I've been trying to get back at least once a month this season, I enjoyed myself that much. The gondola ride to the top station is pleasant and with a large mixture of runs for all abilities you shouldn't be disappointed. The staff are always friendly and helpful. On my last visit the lifty spent a load of time helping out a few beginners get to grips with the Tbar, something you won't see everywhere. If you haven't been then I highly recommend giving it a try.

We came here on the last day of our Glen Nevis holiday as we were a bit hill-walked and mountain-biked out. We had a game of ten-pin bowling, and a couple of games of pool. Bowling was £15 for one game for a family of 4 (2 adults and 2 kids), and pool was 50p a game. I also noticed some sort of games machines (but didn't look closer - sorry), and some sort of soft play area for smaller kids. There's an auditorium set up too, and there was a concert on while we were there about the History of Highland Culture (I think). There was ceilidh music playing anyway and it all sounded very jolly. There's a small bar in the bowling alley, and it looked like there might have been some sort of cafe set-up in the main hall, which was closed the day we were there. Handily, there is also plenty of free parking.

My girlfriend and myself go rock climbing and know the basics. Although we initially struggled she didn't try anything different to explain the techniques she was trying to teach and mentioned on a few occasions horror stories of gruesome injuries. I kept giving pointers to my girlfriend to try and help her (I'm not expert but grasped the technique quite quickly) and the instructor never helped. The facilities are amazing and should be 5 stars but he customer service was terrible. If it wasn't for the fact we did something new & exciting which I have always wanted to do I would have scored lower as I thought the instructor was pissed off for the 2 & 1/2 hours she was with us and clearly wanted us to leave

It's a must visit valley (glen) in the Highlands. It's breathtakingly beautiful! It really doesn't…read morematter what time of year that you visit it. It's beautiful in all seasons. It does have some history besides the formation of the glen's geological landscape. There's the story about the massacre of the MacDonald clan by the Campbell's back in 1692 that is still told today. There are different versions of it. Was it an Army regiment led by Captain Robert Campbell that was ordered (by King William III) to kill all MacDonald's under the age of 70? It's a tragic part of the history here. There's a memorial to the MacDonald's that can be seen in the village of Glencoe. This is just a short list of many things to see along the A82 which passes through the glen. 1) Three Sisters viewpoint 2) Meeting of Three Waters 3) Glencoe House overlooking Loch Achtriochtan 4) Buachaille Etive Mor viewpoint 5) Devil's Staircase 6) Clachaig Inn Most of these places have hiking trails for those who plan on staying in the area longer than a day. There is even a short trail beyond the Clachaig Inn that takes you to a Harry Potter film location of Hagrid's hut. It's just the beautiful view since the hut is no longer there. Honestly though, there's so much more to see here besides what's along the highway. I wish we could have spent more time seeing it all. It's a national treasure!

Fort William town is in Scotland and is situated near to an expanse of water, a truly beautiful…read moreplace to visit. There are some car parking areas around the town. The town of Fort William is full of character and the atmosphere is pleasant, it is on one main stretch and there are little roads and paths leading off it too. The town is attractive, clean, well maintained, friendly and just a nice size to browse. There are some places to sit. There are a good few shops to look around including groceries, clothing shops (lots of mountain wear, hiking, walking, rainproof jackets etc) gift shops, bars and a great selection of places to eat. We stayed for a week in Fort William and the restaraunts where all wonderful, the food was of a high standard and the welcome from the staff was superb. Really friendly people. If you go down to the water front you can have a very pleasant stroll and the views are awesome. Peaceful and relaxing.....bliss. If you are very lucky you may spot the odd seal. Fort William is in a great location to access the surrounding area which includes the awesome Ben Nevis range...you can go up via cable car to part of the range.....views are out of this worldincredible. Also there is the famous Loch Ness not too far away. A car is an advantage to get around this beautiful area. This has to be one of my favourite places to be and I Highly Recommend it.

Despite being a relatively small town, Fort William is a diverse town with loads of things to do…read moreand see. There is of course Ben Nevis, which has many climbing trails and a gondola cable-car. There are many local shops which sell tourist good and cute keep-sakes, as well as this there is a shopping centre which features some high-street stores. The area has a wide variety of places to stay and if you want to venture out, Loch Ness and Loch Lomand are each about 90 minutes away.

We'd made the trip especially for this visit to the Sealife Centre though and I would recommend that you don't do that if you plan on visiting. While we spent a good chunk of time wandering around here, it's definitely not a full day visit type of place. The Sealife Centre was closing for refurbishment to the aquariam the very next day after our visit and I'm intrigued to see what they plan on doing with it. Some of the exhibits were lovely, very unique and colourful. But some were a bit on the tired side and could definitely do with a bit of a makeover. Highlights included the otters, who were very cute little show offs. They came up to see us when we went to the viewing platform and immediately jumped in the water to show off their swimming skills. They seemed very used to having visitors and looked like they were loving the attention. A very lovely addition to the sanctuary. The shark and ray feeding tank was my son's favourite. Seeing all those giant fish come to the surface for food kept him very amused. If it was a nicer day I'm sure he would have loved their big adventure park they have amongst the trees, but as it is situated on a natural boggy area it was way too damp to spend any considerable amount of time on. The seals - our main reason for visiting - were in a tank that I would probably have expected to be a bit cleaner and more accessible for viewing. They do have a little walk around that covers about a third of the area but I can imagine on busier days it would get quite cramped. The view wasn't the greatest on a day where we had the run of the place! We got tickets for this from Craig S's latest ski trip so we got a considerable discount on our entry. Two adults with the discount was £16, without it would have been £24 - and I can honestly say I would have felt a bit duped if I'd paid that to get into such a small centre. It's definitely a 3 star place. If we were in the area and had a discount pass again we'd probably nip in to see the refurbishment but it's not something we'd plan a whole day around again.

I visited here back in september when up in oban for my birthday and i really loved it…read more Its a little bit of a drive from oban but pretty well signposted and it was a glorious day so we didnt mind the drive at all. I agree with the other comments that it did in places appear a little bit run down so i am pleased to see that it is due to undergo an upgrade. The highlight for me tho was the sea lions. They are one of my favourite animals and they made the day. Im looking forward to returning after the upgrade to see whats been done.

Walking along the Glen Coe is a must-do. Great views all around. For a different experience you…read morecould choose this hiking area. It's mostly woodlands. Just at the start there is a nice photo op with the Glencoe river and the mountains in the back. Besides that there won't be much of a view. But it is a really nice walking/hiking trail. Can be muddy even on sunny days. So bring so good shoes. Can be cool as well, even in summer, since almost all of the time inside the woods. There are two loop trails to signal rock and an torr and back. With some offline maps it's easy to stay on track. Even though no views it was a very nice way to spend an afternoon. Very peaceful, quiet and relaxing. Our Bulldog enjoyed it as well. Be sure not to miss out on An Torr itself. There's a sign with information and it's on top of the hill. So you won't miss it. After this little hike we didn't leave yet. The small walk along the river towards Loch Achtriochtan was very nice, easy and rewarding with some nice views. No need to repark. The trail starts right at the same carpark.
