First time getting takeout from 3 Seasons Thai Bistro and we enjoyed everything! We got the prik king green beans with shrimp, pad see ew with tofu, and crab fried rice. All of these dishes were flavorful and not overly spicy or greasy. We even had enough for leftovers, which I look forward to enjoying tomorrow. Though we can't comment on the service or ambiance not having dined in the restaurant, I hope both are as great as the food. I do not get the negative reviews of this amazing Thai spot. Must have been previous ownership? The pad Thai had such complex flavor, was not overly sweet, and the noodles were fresh. We also ordered the peanut lover, delicious. Thai iced tea was more tea forward, which I appreciate. Imperial rolls were a highlight. The service is excellent. Love the vibe, cozy but night-club-esque. Definitely coming back to try more of their dishes! Don't overlook this place. read more

This restaurant is truly a hidden gem tucked away in the Oakmore neighborhood and we thoroughly enjoyed it. The ambience is cozy, food is delicious and service is attentive. There was a nice touch all around the restaurant as it was the Saturday before Mother's Day so they had bouquets of flowers and balloons for sale at the front counter and beautiful bouquet vases on each of the tables. We ordered for appetizers the butterfly prawns and potstickers, which were tasty and nice and hot. For entrees, my companions ordered peanut chicken with vegetables, pumpkin curry and Cilantro pork. I decided to go vegan and had tofu with broccoli and carrots. Mine was flavorful with rice. Would come back again to try other entrees. read more

If they only represent three seasons, which one do they leave out? Inquiring minds want to know. OK, maybe just me. Turns out Thailand doesn't really follow the four seasons. Their seasons are hot, cold, and wet. Just three. Now I would've never tried this quaint Thai spot were it not for my desire to explore Dimond Canyon and Sausal Creek. It wasn't like I worked up that much of an appetite from walking in the subterranean foliage, but it just looked pretty inviting so I ordered some dishes for takeout. The $10.95 Grilled Prawn Salad was a refreshing starter even if they only provided a quartet of prawns along with the red onion, cilantro, tomato, carrot, lettuce, cucumber slices, and lemongrass (photo: https://bit.ly/3qfOjaK). They recently renovated the dining area and it's a lovely little restaurant. Highly recommend the masaman curry, all the stir fries and salads. This is a great little Thai restaurant tucked into the Oakmore neighborhood of Oakland. I recently ordered online for pickup from their lunch menu. The lunch menu is very abbreviated from the dinner menu and I am not certain if the dinner menu is available at all times they are open. It isn't clear from the web site. They offer options for meat or veggies/tofu with each item. I ordered the following: Eggplant Delight w/beef Chow Mein w/chicken Spicy Fried Rice/vegetables See Ew Noodles/tofu Overall, everything was delicious and very tasty. Each noodle dish had just the right consistency and texture in the individual noodles and had a nice supply of other ingredients. The eggplant was cooked well and tasty, but I found some of the beef pieces overly chewy. It came with white rice. The fried rice was great, yet not at all spicy. (On the dinner menu you can choose the level it spiciness for each dish). The tofu with the See Ew was tender and well cooked. I will definitely be back to try other dishes. I love this place. It's been my go-to since I found it several months ago. Yellow curry chicken and chicken Pad Thai are the way to go here. They're easy to call in an order for pick up, and soon after, it's like magic. Amazing food appears. The staff couldn't be friendlier and accommodating either. What can I say ? The first time I drove to this little cute town, I felt I was immediately fall in love with it. I parked my car and saw this beautiful little Thai restaurant I thought, I must come here after work on Friday ! The tall good looking guy who worked in the front was very friendly and helpful. I ordered fresh veggies rolls, coconut soup with tofu and pumpkin curry. I didn't expect the soup and curry served so hot ( temperature hot ) I loved it so so so much ! There is nothing feel better like the hot soup inside my tummy ! Plus, they used silk ( extra soft ) tofu for the soup ! I never had that in any Thai restaurants. It really tasted so much better to use extra soft tofu for the soup. The pumpkin curry got some hot spices, so it even made this dish more delicious. I'm so glad to found this place that so close from my work. I really don't mind to eat there alone. I feel very comfortable and happy. The guy told me to sit wherever I want since they just opened ( 4 pm ) no one was there yet. I have always liked the bigger table even I'm eating alone. What can I say ? Today is Friday ! Wow! Such a sweet place right up the hill from where I live and I had no idea! Was in the mood for some Thai food, but didn't feel like paying exorbitant delivery fees so picked the closest place to my house. Turns out it's right up the street from Rocky's market. It's got a very nice vibe and I look forward to going back and eating at the restaurant. Tonight, I treated myself to pumpkin curry with tofu and drunken noodles with veggies. Sticky rice on the side. I am very pleased. The curry is scrumptious and the pumpkin is so tasty. The fat rice noodles are perfectly cooked and have that beautiful char on them. Veggies could be a bit less cooked, but they are fresh and flavorful. Portions are generous. 4 minutes from my house?! I'll be back! read more

