Based on their report, the roof appeared to be in good condition. After moving in, however, I discovered significant issues: the roof decking is sagging into the attic due to what looks like long-term water damage. There's mold water damage in places they said there wasn't along with other issues that I would've assumed a "seasoned home inspector" wouldn't have missed. The report also stated there was no attic access, which surprised me because there is in fact access. In my opinion, these were important concerns that should have been identified or at least noted for further evaluation. When I contacted Biff's afterward, they suggested that any damage must have occurred after the inspection. From my perspective, that explanation does not seem consistent with what I've observed. This was my first home purchase, and I feel very disappointed in the inspection process. I never would have moved forward with this property had I been aware of the problems. Unfortunately, I'm now facing unexpected repair bills. Based on my experience, I personally would not use this company again.
