He initially responded quickly with a great quote - well…read morebelow the other 3 I obtained, however, when it came time to scheduling things became an issue due to lack of responding. Timing took several months for him to get back to me with a date to get the work done. I eventually made it "in the books" twice, however, he no-showed both times and did not respond to text or call (I could see that he read my texts day of). The second booking, he actually blocked my number when I attempted to call the day of to clarify timing/logistics. I unfortunately ended up burning 2 PTO days to be around to entertain the kids while the yard was off limits. Maybe he under quoted and didn't want to do the work? Anyways, proceed caution and low expectations. I ended up going with a different tree service who were easy to work with and great communicators.

I thought bc the tree was already down in my yard and easy to get to it would be cheaper. I can't comment on their work bc they are way to expensive.

They gave us a fair bid for the job and then completed it on schedule. They needed to go onto our neighbors' property to get the job done safely, and they did an excellent job communicating with the neighbors. They came back several weeks later to grind out the stumps. Another tree service said they couldn't get their stump grinder down our narrow driveway to the backyard. But Carl's had no problem, and they left the yard in great shape with the giant stumps all gone. They had to take down the fence and put it back up again, and they took care with that, leaving the fence in great shape.

I will say for positives they did show up promptly to the agreed time. That's about it. The request…read morewas for them to prune two trees on my property. Based on the quote I received it looked like they would do both sides of the trees and get it pretty far from the house. The crew however did not deliver they barely trimmed the tree away from the house. Any branches that fell to the ground they picked up but they left debris on my roof with no intention of cleaning it up. Upon complaint of the half worked job they did reduce the cost but told my I would still have to pay full price if I wanted them to come fix the job they did not do right the first time. The initial quote was expensive and they did come down a decent amount upon complaint but it's a hassle I would rather not have to engage in with a contractor.
