Been using them for a while no issue but this past job left me scratching my head wondering if I'm getting ripped off. Quality work but there is something way out of wack with pricing. Was originally quoted $2500 for 40 gallon gas water heater install. Sounds good. Guys got there and said I needed power vent installed, ok fine. Price went up to $6800. I agreed not knowing anything but after researching, the power vent and PVC costs significantly under $1K, and a preexisting vent hole was there so no house drilling was required. No electrical required either since fan plugs into outlet. So I paid, at best, $4K for half an hour of PVC cutting/gluing and a few hundred in materials. Asked if there was a discount due to no drilling/electrical and they took $200 off. Can't say I'll be return for business despite good past experiences. read more

Place is a total joke....after well pump replacement ($4000) was told to call back if the filter was still muddy after a few weeks. No torque arrestor was installed like previously, the service report says it was installed. Called back and was told wait another month. Called again after 6 months and trying to be upsold another system. Water filter only needed changing after 1 month now it needs changed every week because of no torque arrestor. Company is refusing to make it correct even though we are far within their work warranty. Being threatened a $2000 charge to fix a mistake they made. Company does not stand behind their work. Customer service was very rude. 1 year warranty on labor and they refuse to look at it. read more

Experience was horrible. Called 1776 to have them come out to a rental property but he wanted our credit card number first. He stated he would look at it for set price. Then he changed his price to much higher. We said okay if it solved problem. It did not and he wanted to come back to dig up sewer line for $6000. We refused and had second opinion and had it cleared out for $450. This company is a total rip off. So we were charged $1600 for nothing. read more

Then day of scheduled work, a different tech came and it changed to blowing out lines with high pressure and the same price, which was highway robbery. Then furniture needed moved, then it didn't. Replaced a $6,000 dollar grinder pump at my facility and it worked for a week. when we contacted them, they stated they do not warranty any of the work. I could contact the manufacturer. I reminded them that I am the customer and they installed it. They offered to pick it up but didn't know or care to know the process for warranty on the part. Worst customer service. Hired to fix a leak in a pipe. They came out, said they fixed it, but it began leaking 24 hours later. I paid $1,200 for nothing. Then I complained that the invoice included descriptions of work not performed. I asked that the leak be fixed as they were hired for. Here's the response I got: "God Bless and have a nice day." they came to our house to help us with our sewer line in the basement that came apart and flooded the basement. we have a pressurized gravity fed system. They diagnosed a clog without even turning our system on or checking it. We spent $1200 they camera and jetted the line but found no clog. but did discover we were on a party line with the neighbor. So, then the neighbor paid $1200 to have his line jetted and camera again no clog. They wanted to dig up his driveway to be able to run the camera farther to find the clog. Quoted is $5000. We had another company come out to inform us because it's a pressurized system the likely hood of a clog was slim. Tested our system and it was a bad flow check valve. $2400 for a wrong diagnosis from 1776 plumbing, a wrong diagnosis because they didn't even check our system. I emailed twice to follow up with them to try to meet in the middle and rectify it before I had to leave a review but they ignored me both times. They are not up front and honest. read more

I contacted 1776 Plumbing to repair a damaged toilet supply line. They scheduled the appointment for 11 am the following day, but they didn't show up until shortly after 1 pm. Furthermore, they never made any attempt to let me know they would be late. I called at noon and was told they were arriving momentarily, but it was more than another hour before they got here. They sent two plumbers in two separate vans, though I can't imagine why they felt that was warranted for such a small job; they were both polite and personable. They quickly diagnosed the problem, but didn't have the necessary parts to fix it. I had explained the issue in advance, it was a simple repair requiring common parts, they sent out two vans, and in spite of all this, they had to go off on a parts run. They returned an hour later and fixed the problem in about 15 minutes. They seem to have done a perfectly adequate job, and the cost was $350. On the plus side, they were able to provide next-day service, the plumbers were courteous, and they got the job done. On the minus side, they were late, disorganized, unprepared, and expensive. My overall impression was that though the plumbers were pleasant and seemed to know what they were doing, I didn't find this to be a very professional operation. And for what they were charging, I felt I had the right to some degree of professionalism. As a post script, they locked the keys in one of their vans and had to leave it behind while they drove the second van to the office to collect another set of keys. had 1776 Plumbing to replace a well pump recently took awhile with numerous trips for supplies. Was disappointed to see that they did not seem to clean up after themselves. Left tape that was removed from piping lying all over the yard, We had large stones around the well head, did not have curtesy to put back after they removed them, left lights on in area of bladder pump in basement and most disturbing, left cover off of main electric connection, which was sitting on the cabinet next to pump, to inside bladder pump exposing the live wires. it could have easily been bumped and sparked and we would have had a major problem. For the price charged I would expect expert workmanship, but not so much. Will not recommend as a first choice even though try to encourage use of local companies to help our community. read more

After assessing the problem, he walked me through a solution and immediately began the repairs while waiting for more help to head over They replaced drainage pipe from our kitchen to the main house line, were very professional and friendly and did the work for thousands less than a bigger named plumbing chain quoted me I would give them 6 stars if I could Will use them for any future plumbing needs and recommend them to everyone! This company is the worst. They were hired to complete a rough-in bathroom, they were paid and the bathroom plumbing is not working. The owner was contacted, and as soon as we gave the name and address and we were hung up on. We called back several times in a row and were pushed to voicemail. We called from another number and the owner once again answered and as soon as he heard the name and address he became rude, belligerent, lied and hung up. He stated "our business is done, you paid for a rough-in bathroom and then lied about an employee he fired for suspected side-work". This is not the way customers who paid good money for a job should be treated. If your employee was doing things incorrectly that's on you as the company, not on us as customers. We want a working bathroom because that's what we paid for and the owner James won't even take our calls. read more

We had to shut off water to the whole house as the leak was just prior to the water filtration system. Patriot Plumbing and Drains was prompt in responding that same afternoon when other companies wouldn't come to Halifax at all. The technician was amicable, polite and punctual. The company's dedication to the trade and commitment to customer service are phenomenal. I needed to have the pipes under my house in Camp hill replaced/ relined due to a hole in the very corroded cast iron pipe- under my finished laundry room. I was told by another "outfit" that I needed my laundry room ceramic tile floor- dug up- horizontally across the entire room, my pantry closet floor dug up and possibly my new bathroom floor- also recently ceramic tiled. I was distressed. I called a guy who knew a guy- "James Dixon" from Patriot Plumbing came out right away and assessed the issues. I decided to have the pipes under my home relined and at the same time- have James team relined the pipes out to the street- so that I didn't have to go thru this twice. If you live in the Camp Hill Borough- you know this day is inevitably coming... You definitely want the right team. My beautiful laundry room and bath are still in tact! A fairly small hole was made in my pantry room floor- which James team - filled in - the other "outfit" told me I was on my own for filling in - they would only provide gravel. Oh- did I mention the price was the same - however the other "outfit" was only going to do under my house, and maybe out to the street. This was all done and complete in a day. The large plants they removed in my front landscaping - actually made my house look better!! The new liner is working well. I couldn't be happier.
