The facility is clean, well-maintained, and overall a nice place to work out. My only confusion is with the name. When I hear "24 Hour Fitness," I naturally expect the gym to be open 24 hours. However, this location's hours are 5 a.m.-10 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 5 a.m.-8 p.m. on Friday, and 8 a.m.-8 p.m. on weekends. This may not be an issue for everyone, but it caught me off guard. I showed up to work out at 9 p.m. on a Friday, assuming the gym would be open, only to find it closed and had to drive to the Lynnwood location instead. Other than that, it's a great gym--I just think the name can create some confusion about the actual hours. read more

I've been going year for years and years. Honest review: CLEANLINESS: ZERO STARS. Don't believe the management's replies like they care. Don't believe the newer members who don't notice how disgustingly filthy this place is. THE LEADERSHIP DOES NOT do anything about it and they're lying. This place is absolutely filthy. I have pics to prove it and nothing ever changes. Skin and hair layered on the machines. Filthy saunas. Floors disgusting. Don't take my word for it Go check it out yourself. It's not opinion, it's fact. MACHINES: Outdated and dirty. Gross in fact. Especially upstairs. GARBAGES: Constantly overflowing. BATHROOMS: Dirty. Overflowing garbages, garbage on floor. LEADERSHIP: Poor. Unresponsive. Previous manager was totally checked out and unresponsive. Current leadership-- unresponsive. They do not return messages, acknowledge requests. This place is awful. I keep coming because of the friends I've made, but overall gets a failing grade. I know 7 gyms in the area, and this is, by far, the dirtiest. As a leader of many organizations, I can honestly say this is one of the worst businesses I've ever been involved with. The leaders do not lead with conviction, just excuses. Culture is terrible. What is the ONE thing people care about the most at a gym? Cleanliness. 24hr fitness? An F for failing. They take away paper towel dispensers so the people use less. They seriously don't care. If you care about cleanliness, this is not the place for you. If you can tolerate poor leadership and a filthy environment, then go for it. If the pool and saunas attract you to this gym, just be prepared for dirty areas. It's so bad, people bring their own masking smells. 24-hr Fit screams, "We don't care. But sign up here." This was my second visit, having last been here several years ago before COVID. Both times, I was really impressed with how clean and well-maintained the place is. CAVEAT: I haven't tried the pool, sauna, or jacuzzi yet since I don't usually come out this way (I normally go to the Issaquah 24 Hour Fitness near home), but the weight and cardio equipment here are in great shape--no "out of order" signs or cracked upholstery on the benches. So far, I didn't run into any of the issues some other reviewers mentioned. I would recommend that they should visit the Issaquah gym to get a better perspective/appreciation for the Bothell location. :) Case in point: from the moment I walked in, I was greeted warmly by a big guy at the front desk (the manager, maybe?). As I was leaving, I complimented the same staff member about how much cleaner and better maintained this gym is compared to my usual spot in Issaquah. Another gymgoer overheard and chimed in--turns out he lives near the Issaquah location too but prefers coming here for the same reasons. Now that's an endorsement! The manager and his employee are scammers. My mom went to do workout with her friends who already have membership. They refuse her entery under her friend membership, then drop one time fee to $20 and then to $1.11 after refusing paying the $20. Later on, the scamming sellsmen who call himself manager signed her up for membership without her knowledge. And when I ask him to cancel it, he refuse it. Stay clear of this place or 24 fitness altogether, deceiving employees. They must be desperate for new customers. And yes, I contacted customer service by phone and through the portal. I used to go here several years ago and canceled when I moved away. Loved the variety of equipment and all amenities at the time. I've recently moved back to the area and wanted to sign up for 24HF again. I was excited about the Buddy Pass option available for certain membership levels, which wasn't available the last time I was a member. I know they haven't returned to 24 hour staffing yet but it's not a deal breaker since they still open quite early. Unfortunately, the deal breaker for me is the lack of towel service. I guess the company had done away with towel service entirely in 2018 or 2019? It doesn't make sense. I'd have even been happy to pay an extra monthly fee for towels, but that's not even an option. I have always been a fan of 24 Hour Fitness. I had a membership when I lived in California for 5 years, but then when I moved to Seattle I canceled it cuz I was not a fan of the downtown location and my office at the time had a free gym. My job relocated to Bothell and when I saw this 24 Hour down the street, I knew it was time to get my membership back. Things I like about this location: - new gym. I really am not a fan of the old 24 Hour Fitnesses, they need to revamp them. This one seems like it was built in the past 5 years or so. - the desk people are friendly - I have always enjoyed the towel service - parking is plentiful, but people still park rudely and on the curbs which I do not understand. Why don't you go park in an actual parking spot and not block the path? I have yet to try the pool. Which is on my to do list. There's always cardio machines free. I enjoy the spin and bodypump classes they offer. I pay about $40/month for my membership. Also, FREE WIFI! I noticed Lynnwood location doesn't have free wifi. read more

