    Neighborhood Special
    Kam H.

I tried the Neighborhood Special - 2 catfish filets, 2 whole wings, and 2 sides. My sides were greens and mac n cheese. I also ordered a drink. My meal was right at $32. It was delicious, for the most part. My fish and chicken were fried hard but seasoned well and were fresh and hot. The mac n cheese was good. The greens were decent - I've had better but I would order them again on someone else's dime. The portion sizes for the sides were meh. Pack my container, please. My blue Kool-Aid was nostalgic and sweetened just right. Delicious Service was good. The lady that took my order was pleasant and helpful. The young lady that was calling out the orders when they were ready is in need of an attitude adjustment. She clearly did not want to be there. The store itself was cool and cleaned, just small. My biggest concern is the price. I can't fathom paying $26 for a meal like this too often. It's severely overpriced.

Stopped by 2 Neighbors Hot Chicken and the food was definitely good. I had the special with two wings and two pieces of catfish, along with greens and mac & cheese. The hot honey was really tasty and set the chicken off just right. The only downsides were the long wait and the fact that they didn't have the red Kool-Aid I wanted to try. I also wish they offered candy yams on the menu, because that would've rounded things out perfectly. Overall though, the food hit the spot, and I'd go back to try some of the other items on the menu.

Service was good and the inside was nice and clean no complaints. Food was also good!! not the best fried chicken I've had but it was decent. I really like the seasoning they had for "spicy" except I would've liked it to be more spicy (and this is coming from someone with a low spice tolerance). The fries were also really good and the mac was ok too (but my partner said it was better the last time he went so maybe there's some inconsistency?) Overall, it was good and I would want to come again to try the catfish.

Wanted to try this much talked about spot. To start with it is 2 Neighbors Southern Chicken. Not hot chicken. Seems to be some confusion for folks. It's a small place, with 5 or six tables inside and a couple outside. It's clean, bright and has great music in the background:) Staff were super friendly, even with a line out the door. It's chicken and catfish, with some great sides and cakes. Everything super fresh. It takes a minute to get your order because it's cooked fresh. Be patient, it's worth the wait. I thought the fish and chicken were outstanding. Folks around us said the same. Shout out to the amazing Greens! Oh my! The butter cake is not to be missed either. Give this place a try. It's a great find.

Customer service - 7 / 10 the young lady at the register was very sweet Establishment - 7 / 10 Clean but definitely not enough seating. 50 minute wait time for fish and chicken crazy work! Price - 5 / 10 2 neighborhood specials ( 2 fried fish filets, 2 wings ,2 sides, I added 2 additional sides and 2 Kool aids) 78.00 - I think this particular rating is based off not enjoying the food as anticipated. It didn't feel like 78.00 worth of food tho. Taste - 8 / 10 everything was seasoned very well , Kool aid was that Kool aid your grannies made back in the day. Overall i give it a solid 6 My overall thoughts- After seeing Bigdawg review I had HIGH HIGH HOPES for this place. That's my bad. But his review was top tier ...I still trust him lol. It was the crunch for me in his review... there was no crunch to that food. We ordered , waited 50mins to eat at the establishment. Within that time they ran out of greens which we were anticipating trying. So that was a let down. The chicken was just chicken, MIKE'S CHICKEN is still my favorite. Mac n cheese very good , creamed corn ...I make better at home, fries were good , the hot honey hot sauce tasted like watered down louisiana. Catfish was mid . My biggest concern was this was a second attempt at going ... this is not their first rodeo , they've been viral before so why not be prepared . At almost 1M views on the video you know the crowds and the rush is coming. Would I go back - I honestly don't know.

The food was hot and tasty. The chicken was good. The Mac and cheese was ok. The workers were very nice. However we waiting 40 minutes for our order on a busy day. I recommend ordering ahead or being prepared to wait. It's a small place and they do have outside tables.

Went to 2 Neighbors Southern Chicken to see what the hype was about and they gave me cold greens that tasted like Glory greens. Now they're in my comments on tiktok mad thinking I'm going to go back and forth with them about my experience and IM NOT! I spent $75 and waited 37 minutes and I expressed that in my video. They're unprofessional and don't know how to take constructive criticism as a company. I WAS going to return for the corn now they'll never see another dime from me. And anybody I know I'll tell them to never go to 2 Neighbors.

