Definitely a staple if you're traveling towards Acapulco. Their signature dish is the cecina, a thin meat. It was ok I guess. The tables are long picnic style and you may have to share depending on your party size. The price was steep for the lack of atmosphere and quality, but when you're on the road...you have to stop somewhere! read more

If you're in the area of Cuernavaca but not a local, you've probably got no chance to find this place on your own. But if you're looking for a great local food spot that's cheap and good enough to be world class, you need to make your way over here. Cecina (thin cut salted beef) is their specialty but they also have quesidillas made with longaniza (higher quality, leaner churrizo) that are out of this world. Coconut water is amazing as well and acts as a great stand in for the horchata that everyone loves. We did a 45 minute detour and paid a toll to get here and I'm telling you it's beyond worth it.