We signed up for two years on a deal a few months ago. So far, we are getting what we paid for. The locker rooms are fairly clean and the gym is fairly clean, also, but not as clean as it could be. Like the cross training machines upstairs sometimes have dirt and stuff on the feet portion and some of the machines have the handles damaged and they don't get fixed. Overall, there is a good selection of weights and universal weight machines. Cons: It can be very busy at times to the point to where you can barely get to use certain weight machines and certain machines are monopolized, so you could not use them if you wanted to. Also, the hours really should be longer considering the name of the gym. It sucks that the gym is only open until 6pm on the weekend! read more

I finally had enough trying to work with this place and cancelled my membership. None of the managers have ever contacted me--it's as if they simply do not care. The gym gets dirtier every month. I've found hair, poop, and other stuff in the men's showers over the past year. Gross. Towels often stack up in the return bin. And the gym keeps getting more and more crowded because they just keep on selling memberships. It was a beautiful facility, when it was new. It's sad that they just have let it run down and continue to do so. --- Previous review --- Pool is "cold"? (See photo.) No. Pool is cold. Period. No quote marks needed to qualify it. It is swim meet competitive cold. The heater is broken. There is no heat. I alternate between this club, the Redmond club, and the Issaquah club. Why can't Bothell keep the pool and spa running? This is bad management. What makes it worse is that no one has either responded to or called me about my previous review. Lowering my review by one star. --- Previous problem from a month ago --- It's bad enough that you close the pool on Monday morning for maintenance (you should do that maintenance from 1 AM to 3 AM instead). But now the pool is closed without notice on Tuesday morning because the maintenance you did on Monday morning caused problems that are still not resolved. This is bad management. read more

Easily the nicest gym I've been a member of, I take full advantage of their facilities and equipment and highly recommend this location to any one living in the bothell area. Much nicer than their other locations and the staff and environment are great. Clean sauna, steam room and locker room. Lots of equipment for all skill levels and convenient location right off of the highway. Only wish they could stay open later/24-7 but they're still pretty short staffed after covid, as are most places. 10pm is still plenty of time and they don't rush you out of the door. read more

I signed up for a 3 day pass about 3 weeks ago and was called later that day and told that they were only accepting members right now but I'd be able to use the pass to test out the gym to see if I liked it once the county entered Phase 2 under WA State COVID rules. No problem. I thanked them for the call to let me know. Phase 2 started today, February 1st. So I called into this location about 1PM on Sunday, January 31st and asked to make a reservation and if they were starting to let people with the 3 day pass come in starting on the 1st. The gentleman I spoke with said "Yes", but that they were no longer doing 3 day passes and were only doing a 1 day pass. He also stated I would not need a reservation and I could just "come on in anytime". I visited the gym at 7am today, Monday, February 1st and was told that the employee must have misunderstood and they were only allowing paid members into the gym. I went over my conversation with the previous employee I spoke with on Sunday with the front desk employee. He said, "No, sorry, our manager said only paid members right now". He then called over another employee who said the same thing. This was very irritating. When someone is coming to see how they'd like to spend their money and pay for a membership at your location this is NOT the way to start off that experience. There are several other gyms in the local area that one can go to. Which is exactly what I will be doing. Why would I make this up? Why would someone not take ownership of the issue and just resolve it? Certainly not some place I'd like to give my money too no matter how convenient the location is. Giving two stars instead of one because it is not necessarily the employees fault for my experience but that of management and corporate for not giving proper training, consistent communication for ALL employees, and not empowering employees to take ownership of issues when they arise. read more

