    Gyoza
    Peter C.

Not as good as I had hoped. A group of foodies took me here, 2 of which were from Thailand. We agreed to try the spot based on reviews. PROS: Country Pad Thai was pretty good. The rest of the dishes were not very good. Service was polite. CONS: The gyoza tasted like they came from the frozen section of the supermarket. I didn't find any of the food to offer a mind blowing, authentic Thai experience. Seating is limited. Parking is on the street. OVERALL: I was disappointed in my meal here after seeing how highly rated this place was. I expected this to be phenomenal based on reviews. Since this place seems to do several cuisines, I don't think they focus on any one to really reach a level of masterful execution.

*NOTE* There's a small parking lot on your right when you pass this restaurant! Came here on a Saturday evening for dinner. This place is fairly small establishment but has a huge menu selection (cuisine from Japan, Thailand and Korea!). I got the beef Pad See You and it was absolutely tasty especially for the price! Many restaurants I've been to charge $2+ for what I got so I was extremely impressed for the high quality and taste of the meal. Everyone at my table enjoyed their meal and our waitress was quick and prompt with drink refills. This place can easily be passed by if you're not looking for it but if you want some high quality Asian cuisine you can't go wrong with this place if you're in the area!

Alaskan maki (L) and ebi mango maki (R)

I ate here the other night with my cousins. They frequent the place and praised their sushi. I ordered the Alaskan maki and the ebi mango maki. Both were incredibly delicious and just the right portions! Parking is right out front on the street. The restaurant itself is small and a very awkward shape. They try to prevent a cold draft from entering through the front door every time it opens, but I could still feel the chill. The service was good and servers were pleasant.

I've only been here once but I was definitely impressed. It's a hole in the wall hidden gem but don't let that fool you. I will make this a regular stop when I'm up in Woburn. Based on recommendations, I got the country pad Thai and the recommended sushi roll on the menu. Everything was reasonably priced and the options are endless!! Korean.... Japanese... Thai!! Those are some of my favorite asian countries as far as food goes. The meal came out relatively quickly and it was delicious. Very good pad Thai and very good sushi. Both were flavorful and I definitely recommend checking it out.

1 order of salmon sushi (top) and the sashimi appetizer (bottom)

I ordered the sashimi appetizer (3 tuna, 2 salmon, 3 "white fish") and one order (2 pieces) of salmon sushi as takeout. The fish was delicious and fresh - I was thrilled to find a good place in my area since I am very picky when it comes to my sushi and fish. - The pieces of fish in the sashimi appetizer were on the smaller side, but it was an inexpensive appetizer and I'm wondering if the sashimi lunch would have had larger cuts. Regardless, definitely still worth it for the price. - The cuts of salmon were much larger in the sushi. When I walked in to pick it up, the restaurant was cute and cozy and the woman who checked me out was very sweet and attentive. The chef behind the sushi bar gave me a smile as I walked in. I got the impression I'd have a good experience with a sit-down meal here. My only issue (which may be my issue and not one of the restaurant, in looking at the other reviews) was with the rice. I can't say with certainty what was unfamiliar about it, but it either tasted old or like the wrong type of rice... it was definitely sticky, but felt or tasted different than the sushi rice I have at the sushi places I have liked (e.g., Ichigo Ichie in Franklin, MA). Again, I could have incorrect expectations about what sushi rice should taste like (other reviews explicitly mention how good the sushi rice is) or it's possible that this rice I picked up at 3:45 PM on a Tuesday was an off or old batch... either way, I absolutely recommend trying 3 Country Bistro and I'll certainly be going back in the future.

    Crispy Pad Thai!

Are you with a group that has multiple Asian food cravings that include Japanese, Korean, or Thai food?!? Then come to 3 Country Bistro, as they have all those types of food here! I came here with a couple friends as some were craving sushi and other Asian food. This place is small but we came at a non-peak time so it was not difficult finding a place to sit. I overall was impressed with the food here, since they do boast three different Asian cuisines, you would naturally think some food would be lost in the mix. Overall, all my friends enjoyed their time and food here. After getting a Thai iced tea, which is great here! I ordered the Crispy Pad Thai. This was an interesting dish to say the least. Sometimes I crave pan fried noodles so once I saw this dish on the menu I instantly had a crispy noodle craving! I would say the flavor of the dish is not as strong as typical Pad Thai, but I feel that is more due to the cripsy noodles. However, I still enjoyed this dish as a lighter flavor complemented well with having these type of noodles. I was also able to try some sushi and sashimi which tasted great as well, so Japanese is an option for me to have whenever I get a chance to return! I still have to try the Korean side of this "Bistro" spot, but that is just even more of a reason to come back!

