These sack suppers are distributed at school and taken home. Volunteering at Kids' Food Basket is fun, easy and makes a difference in your own community. To volunteer, check their website and sign up for an account. They have a calendar where you can view all shifts and sign up yourself individually or a group. The sack supper prep typically includes breaking down bulk food items into individual servings (in the past I have put granola or snap peas into ziplock bags and separated pudding cups, etc.). Shifts are usually an hour long and they go by quickly! The staff working are all very friendly and appreciative. They rely heavily on volunteers and save millions of dollars each year by utilizing volunteers. Definitely check out KFB if you're looking for a volunteer opportunity. Shifts fill up quickly, so check their calendar early and often! You can also help out with offsite projects - my friends and I got together around Thanksgiving last year to put together supper packs which consist of juice boxes, fruit cups, granola bars, raisins, crackers, etc. It was a super easy and fun way to give back while getting a group of friends together.

The store is pretty big, and was organized pretty well, especially based on some of these other reviews. I saw racks of bathing suits, tons of clothes, shoes, bags, kitchenware, household goods, etc. I didn't realize that you can get brand new items at this Goodwill (or maybe all Goodwill stores?) so we ended up buying a set of brand new shower curtain hooks, a reusable ice pack for a cooler, and a hanging rack for our entryway - all things we actually needed, and we only spent about $8 total. I guess I've been sleeping on Goodwill and I will be back in the future! They also have lots of books, some furniture, I even saw suitcases... really a little bit of everything.

GW does a fantastic job at hiring the right people for this location. This location has a lot of hidden gems because they are located near the medical mile. Lot's of wealthy family donations. Prices are great compared to Goodwill locations nationwide. They only markup a few items. On average, clothing prices range from $5-$8. Obviously, don't buy the Walmart brands because they aren't worth it. This is my third favorite GW location. Great deals to be had, AND I am also highly impressed by the caliber of staff. They handle customer situations that can be difficult, in a professional and respectful manner. PRO TIP: Sign up for texting Tuesday AND email. They are separate, and send out different coupon offers.