Wow, what a difference a couple of years makes. Stopped by this past week and the entire interior was different than I remembered. No more steps down to shabby little tables, the interior seemed refreshed and new, and so did the menu. When I saw the duck fried rice I just started drooling, and boy did they deliver. The rice was seasoned beautifully and the duck was tender, flavorful and plentiful. The Silver Noodle Salad hid all kinds of gems from the sea, with plenty of cucumbers but a little too much raw red onion for my palate. They inquired about our spice level for the salad and we said medium not knowing what to expect, but more spicy would have been welcomed. I used to love eating here and getting delivery. I went back recently and wow have their flavors and service gone down. I used to love the rib appetizer. So tender and the sauce!! Now, no sauce, still tender but no where near the flavor they used to have. Not to mention, a large piece of plastic was in my container. It looked like a plastic wrap to the ribs?! Do they buy these and not make them?! Gross and dumb practices. The spring rolls are terrible. All lettuce cabbage and carrot, way too thick rice paper, no mint, no flavor and the peanut sauce had way too much coconut oil. Pad Thai was dry and glumpy. I called to speak with a someone and was told this is their food now. Ok! With so many Thai options out there, sadly it's time to move on. read more

This is such a great find! It's at the five corners on Leimert Blvd, right off Park, next block up from Rocky's. Parking is easy. We get takeout there about every week. That's how much we love it and so do our guests! The people who work there, including the owner, who is usually in the kitchen where you can see him, are so nice, which makes a big difference. The dishes are very generous, and the sauces are rich and tasty. Our go-to dishes are the Yellow Curry with chicken; the Peanut Sauce Lover, usually with shrimp, but it's fabulous with the lightly fried tofu; and the Spicy Basil with shrimp. Your choice on the "meat" on each dish. The Coconut Milk Soup is addictive and the Green Papaya Salad (shredded) complements every dish. We always get extra rice for the extra sauces. This is a small little restaurant in a quiet neighborhood. We were quite a large group (14 people). There wasn't space for us to all sit together so we were initially all split, but then the staff made it possible by moving some table around to accommodate us. The food was okay, but the space where we sat was so tight it was a but uncomfortable. I might have had a very different experience if we were a smaller group. :) read more

Came to 3 Seasons after visiting the Oakland Temple and seeing the Christmas lights. We just pulled up yelp and looked for close by restaurants. 3 Seasons came up and was highly rated. It was also a little out of our way and Waze took us through some loopy streets. But let's get to the point. We were pleasantly surprised! They were very accommodating with getting us a high chair for our son. The food came out fast after we ordered and our waters were kept full. Everything we ordered was just simply delicious - from the Pad Thai to the empanada's appetizer to the mango rice dessert. Good service, good food, good rating. Plain and simple. read more

I have passed this restaurant several times and finally gave it a try -- my friend and I ordered several dishes -- the crispy spring rolls were a bit greasy but rather as expected. The crispy tofu cashew nut was pretty good - the tofu was very well fried and breaded. My friend ordered a vegetable dish that was swimming in a sea of oil. It was not great and we left more than half of it on the table. The restaurant interior is decorated with bright colors -- and seemed to have some leftover Valentine's decorations up. The area where we were seated seemed like a rehabbed basement with terrible acoustics: we were subjected throughout our meal to the very loud conversation of our neighbors. The prices also seem a bit higher than other Thai places in the area -- I might give 3 Seasons another chance, but not before I've other new-to-me Thai places around here. read more

This place is solid. i have been here a couple of times, and i think it is the best thai place in the area. Its way better than Banana Blossom down the road.....every time i go to that place, my protein is overcooked. Here, i have had a noddle dish and a couple of different curries. the panang is good and you get these HUGE chunks of tender beef. Mine had asapargus, but i would imagine it changes with the seasons. I had a green curry last time, and i honestly dont remember the protein but it was good. The one complaint i have about this place is that their food is not spicy enough. It is a common complaint that i have about thai restaurants around here, so i wont really hold it against them. They have ONE dish on their menu with the "**" indicating really spicy and the dishes with the "*" are NOT spicy to me AT all. Service here is good, although i have actually only dined in once. I recommend this place. it is totally off the beaten path, but one you find it, it is worth it. read more

Best Thai I've had in a very long time!! Every dish was so flavorful and so fresh! What tipped us over the edge was the family friendly atmosphere--you can come here and have a fancy tasting meal in a fashionable restaurant and still bring your kids with you! They have Kids-Eat-free on Sundays and their kid's menu is NOT a bunch of crap, either. No more mac 'n cheese and chicken tenders! YAY! Great decor, affordable, good service, vegan-friendly, dog-friendly and delicious! This place is a hidden gem, probably because it's not in a busy location. I can always get a table, and it's a great place for takeout too. Almost all their dishes can be substituted with tofu or veggies! They even have a vegan noodle dish. It looks a little upscale when you enter, but after sitting down it felt more like my favorite low-key places. They have a few tables near the door and a quieter, recessed area, but I've never been when its super crowded. The crispy cashew nut is my new favorite. Lightly breaded, fried tofu with pineapple and veggies. I've also had the yellow curry with tofu and they were also kind enough to make a side of bok choy in garlic sauce instead of oyster sauce. My friend said the food was good but nothing had that "spicy kick" he was expecting. I've seen that in other reviews, and I like spicy, but I'm fine with mild. So if you're expecting Spicy, maybe ask for extra spicy. They have 1 table outside, so I sometimes bring my dog. read more

Came here on a Thursday night and it sure got crowded after we got seated. My friend ordered their mango tea and I the Thai ice coffee...both were delicious and poured over a tall glass. For starters, we got the Thai ravioli (it was won ton) which delicious and the mango salad, which was full of mango...yum. For entree, we got the pumpkin curry and the seafood one. The pumpkin was very good, but the seafood was good, but it was a tiny portion. It was served I. A coconut chill and alittle difficult to spoon out the items. There was too many calamari in there vs other seafood items. Overall, it was a good place and definitely come back to this quaint restaurant. The service was friendly but alittle slow, but believe it got crowded so the kitchen was trying to push out dishes as fast as they could. I'll be back. read more
