in Fredericksburg, making them a local spirit I suppose! Hubby enjoyed his flight with the single barrel rye being his favorite. The outdoor seating is nice and spread out, there's plenty of room for large groups and cozy corners for couples. We would have liked a little more info on the spirits and a little more interaction, perhaps on our next visit! The food truck, Saborcito de Mi Rancho was absolutely delicious!! The owner single handedly made some of the best food truck food we've ever had!

The whiskey is top tier! We had the sweet potato whiskey that was really nice and packed a punch. The outdoor setting is nice especially when the weather is nice like today. I didn't have much interactions with staff but the one time I did the bar tender was great. Loving it here!

This Whiskey Room was a must for husband and me as we enjoy good bourbon. So the bourbon they serve here is Luckenback Bourbon. We are the 3 pour flight which has the Straight, Light and Rye. All for the cost of 19.95 and you get to keep the glasses and the wooden board!!! Cute and fun. All sitting is outdoor. They close at 6pm except for the weekends then8pm. Go and enjoy it.

Tasting paddle which you get to keep!

What a great visit! We have seen this small location right off of the highway and couldn't wait for them to open. We happened to on Fredericksburg on a Saturday for once and was ready to stop and take advantage of a beautiful day. The Bourbon is smooth. They have a couple of mixed drinks and slushies along with the normal tastings. I chose the old fashioned which they made with their Rye (the way it should be) and it was really nice. Smooth and a bit of smokiness but definitely a nice drink. I prefer the regular bourbon better than the Rye and light when it comes to the tasting. The service was great. I was able to walk right up and was helped immediately. They took their time to explain everything and answer any questions that I had. I encourage everyone to make a stop off the Luckenbach Road Distillery when in Fredericksburg.

I've recently realized how many amazing gems are to be found out in the beautiful Hill County. This is just one of many stunning spots. I know we had a reservation for a time slot, I think they are required; if not, they may be highly encouraged. Fyi. The venue gives beautiful, comfy backyard vibes. There's a nice little fire pit where a group can sit around or lovely umbrella shaded tables. The area is adorned with lights that give a sweet and romantic ambiance in the evening. So the main event.... Whiskey. It's delicious and it's worth the drive out there time and again. We started with a flight of the three offerings: Straight Bourbon Whiskey, Light Whiskey, and Straight Rye Whiskey. The flight came with a description card, a paddle, and three shot glasses. Side note: My boyfriend wasn't too thrilled with the idea of the pours coming in a shot glass. It does detract from the experience a bit. We also ended up ordering a full pour of one of the options which was given to us in a shot glass. In any event, all three were tasty and all three were available to purchase in full bottles. Overall, this was an amazing little adventure to a really relaxing and beautiful spot. Also, the owners were super friendly and chatted with each of the tables over the course of the evening. 10/10

    Potato old fashioned

A great stop on the wine tour where you can enjoy something that isn't wine. They have big grilling rings where you can cook your own sausage. The best bang for your buck is their whiskey sampler. Where you get their three whiskeys bourbon, light, and rye. I thought their Rye was their best one. Very smooth and tasted great. You also get to keep the shot glasses and wooden cutout board they come out in. They also have several whiskey drinks you can get from bourbon lemonade and potato old fashioned. Was a huge fan of their take on the old fashioned. Was unique and delicious. A great stop especially if you are looking to drink something other than wine!

We go out to the Fredericksburg-Johnson City area quarterly for the wine pick ups. I was pleasantly surprised to find a place that serves bourbon and beer, it was like my little slice of heaven in the Texas wine country. We had both the full flight as well as the Bourbon flight. My wife then decided to have a beer to help wash down the whiskey in preparation for her next wine stop. If you're like me and not really much into wine, this is the place to be. Next time I just might ask my wife to drop me off here and I'll hang for the afternoon. She and her girlfriends pick up the vino. Really nice views of the hill country and very attentive staff.

Nice little stop en route to luckenbach. We aren't big spirits fans but we had a lemonade bourbon cocktail and and strawberry watermelon drink, both were tasty. Host was attentive as he walked out and met us to give us the run down . They allowed our kids to scoop up the rocks so I'd go ahead and say it's "kid friendly"

A must stop on 290. Their peach slushy is my favorite. A chill atmosphere with friendly customer service.

Our guide for the day was Alan, he was very knowledgeable and friendly. This was our first time to…read morethe Fredericksburg area. We went to two wineries and a Speakeasy. 1st Sandy Road Winery which has a tree house overlooking the vineyard. It was such a unique and fun experience! 2nd was Untamed Winery which was beautiful and had the best pizza we have ever had! The 3rd was The Speakeasy at Salvation Spirits which had a really cool vibe awesome service and the best cocktails! We had lots of laughs and great wine and cocktails. Alan was very knowledgeable of the area and the wineries and we can't wait to go back and visit more wineries! We couldn't have asked for a better guide and experience for our first time checking out the wineries in Fredericksburg. I highly recommend Texas Two Step tours!!

I cannot recommend this company enough. They made a wine tour into a complete Fredericksburg…read moreexperience that was unforgettable in all of the best ways. They thoughtfully chose wineries based on our preferences and there was absolutely no wait, the experience at each winery was above and beyond what I could have expected, and Allen was kind, courteous and simply the best guide we could have asked for. They took us to wineries that were off the beaten path with exceptional quality, ambiance, and experience. If you are looking for someone to curate that best of Fredericksburg, look no further. 10 out of 5 stars.
