We were in need of siding repairs and called 3 JM Exteriors for an estimate. Since we had so many areas where the cedar was rotting we needed to replace the siding on our entire house. Dan came & explained the maintenance-free James Hardie siding and we loved the look. The crew were hard working, respectful of our property, and made sure everything was cleaned up everyday. These storm chasers put a new roof on our house after a big hail storm and changed our gutters and Some siding. Gutters started leaking immediately and roof over garage started leaking the next spring. A guy came out and looked at the roof from the driveway and said it would hVe to be leaking while looking at it so we called them back when it was raining but that didnt work either. Called back that fall/winter after it had been leaking again. They looked at it and said to call back in the spring. Called back in spring. Thats when they quit answering the phone. Shouldnt be hard to figure out. Ive already got the drywall down in garage ceiling because it was falling down from the water. Currently looking to hire someone else to fix their shoddy work. I had Danny come out for an estimate to repair some siding and get a quote for a new roof. He seemed great at the time, told me he could have an estimate in a few days and could start the job within 2 weeks. After 10 days of no estimate sent, I called and left a message with him on his phone. No reply. I then called the office the next day and the receptionist said she would call Danny and have him contact me. Its' been 3 more days, I give up. Would not recommend. HOMEOWNERS BEWARE- we had an awful experience with 3JM Exteriors, Inc. and their owner, Jeff Martin. We hired the company in September 2022 for a simple gutter replacement on our two detached garages and it was the worst experience we have ever had with a contractor. The work they attempted was sloppy at best and left us with leaking gutters that were pitched incorrectly causing them to overflow each time it rained. Against our better judgement, we gave 3JM's crew three attempts to come back to our property to fix it. After the third attempt to get it right, our gutters were still leaking, overflowing, and pitched incorrectly. We were told by both the owner and the sales rep that this was "the best their crew could do". In addition, their crew also caused over $2000 worth of damage to our driveway and personal property while attempting to complete/fix their work. We had to hire another gutter company to completely rip off and replace the work that 3JM Exteriors had done. The owner refused to reimburse us for the initial deposit we paid for the job or for our property damage. We filed in small claims court- Dupage County Case #2023SC006032. We received a judgement in our favor on April 1st, 2024. Even after losing the case in small claims, Jeff Martin still refused to pay what was owed to us and we had to file additional court proceedings to try to collect our money from 3JM Exteriors. It wasn't until 4 days before our next scheduled court date (almost 3 months after 3JM lost the case) did Jeff Martin finally reach out to pay us claiming there was a "miscommunication with his attorney". I sincerely hope this review helps another homeowner from going through the same nightmare we did with them. read more

At the onset of discussing the roofing repairs with 3JM, my wife and I were pleased with how they engaged with us. James Sako and Matt Brasic listened attentively to all our concerns, were very courteous and helpful in answering all our questions which included a lot of in-person meetings, calls and text messages. Last August, the crew who worked on the roof started early morning and did an efficient job. James was present during times of the repair and oversaw the work was done correctly. After the job, he also made sure that we were satisfied with it. We also recently had the same company replace the gutters and leaf guards. James was also present to check on the crew as well as answer questions we had. We would highly recommend this company for any exterior housing repairs or remodeling. read more

The estimate guy was a fast talker let's call him j man. Very aggressive crew that beats the heck out of your home. They ruined by gutters and do not clean up well. The main guy arrives briefly then disappears and let's his crew of immigrants who speak no English tear into it. Sure they are fast but at what cost. I'll tell ya damage when it's all done. Nice shingles because I picked good ones. The guy that came out just should have been present more when his guys were working. read more

However it has been almost 4 weeks and despite my repeated attempts to follow up to get an estimate I never heard from them again. I can't review the services of 3JM Exteriors, because the services never happened. I called 3JM on July 18, 2018 and spoke to Kim, (who seemed very nice). Leo contacted me more than a week later, and we scheduled an appointment for an estimate for July 26 at 4:30. When he was 30 minutes late, I called him. He didn't answer, so I left a message. He called back a couple of hours later, and we rescheduled for the next day. I was interested in replacing a few windows as well as a specialized roof above my sunroom. After he assessed the situation, and took some measurements, he said I should receive the estimate via email within 10 days. Note: he did not have an official document to write down the measurements or notes, instead, he used a small piece of scrap paper. After nearly two weeks had passed, I called and left him a message asking about the estimate. He never called back. On August 21, I called the main number and spoke to Faith, (also very nice), and explained that I had been waiting to hear from Leo. She assured me Leo was reliable and would pass the message asking him to contact me. Today is September 8, and I have not heard back from Leo, or any follow-up from anyone else.