First the HORRIBLE, your chopsticks are not the highest quality. OK, that's it! :) But seriously, that and maybe moving to a bigger location that has more than 6 tables, thankfully we came late on a Friday night and were able to snag the last free table in the joint. But in all honesty, there is very little to complain about here. I can't believe out of all the times I've gone into Woburn Center that I've just walked by this place so nonchalantly, that won't EVER happen again. I'm guessing because of the awkward name for an Asian restaurant, there aren't many identifiers that tells me this is another boring gastro-pub. Thanks to Yelp and the amazing reviews written here, I was finally able to find a true "hidden jewel". Earlier this week I was looking for a place to dine for the weekend and sorted my local results by highest rated and this Crème rose to the top. Did I mention they are BYOB? I noticed a wine bottle on the table when I walked in and immediately remembered from someone else's review that it was possible, dratz! It's a short 3 minute walk to the liquor store down the street so we strolled up it for some pino grigio and then headed back to Country Bistro. I didn't notice a corking fee on the bill either, although I could have overlooked it. Although they serve everything from Korean bulgogi to pad thai, we were there for the sushi only. I ordered four maki rolls and my partner in crime ordered three. They ranged from the outstanding soft shelled crab (picture posted) to the "Main St. Maki" which consisted of THREE types of tibeko, panko crumbs and delicate spicy tuna, oh my! The presentation here is killer as well, each plate had an animal cut out of beets and daikon. We had a bunny and turtle on our plates along with a heart made of beets and an arrangement of flowers. The chef here really takes enormous pride in ensuring your experience is a good and pleasant one, he offered himself up to us at the end of the meal, asking if everything was ok and then served us a fresh bowl of mango and watermelon on the house. Don't walk, rrruuunnnn to this odd sounding sushi joint if you're on the north shore, gurantoodled to have a great experience!!

Did I miss something? Against my own better judgement I ordered based on the high reviews. I'm so dumbfounded with what I got. I ordered shrimp and salmon teriyaki with rice. It looks like I did a speed run at Walmart for ingredients. My favorite part of the meal was my Japanese salad. Which also appeared to be pre cut salad mix with a delightful dressing. Sweet Christ. Maybe a second try later... idk. Sorry guys.

The location is convenient. Small family owned restaurant provides variety of Thai and Sushi. The The owner and servers are very friendly. The prices reasonable. The yellow curry was yummy and sushi was good. It's worth to stop by and try it.

This place is none of those things---the interior is simple and dare I say, well worn. But that's the whole point, you feel like you're in an authentic immigrant family restaurant, which it appears to be---a very very sweet and kind lady seems to be the only server in this place (we went on a weeknight, so maybe on a Friday/Sat/Sun it's more crowded and there are more staff) and her husband mans the cash register by the door. Old school! Food is solid and authentic, and refreshingly gimmick-free. What you see is what you get. Shockingly, the prices are about the same as in the Korean places in the food court at H-Mart down the road in Burlington...but you get more and better quality food! And they don't appear to have an alcohol license, which is kind of a good thing because they don't try to upsell you with their drink menu, which in Asian restaurants tend to be pretty lousy mass-market water-beers (sometimes just with Asian labels on similar swill) at craft-beer prices anyhow. Bimbibap was quite unique: rice was served on a separate bowl, while the actual main bowl was full of veggies and meat and egg. Very nice contrast to most places' bimbibap being 80% rice and 20% veggies/meat. Came with a small side of miso soup. UPDATE, one week later: Came back to try out the Korean BBQ. For 3 people, we ordered 3 of the BBQ menu items, came out to a reasonable $100 or so before tip since we just had the complimentary toasted brown rice tea (hyeonmi-cha) and ice water. It was just the right amount of food for an evening meal (more voractious eaters would probably want an additional 1-2 dishes) and the lady came to our table to cook the food for us, ensuring that nothing would be overcooked. The short rib was easily the best, followed by the bulgogi, and the squid with pork belly and veggies was pretty good not great (it was interestingly cooked over the open flame on a square of aluminum foil). Everything was perfectly marinated, tender and juicy. Ventilation was good, so our clothes did not reek of roasted meat afterwards---some places have weak fans, this one did not. Service was again impeccable, gracious and speedy...very nice warm vibes, not cold or perfunctory like some places. Will definitely be coming back for more!

I believe this is a family-owned establishment, offering Korean cuisine. We arrived slightly before they opened back up for dinner, & ended up being their first customers for the evening. We ended up ordering these three dishes to try: -kimchi seafood pancake -spicy beef stew -pork bulgogi Thoughts: So, I was reading some reviews before coming here & I was kind of shocked that they charge extra if you want banchan here lol. I've never seen this before. Anywho, didn't end up getting banchan to try. All the dishes took around 10-20 min to arrive, with the kimchi seafood pancake being served to us first. I personally enjoyed it! It was crispy on the edges/crust but it was a little hard to eat only because it kept falling apart on us. For the pork bulgogi (grill), we were expecting the usual gochujang + gochugaru w/ carrots + onions on a skillet. This was simply served on a white plate w/ a bunch of bean sprouts. We were not expecting there to be bean sprouts at all lol & the menu does not include descriptions for any of their dishes, other than the alert server of any allergies. We're not allergic to bean sprouts by any means, but do not enjoy eating them. It was a bit unexpected since we've never experience this dish being cooked this way. Aside from the bean sprouts in the pork bulgogi, I would say this dish was overall not a hit for us. The flavor profile was similar to teriyaki sauce? Not exactly sure but just ended up not being anything we envisioned. Now, as for the spicy beef stew, I enjoyed the flavor! It came with glass noodles & a side of rice. Portion sizes were average & on par with other Korean spots in MA, in my opinion. I would say, one thing I wished was if everything was spicier. We found all the dishes to be very mild in spice. Overall, I would say 3/5. It unfortunately didn't hit the spot for us. The prices were also on the higher side. Normally it wouldn't matter if the flavors were there for us but I don't think we will be returning any time soon. Perhaps maybe in the future to try their sundubu jjigae/tofu soup as I see great reviews for that dish from here. Parking: street parking
