Thirteen Moons Acupuncture - After an acupuncture session with Donna on a day when she also implemented cupping into my treatment. Loved it!

It was time to try something new after many tests and treatments that didn't heal the problem. After weekly treatments with Donna I am starting to see drastic improvement! I was skeptical when starting but I am a believer now. Plus, Donna is wonderful! She takes the time to explain why the body reacts the way it does and really goes above and beyond to make me feel comfortable. 100% recommend!

Many of those currently "doing acupuncture" in Nebraska may be highly trained in their field of study, but have only between 100 and 300 hours of training in acupuncture. Licensed Acupuncturists, on the other hand, have a 3,000 hour, 4-year Masters Degree in Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine. "Doing acupuncture" and practicing Traditional Chinese Medicine are two very different things. When looking for a practitioner with experience, knowledge and credentials to back up a perfected technique look no further than Thirteen Moons. Donna Huber meets all of the credentials you should be looking for in a practitioner, and couples all of that know-how with a fantastic personality. Worth mentioning also, she's currently one of only six licensed acupuncturists in the state. This was my first experience with acupuncture and eastern medicine (though I've always been interested). I didn't have any specific ailment when I made my appointment, so just got a general 'tune up' treatment and afterwards I felt relaxed, energized... just fantastic. EDIT: After my second appointment, I'm even more impressed. I didn't even realize how stressed out and exhausted I was until after my 'spring tune up.' Also, I just happened to be having some neck pain, and that's all fixed up now too. Good timing on that visit. Make sure you take a look at the building on the 'About Us' page of their website so you can find it... the small brick structure is very unassuming from the exterior.

Thirteen Moons Acupuncture - 9 Months Pregnant, still making regular visits to Donna. Couldn't lie down for the sessions, had to sit up in a chair.

I looked at a few yoga classes around my hotel and landed on "community acupuncture" as my self care of choice today. This was my first acupuncture experience and I enjoyed it. I ended up being the only person for community acupuncture but I think with other people, it still would have been a great introduction. Janice took amazing care of me (she mentioned the new moon which was something I was thinking about). She took great care of me and I truly enjoyed this experience of reflecting and some release (i shed a few tears during the "session") I came feeling chaotic and worried, I left feeling more centered and cared for. If youre new to acupuncture, I would recommend Janice and the community acupuncture. It's all going to be okay. Now put some needles in my ears.

I'm not the kind of person who can do headstands in a regular yoga class but she had both my friend and I doing full inversions by the end of the class.
