I used to love coming here as a little girl with my mom because she knew I would never touch anything breakable. Lol. They still have a lovely store all decorated for Christmas as of November 16, 2024. We were immediately greeted by Celina. What an interesting spelling of her name, right? She assisted me with questions about a twin-size bed for my daughter. She gave me her card and took my information as well. Since we are in the month of November, I'm grateful for Miller-Waldrop for a few reasons: 1) My brother bought me a bed from here when I first moved back to New Mexico. It is still so comfortable. I know it was high end, but it was so worth it. 2) The salespeople are not pushy, but they will check in on you from time to time. 3) They offer unique pieces like this coffee table that I love, love, love... it's like a tree stump... not symmetrical. Our technicians and electricians tend to wear long-sleeve shirts year-round, but we have also bought short-sleeve collared shirts and jackets because New Mexico has some wacky weather... even during the dog days of summer. The employee that greeted me at the front was cordial and prompt with our snap-back hat order of over $1,000. They all looked amazing. This time my bosses decided to order two variations of camo and some black hats with our Zia logo. I just saw some pullover vests on their Facebook page that look sharp - I might have to inquire about them. Other than an issue I had with some chick in the Pro Shop who was totally clueless and later hung up on me, I have never had any problems with any of the staff here. When I was a kid, I loved taking golf lessons out here. It's always been a nice course. Now that I'm a parent of upper elementary grade students, I've had the pleasure of being around the staff and coaches who facilitate the "First Tee" kid's program. Not only do they stress the importance of fun and fundamentals, but at the end of each session they discuss pillars pertaining to character and sportsmanship like respect and responsibility. My 9-year-old is getting a bit bored with it, but she has learned a lot about this great game. If you're not into golf like many wives seem to be - have a few drinks and apps or a light lunch at the Rockwind Grill. There is indoor and outdoor dining available. Also nearby to keep anti-golfers occupied are the following: + CORE (Center of Recreational Excellence) + Hobbs Veterans Memorial + Lovington Highway Health Walk (concrete walking path parallel to Highway 18) + McAdams Park + New Mexico Junior College + University of the Southwest + Western Heritage Museum and Lea County Cowboy Hall of Fame + Zia Park Casino Hotel & Racetrack This course often allows fundraisers throughout the year - so proud of my community for that.

I miss the Tea Room that once was next door, but now it is a different cafe... Outlaw Grill or something. My uncle really enjoyed his ginormous, overpriced green chile burger there recently. I haven't partaken, but back to the boutique... This place offers baby and wedding registries. Many of the items are fairly unique. The clothes, in my humble opinion, are simply overpriced and more geared to more mature ladies. ;) Definitely not my styles or fit. The staff members always have the place open! They rarely IF AT ALL close to set up for Christmas debuts like *cough cough* another place *Horsefeathers* did when I was mostly recently shopping (10/28/20). That's why they get my full 5 star love. I didn't realize this before I went in school shopping with my two young daughters. They thought it was a cute store, though. They sell blouses, dresses, skirts, dress pants, and just about everything else garment-wise in between... Also in stock is jewelry, purses, shoes, hats, and other accessories. They offer more affordable fashion jewelry, but I also saw a young man purchasing some of their more higher end fine jewelry which was tastefully displayed in a well-lit area. There is abundant, free parking in the North Vista Plaza near Music World and Miller Waldrop Furniture. Their Facebook page seems dead. I have been searching for a few things for my new house…read more My mom asked me, "Have you been to Nam's [Antiques & Collectibles] behind Big Lots?" It donned on me finally where this place was. Getting here is like driving through a life-size version of Ninetendo's Excitebike: the parking lots are filled with huge potholes, speed bumps, and unmarked spots. (Did I just show my age with that analogy?) There is free parking. Once inside, they don't allow large bags due to shoplifting. Some spaces are so tight that I would have hated having an oversized purse. Their vendors have mostly recognizable boundaries, so in the case that an item is (unusually) unmarked you'll be able to ask for the price without too long of a wait. There were quite a few pieces I would consider if I was move-in ready. There were tons of books I'll most likely be purchasing in a few months. Plus some nice jewelry & home decor antiques. Great finds at Nam's with friendly, assistive staff members.

The staff has no energy, I've never seen a smile from any of the employees, and they treat clients like nuisances. Customer service is nonexistent, mainly because it seems they DON'T want customers. The are horrible about updating their inventory - even if you look online, that's not a guarantee. So, unless you know the secret, you choices are limited. Did I mention their poor and uninviting customer service? BTW, there's a room full of people who never move, no matter how many customers there are. Go by and say HI to the land manatees! Hobbs weed scene is lame. Save your money and go to the PVP in Artesia.
