My second time was just as enjoyable as my first! The service staff was welcoming. The interior is colorful and inviting. I ordered the Al pastor tacos with rice and beans and it was tasty and filling. The meat was tender and flavorful. Everyone in my party enjoyed what they had and were pleased with the visit.

We came in kind of late, but were greeted kindly and sat promptly. Our server was kind and attentive, refilling water and ensuring we had everything we needed. He made sure to mention my partner's dairy allergy to the kitchen staff, and we always appreciate that extra attention to detail. Both our meals came out quickly, looking as good as they tasted! We never felt rushed, and were treated with respect regardless of showing up within the last hour of service. The decor is vibrant and tastefully composed while remaining a little bit eclectic; a nice spin on the usual bright colors and design. Thank you to the staff and our amazing server!

Drinks are very very sweet Food ... eh. If there was a different selection at the time of night I went, I would go there

Al Pastor Tacos -- pork with mango, pico de gallo, cilantro, no onions by choice, and tomatillo sauce with a side of cheese fries.

MY 1st REVIEW OF THE NEW YEAR 2024!! YAY! I visited Tacos and Tequila for the first time on Sunday, Dec. 17th 2023 with my friend Susan and her co-worker. We came for an early dinner before a Christmas concert at Playhouse Square and we arrived around 5pm. AMBIANCE -- There are neon lights and signs all throughout the restaurant which creates an inviting and fun atmosphere. FOOD -- I ordered the Al Pastor Tacos which are 3 tacos with pork, mango, pico de gallo, cilantro, and tomatillo sauce with a side of cheese fries. I got my tacos without onions. I don't like cheese that much so I ate around the cheese fries and I tried not to eat too much cheese but the fries were still nice and crispy. The tacos tasted good but I did not like the tortilla as much because I didn't know it would be a bitter kind although it was a soft shell. I prefer the plain flour tortilla's. Their menu is large so I'm sure you'll find something that you like. Besides tacos, they offer burrito bowls, appetizers such as empanadas and wings, and they have a vegetarian menu. DRINKS -- I don't drink alcohol but there is a bar that sells all sorts of drinks so you will find something that you like. A crowd started to form after 6:30pm so it was nice to see the restaurant packed. Customer service was friendly and efficient. I will definitely be back to visit Tacos and Tequila although finding free street parking downtown is hard so I suggest parking a little further away in a paved lot like my friend and I did then walking to the restaurant. **** GOAL of 150 reviews in 2024 - 1/150 total reviews in 2024 - 651 total overall Yelp reviews - Reviewed on 1 February 2024

Like many other reviewers, we stepped in right before a show at Playhouse Square. First off, the service was INCREDIBLY fast. We got seated, given our free chips and salsa, and our orders taken within 5 minutes. They have a fairly limited vegetarian menu (tacos, enchiladas, and fajitas). I ordered the tacos tropical--I will say I wished the vegetables were a tad less cheesy and more seasoned, but they did the trick. My friends enjoyed their tacos al pastor and veggie enchiladas as well. All in all, a solid Mexican spot in a prime location.

I got the Quesabirria and I will say it is basically a Mexican French dip. It was soo good. The meat was tender and the dipping broth added even more flavor. The server was very attentive, and we had a large group. Everyone liked their food. Will return.

Authentic Mexican food, check. Yummy margaritas, check. Fast service, check. This cute Mexican restaurant is located in the heart of Cleveland and it's a must try! One thing to note is that because of its location it doesn't have a dedicated parking lot, so you'll either have to find street parking or park in a garage nearby.

¡Una experiencia encantadora en todos los sentidos! Meal: 5 The dining experience began with complimentary chips and salsa, highlighting a superb salsa roja. The mezcal cantarito and nachos grill with tortilla chips, grilled chicken, and queso dip were standout components to start. I later had a straight shot of mezcal with some soda water. I wanted to sip it with sangrita like I did in Mexico, but they did not have sangrita. Service: 5 Juan, despite his bouncer appearance, delivered exceptionally attentive service, enhancing the overall dining satisfaction. Ambiance: 5 Nestled within Playhouse Square, the restaurant thrived in a lively atmosphere. The anticipation of theater shows across the street contributed to an electric energy, complemented by festive decor, making the experience truly memorable.