I started visiting here shortly after they opened in 2014, trading in my YMCA membership for a club that's bigger, newer and cleaner. Additional attraction is that I can use the other 24 hr fitness locations when I travel. Large facility, lots of cardio, weight machines, free weights, basketball, and a lap pool. Bonuses are a dry sauna and a steam room. Negatives are the high volumes and use in this facility. Since they closed the Kirkland location there's a lotta lotta folks here. It's busy and gets dirty at peak times and on weekends, and for a newish club starts to feel a bit "used". But it's close to work and I can sneak in a visit during the day without much disruption to the work schedule, so there are more pluses than minuses. read more

They have some signs especially in the sauna but too lazy to impost it. When report someone wearing their shoes in the sauna they come up with some lame excuses, his only standing at the corner. But most of the time they dont do anything when you report someone. Im not surprise someone will stupid stuff like pouring water in the heater because they are too lax on doing anything. Almost every morning the locker room is a messed like garbages on the floor. When they mop the floor, they never change the water, even the manager will mop the whole locker with dirty water. They need to hire cleaner and maintenance! Another thing after swimming classes, all bunch of leaves, dirt, mud, maybe dog shit by the swim area. Disgusting! One time with their swimming classes going on, I counted over 80 people in the swim area, thats way above the capacity. The good: large gym with a decent amount of workout equipment and a decent pool. The bad: Fees go up all the time. They dropped the towel service (another hidden fee raise). The club is very crowded, absurdly so at peak times. The VERY bad: It's not even open 24 hours any more, which only makes the over-crowding even worse. They breath next to each other while exercising and that does not have to do with spread of the virus? Come on!!! You are just pocketing the cost of washing and serving towels. It will be more water saving and eco friendly if the towels are washed in bulk at the gym or by a linen service provider. There's a gal with red hair that acts as the "gatekeeper" of the front desk during morning workouts. Perhaps she works there but my wife and I experienced a very odd encounter with her. As we were checking in, there was nobody up front and only the gal with red hair. Within moments, she gives us a very rude glare as if we we were not welcomed. News flash: we pay our dues to attend the gym, you psycho nutcase. After filing a complaint about her, the manager reached out to us addressing our concerns about this odd location. Been going here for years and it used to be great but stopping today. This place is disgusting, got a second rash from their equipment in just the past few months. The staff let people take off their shoes in the lifting area and nothing seems cleaned or sanitized. People wear inappropriate, unsanitary attire (everything from pajamas to basically just being in their underwear whether using the spa area or equipment) its gross. They don't seem willing or able to enforce even the most basic of rules or hygiene. A lot of the equipment is frequently broken as well. This place is in dire need of attention and some of its clientele a refresher on what constitutes appropriate sanitary attire (dont be in your underwear when using public spaces and equipment for starters!) This needs to fall on the staff to let members know what is and isnt appropriate. If i could give zero stars i would. read more

Unfortunately this gym caters to class goers, basketball players, spin and cardio junkies. The space for weight lifting equipment and machines are very tight, not to mention trainers sometimes holding down machines/spots for their trainees. You're paying for the broad spectrum of facilities, rather than premium gym equipment. Would like to see more machines, mirrors, and better use of space. California's South Coast Plaza 24 hour location is a prime example of this (which is a SuperSport just like Bothell.) read more