Tried out 2 Neighbors today and I'm glad I did - they're on Broad Street accross from the Methodist Hospital. First off, I was in and out in 15 minutes, and everything came out hot and fresh -- love to see that. The greens? Just like my grandma used to make. Soft and full of flavor, but not overcooked. Seasoned just right without going overboard on salt. The fried chicken (I had a leg and thigh) was a solid portion, super juicy, and the crust was spot-on. Light, crispy batter with just a hint of spice -- not spicy, but flavorful. I'd love to see them offer a combo with a leg or thigh and a piece of catfish. That way you can get a taste of both without feeling like you overdid it. Decor-wise, the place feels really well thought out. On-brand, tasteful, and not trying too hard. Definitely worth a visit if you're craving Southern comfort food done right. Head foodie approved! *Looks like they're not on Facebook as I could not tag them.

Food was fire!!! Chicken was hot, skin had that perfect crunch and it was seasoned! The fries was fire too, seasoned and tasted like they were tossed in a little flower before fried. The coleslaw was creamy and had a sweet taste just the way I like.. Glad we have a good chicken spot on this side of town!!

    Banana Pudding Chess Cake

Service was good but there will be a wait. The chicken is fried to order. The cake I wanted was sold out so I was given the banana pudding chess cake and it was a good substitute although my mouth was water for the butter one. The cake was flavor filled and moist. The chicken was good and crunchy however I thought i was getn a whole regular breast piece instead it was a chicken breast no bone. It's best to get the leg&thigh instead of adding a breast because they only offer legs & thighs. If you order a breast it's going to be like a chicken tender. Or get the fish & chicken, the fish was real catfish and it was good. I wasn't disappointed.

The place is very small which makes seating if you are lucky enough to get one very uncomfortable. The line to order runs right through the middle of the seating. The dining area was unattended. We had to clean off our own table. The wait was extremely long and the meals are over priced for what we received. 3 piece wings (very small wings) with french fries, a slice of bread and a couple of pickle chips was $14. Two piece leg and thigh was $11 with a $1 up charge to sub the French fries for creamed corn. Side of mac n cheese $5 and they were out of the greens which is one of the main things we wanted to try. Bottle of water $2 and bottle of coke $3. Actually asked for coke zero twice, ordered was acknowledged by the cashier, paid but was given diet coke (not the same thing) also it would have to be 2 mini bottles instead of 1 reg bottle. They were out of the regular size, We opted for a reg bottle of coke. The taste of the chicken was good but the temp was not hot. I expected the chicken to be fresh out the grease hot with the long wait time and the food being made to order. Slaw, corn and french fries were ok. Mac n cheese was not good. We drove a long way, paid almost $50 and were disappointed.

Our friends said you're in for a treat then, The Mill is FANTASTIC with delicious menu entrees. Fortunately, our friends had made reservations since the restaurant was hopping. My wife and I had also taken a peek at the menu before our visit, so we both had an idea of what we were going to order. It was SO wonderful to see our dear friends. Gracie, our gracious and ever-smiling server during our visit, asked if we had any questions about any of the items on the menu. We told her no, and asked if I could order one of everything. My wife shot that down immediately! I ordered a spiced brown sugar latte to start with. My wife decided on the "Berry French Toast." She's never met a French Toast she didn't like. I ordered the "Bacado Omelette" (bacon, cheese, avocado, and mushrooms) with a side of cheese grits. Our friends ordered a breakfast burrito and avocado toast. The Mill is beautifully decorated and has an incredible staff. Everyone there was SO friendly. While we waited for our brunch entrees, we had such a great time catching up. It was so wonderful seeing our dear friends. I kept sipping on my spiced brown sugar latte, yummy! Just like magic, Gracie appeared at our table with a tray full of deliciousness! Everything looked phenomenal. There was a fresh flower on each of the platters! What a beautiful touch! The platters were picture perfect, and the entrees were even better. My wife had a huge smile on her face. She was in heaven. My omelet was incredible, but the star of my platter was The Mill's Cheese Grits. In our household, cheese grits were a staple, especially at our backyard barbecues. I thought my mom made the best cheese grits, but these had her beat hands down. I almost ordered another side of them. A sincere thank you goes out to The Mill's staff, kitchn, and front end, and Gracie, our incredible server during our brunch gathering. We'll be back again REAL soon to explore more of the menu options.

We were seated quickly and our server, taylor B. was prompt and friendly. The inside was clean and comfortable. It has nice decor without feeling too cluttered. We split a breakfast burrito because I has one the last time we were here and it was tasty and large enough to split.