We discovered Amigos a couple years ago, when seating was very limited, but they recently expanded and the decor is more inviting and authentic. We've tried a lot of things on this menu and have never been disappointed. Our food has always been fresh and plentiful, served with a smile. Two things I can ecstatically recommend: their house guacamole and their margaritas. Their hearty and bold guacamole is made fresh to order right at your table and it's become our favorite guacamole. We love their mango margaritas. We have found chunks of mango in ours, and make certain to always get the rims coated with tajin because they use tamarind to get the spice to stick to the rim--so tasty! This is a really enjoyable restaurant we always look forward to visiting!

The most unexpected thing however was how much seasoning and flavor they used on their chicken and other meats. Absolute game changer. The restaurant was clean and while was packed, had enough space to move around and you didn't feel like you were sitting on top of each other. Our waitress was very friendly and brought us a round of Tequila which was new to me. Overall I will definitely be back.

The ambiance was relaxing and we got the nice cozy booth at end of the bar ordered the Taco's with a side of rice and beans and a few margaritas. The food was delicious and we had a damn good time, but what really impressed us was the incredible service. Our server Dan was literally amazing, highly attentive and made us feel at home. I don't think I have ever had better service in my life. After that experience we said we had to come back again. So, we did. We came back to celebrate my girlfriend's birthday on a Friday. To our surprise the place was packed and busy. Since they don't do reservations we knew for sure we wouldn't get our cozy booth and the service would be no where near as good as it was last time. I was pleasantly surprised. As we enter the packed restaurant, a man came up to us with such a positive and friendly attitude and told us about the wait time and that he would add us to the list. While we waited we ordered margaritas and talked further with the man. This man turned out to be the Owner of Momocho, Eric. This guy is one of the coolest dudes you'll ever meet. He gave us a few of his delicious recipes he created, told us about his restaurant, and remarked on how great his incredible staff is, especially Dan. After the wait, Eric escorted us to the top floor, and to our surprise he put us at the "Chef's table". We had front row seats to watching the Amazing Chef's cook. Chef Manny was fantastic, watching him work, talking with him, and answering our questions about the different dishes made are experience that much more enjoyable. He took our orders: "Little Tacos" we got the Pollo, Machaca, Side of rice, Barbacoa with a fried egg and a flight of Margaritas. Everything was insanely good. The Margaritas are very tasty definitely recommend. At the end of our meal Dan personally delivered my girlfriend one of their delicious "Chocobomba" desserts with a candle in it, and Sang happy birthday with me. Overall this place is a 10 out of 10. I highly recommend it. I want to sincerely thank Eric, Dan, and Manny for the incredible experience, and for making my girl friend's birthday a memorable and special one. Also wanted to toss in here that it was fantastic seeing one of my favorite servers from the now closed restaurant "Xinji" working on the Momocho team. Shout out to Jack.

It was very busy and we were told there is a 30 minute wait. Not much else in the area so we hung out by the bar and got seated sooner than expected. The first floor is more casual with bar seating and high top tables. The second floor is more formal dining tables. You'll need to climb stairs (did not see an elevator). I was a bit skeptical if we'd have enough options as vegetarians, but was pleasantly surprised at how full we got from all the items we ordered! The guacamole trio, flautas, remolacha, salsa and chips, and drinks. We were there to celebrate a birthday and I asked staff (maybe a manager) if they do anything to celebrate. He mentioned they have a fried ice cream and can put a candle in it. I hadn't confirmed what dessert we planned to order, but before I knew it they came around with the fried ice cream and candle. So, we got to try that. Overall, good food.
