Beware. I ordered a large 50 x 16 building. It was a little complex with my electrical and loft…read moremeasurements which for the most part was done ok. But in the long run nothing but problems. In the end I ended up with a building that cost way more than the original contractor quoted me, with constant additional payments needed up front, and a roof that does not match the color I ordered. They would not fix the problem without me paying another $1200 for the metal. Early on, the company representative at one time said they would cancel my order and then 2 minutes later the owner called back begging for my business back after the other woman said I should cancel it. In the end the metal edges of the door frames were not cut cleanly, the roof ended up being incorrect metal color. The lady who I dealt with Judy is nice but indifferent at times when she is not in the mood to deal with us, sometimes she was helpful and other times not receptive to talking or helping. Communication is not always key for these people. The contractor sold the building off way before it was even done so by the time it was delivered the financier said that it was past due. How can that be when I just took delivery a day ago. (On the other hand I ordered a different Derksen cabin several weeks after the fact. It was done in less than half the time with zero problems.) I should have gotten the larger one from the other company in the first place. I will say this Back Yard Portable Buildings company does not care about their customers much. As soon as they could shove the problem (their mistake which I did not catch) off on us they did. On a good note, the delivery person was patient, helpful and polite to us. The building itself is ok but the details were not as we hoped. Afterward they recommended I just let the building be repo-ed rather than fixing their mistake. Note: They would not install the double doors we wanted and then once it was set up the doors are almost impossible to install. Recommend that you go elsewhere to a company that values their customers. I gave them a not so good review because they made a mistake and I paid for it. They have no concerns whether they leave you happy or not. They move on and could care less that you got screwed.
