Although the restaurant was extremely busy, we were seated within a few minutes. The salsa is extremely good with a bit of heat very good flavor. The chips tasted old, but they were still good. I had the chimichanga and it was probably the best I have had in a long time. I wish that they served the bottle Coca-Cola from Mexico. Not sure what they got in the water here is Western North Carolina but I have had some of the best Mexican food here and 4 Queens is at the top. We came in on Sunday for lunch around 1:00PM and for sure hit the lunch/after church rush. There were a number of people waiting but that just told me that the food was going to be great and within 10-15 minutes we were seated. We started off with drinks because we needed them after a round of golf. I just wanted an House Margarita but I hadn't seen it on the menu so when they asked if I would like a large I said sure not not know that the large would be 32oz and for only $11.99 you're not beating that! We of course were also given chips and salsa but they also have a salsa bar with another 5 options. You rarely see those these days and they had amazing options there too. We of course had to try them all. Now for my entree it was really tough to pick because there were so many options that sounded amazing. But I had to good with what my heart was telling me to get and that was the Chimichanga Fajita with Steak! It's a 12 inch flour tortilla wrapped & fried served with guacamole, sour cream, lettuce and tomato, nacho cheese on top, rice and beans, steak cooked with bell peppers, onions & mushrooms. It was so good and loaded with steak and all the other good stuff and plenty of nacho cheese on top. Chile rojo was tender strips of steak seasoned with red chile sauce- not to spicy but oh so good. We also had the pollo loco/ fajita chicken smothered in queso over rice with peppers and onions. My daughter lives in Cullowhee and this is her and her boyfriend's favorite Mexican restaurant in the area. I was excited to meet them for lunch there. We arrived probably two minutes before it opened and they were kind enough to let us in because it was freezing outside. We were seated in a big booth. Waiter quickly brought yummy chips and salsa and took our drink orders. The Diet Coke was on point -- not flat like some places. Menu was huge but I finally decided on the Camarones a la Mexicana. Portions were huge and presentation was beautiful. Daughter's boyfriend ordered the Torta and it was as big as two sandwiches, plus fries! Mine included a beautiful avocado. I'm not a fan but daughter was happy to eat it. Overall a delicious lunch. To be clear, we did get the food as takeout. The lady who took our order was friendly and helpful. We got plenty of food. The rundown of what was ordered: Tilapia, spicy; 2 types of enchiladas, Vale and another kind. I had the Vale (pork, carnitas) and just thought it needed more sauce; a chicken quesadilla, and a large queso. I do think if we had been able to eat in, everything would have been more of the consistency it should have been. We do take out Mexican at home, and I know sometimes it's not as good as others, and I blame that on the drive home. However, the worst thing is that 2 of us had what I'll call Montezuma's revenge! Went in this afternoon to order early an Mothers Day meal. It was takeout. Got home and discovered that my wife did not get her item. I went back and gentleman told me that he personally bagged my order and it was there. I told him we did not get it. He insisted again that he packed it. I simply walked out. I am a local and we eat there all of the time. My co-workers eat there a lot. I will be sure to relay my experience to them. My order was 63.00,(wish I had not tipped) and I did not try to beat them out of a one stupid chalupa meal. I will not be back. My advice to takeout customers is to untie the bags and check your order on the spot. I assume that they can survive on seasonal business and do not need us locals. read more

As usual, my wife did some research prior to our visit to the area. We knew there were going to be limited options on a Sunday, in fact a lot of the stores and restaurants in Bryson City were closed. She found 4 Queens which had good reviews and was open on Sunday. We arrived a little after noon and it was pretty busy but we were seated right away. After we were seated, a line slowly formed. We were provided menus and had our drink orders taken and brought a large bowl of chips and salsa. The salsa was not chunky which is how I prefer it! The menu is extensive, you would be hard pressed not to find at least several things to try. They even have some non Mexican items such as hamburgers. My wife decided to get the Fajitas Vaquero (Cowboy) which includes beef, chicken and shrimp. I chose the Chili Verde with no beans. Our food arrived in a timely fashion and looked amazing. My wife knows her fajitas and she said these were among the best and they were generous with the proteins. My chili verde was really good too. We were both full and satisfied when we left. The only negative was the ceiling fan that was running above our table. It was a little too much of a breeze. At one point it almost blew the foil away that the tortillas were wrapped in. It also cooled our food rather quickly. Great place and we would highly recommend to others visiting the area! read more

It's not as good as Mexican food in California, but it's some of the best, no, it is the best we've had between Knoxville, Tennessee and Bryson City, NC. My husband had the El Hombre. It's for big eaters! He enjoyed it, but like every other Mexican restaurant this side of the country, they used all the same seasoned hamburger meat and red sauce in most everything. He still enjoyed it! I had a combo with a chicken tostada and a shredded beef taco. It was good. The rice and beans were delicious! I ordered a California Burrito to take back to our hotel. My husband ate it a couple of days later. He enjoyed it, but I should have ordered it without lettuce because the lettuce was soggy. My mistake!
