We went there for metal records and were disappointed. The prices were the main reason I left with nothing. I'm sure it mostly has to do with the location being touristy, but I would prefer to haggle at the market instead of paying an extra €5-10 for a record. The place is big compared to other shops but also has a bit of a smell (smoke or?) that other reviews have pointed out. This store wasn't on my "spreadsheet" of Berlin record stores to visit (Yes, I have a spreadsheet!) but I was happy and lucky to just walk by!! The store curates & caters to serious fans of Jungle, Bass, Breaks, Dub and also features the experimental and hardcore musics of Praxis and others. Praxis & Jungle-X distribution houses also use Tricky Tunes as their "storefront"! After chatting with the owner for about 30 mins, I happily picked up 3 hard to find dubplates and an awesome sound warrior t-shirt from their small but flavourful selection! 5 Enthusiastic Stars!!

To be specific, while I was browsing (for about 15 min) asked me if any record I had heard was "good enough for me", and when I told him I was still listening, and helping my friend pick something, he told me the store is for buying and ripped the records from my hands. He gave his back on me and gave me threatening looks. I thought he might be verbally aggressive and I wanted to leave as quick as possible.
