This place is delicious and our waitress, Rhonda, was nice and checked on us often. We split an order of French Toast and Clara's omelette which came with potatoes and toast. I had high hopes for this place but was disappointed. All the tables were dirty and I had to wait 15 mins for someone to come and give menus and clean the table - and it wasn't crowded! @ $30 for two people. I ordered the lunch special, my fiance ordered the 2+2+2, eggs, biscuits, and bacon. He asked if he could get a piece of french toast instead of regular toast, and the waitress charged him $5 for it without telling him. A cup of really bad coffee, a soda and tea. Kinda expensive for slop. The waitress ran around with her tramp stamp not fully covered on her backside, and we immediately got the impression that she couldn't be bothered with us. Every employee had a cell phone in their hand, and the cooks spent every second outside smoking between orders. The eggs were burnt, the biscuits dense with no flavor, and the gravy tasted like uncooked flour and pepper. The lunch special was a grilled sandwich, but the bread was still soggy with butter in places. I asked for no pickle, and wouldn't you know! A big fatty gracing my plate, ugh. The food just looked unappetizing, and you could tell it was slapped together in between texts and cigarettes. Poor service, crappy food. Won't be back. Me and a friend found this place on the internet and decided to try it out yesterday. We had the breakfast and it was fantastic. I did order the French toast with their homemade strawberry jam. I don't think I have ever tasted anything that good before. We only waited a short time before being taken care of and they were busy. Our waitress was very friendly and checked on us. I was really disappointed. This place got rave reviews from a co-worker and I wanted to treat myself to breakfast out this morning. The decor is just like everyone says; it looks like an office and has wrinkled old carpet. I had Clara's Favorite omelet. I got served coffee within a few minutes of siting down, but it took a while to get my food. I could understand it if it was busy, but it wasn't, and I could see it sitting on the counter window while the waitresses were who knows where, so by the time I got it it was lukewarm. I never send food back, but was seriously thinking of it. I didn't because I would have had to wait even longer and it was getting busy. The food was mediocre. It might have been better if it was hot. Don't think I'll be back; there are plenty of other places to spend my money. read more

Came here for lunch today and it was amazing! I was hungry for breakfast (which they serve all day) and got the country scramble. My mother and I go out to lunch every Friday. Today we decided to try the 2 Bits Cafe. The name says it all!!! THE FOOD AND THE SERVICE ARE NOT WORTH 2 BITS!!!! We waited 20 mins. before being acknowledged, all the while the waitress with the straight brown hair stood behind the counter eating candy out of a bowl. Once she finally brought our menus, we ordered coffee which was delivered promptly. That was the only thing that was. My mother ordered a taco salad and the meat had no flavor, no salsa or any other dressing appropriate for a taco salad. I ordered the Denver omelet with hash browns. I love onions, however when the ratio is 3 to 1 onions as compared to the other ingredients combined, I thought it was really cheap. My hash browns were not cooked in the middle(still raw and crunchy).My toast had very little butter on it(center only).The waitress never came back to ask how everything was. I had to ask the busboy for more coffee as he was the only one working. She never cleared away anything from the table or asked about dessert. When she dropped off the bill, it took her at least 20 mins. to come back and get it and my credit card. When she brought the receipt for me to sign, I told her about thepoor service and her reply was " We never heard of anything like that before". She should read her own reviews. My husband and I are weekend regulars for breakfast at 2 Bits! Love it there! We know all the waitresses and busser by name! Nikki is who we see the most as our waitress, she knows what we like most of the time and will ask if we are having our regular or need menus. I never have to ask for water no ice, she just brings it. For someone to know exactly what we want by only seeing us once a week, that is very special to me. The food is ALWAYS top notch! Their biscuits and gravy are so yummy! and when you can get the blueberry french toast when it's in, that is the best ever! 2 bits is the BEST breakfast location in Yuba Sutter! all the other resturant food in that area has no flavor...it all tastes the same, not something you'll encounter at 2 Bits! Well worth the wait if the tables are full and the girls there are just superb! And pricing is fabulous! Typically $25 with tip is what we pay for breakfast there...and always leave happy! A friend and I came here for lunch on a Monday. The food was good with huge servings. Our waitress was very helpful ~ substituting whole wheat bread for a bun, fruit for potatoes and bringing salsa for a taco salad. The bus boy was quick to bring huge soda and water glasses. We were offered refills before our glasses were empty. Our food arrived quickly. They were not as busy as they would be on a weekend ~ but we were served quickly. FOOD POISONING - My mother took my child there while babysitting her last weekend. She ordered the French dip and got through half of it and said it didn't taste right. Within an hour of getting back to grandma's she was sick with intense stomach cramps and diarrhea. She missed school yesterday with some residual stomach cramping. Apparently the health dept in that county isn't concerned because they said I had to print a form online, fill it out, and mail it in and then they would look into it. And I'm sure after all that time has gone by, the meat will still be there. Meanwhile how many other people will get food poisoning. If your looking for fast food, there's a McDonald's down the street. You need to try one of their biscuits, they are huge, and they always bring you some fresh home made jam, what ever is in season. I enjoy the food, and the homestyle feel of the restaurant, but honestly the service really leaves something to be desired. While I understand they are usually pretty busy I always feel rushed to order. Not so much because there's a line of people waiting, but because the staff is kind of pushy. I don't know, maybe it's just me. I enjoy going there for a salad. It's an ok restaurant. My problem today was the service (or lack of). Although the bus boy (and yes it was a young man) was very nice and friendly, if the waitress could have ignored us she would have. My husband and I have been coming here for five years, once a week....it is def "our spot". Never have I had any complaints and the food is fantastic! This morn however, we went in to have a late breakfast. We were one of maybe 5-6 tables that were taken, not busy at all compared to our usual Sunday's. We were seated more than five minutes without even being addressed. After we ASKED for something to drink, our waitress had someone else get our drinks. Then.....TEN MINUTES later, after watching our waitress take orders from two folks who came in after us as well as refill many tables drinks....yet never addressing us once, we got up and left. Not only was it the most horrible "service" we had ever received at this establishment...we somehow felt it was......intentional? I am white, my husband is black...I have zero idea of that played a part as she has not been our waitress before, and we LOVE this place...but today we felt slighted:( I did call and complain and was told that the waitress was "overwhelmed" which the woman I spoke with said she didn't understand because they were not busy.
