    Busy Sunday morning

Solid hole-in-the-wall breakfast place. Small and tight, the service is genuine and lovely. Food is definitely diner style with generous portions and fairly priced. Find this place and enjoy.

Went back to try the lunch. Had a great turkey melt with green chilies and hot crisp fries. Probably needed a bit of nayo, but great turkey quality.

It had been a few years since I had been here. Not because the food and service isn't great, we just don't live in the area. Was craving pork roll (it's a Jersey thing), my husband had the day off for our anniversary and were going to be close by for another errand so 40th St. was the perfect spot. Ordered my regular breakfast sandwich subbing the pork roll for standard breakfast meat. ($3.99 upcharge but well worth it). Husband ordered the Polish sausage breakfast. Place is full of regulars the wait staff know on a first name basis. Food comes out quickly and hot. Mine was perfect. Husband's would have been but he ordered hashbrowns but received home fries. Home fries cooked great but he hates potato skin. His scrambled eggs cooked nicely and polish sausage split and caramelized on the flat top. My sandwich was as it always is. Bread and pork roll griddled perfectly. Egg over medium, cheese melty. This sandwich is a taste of home for me. Two eggs instead of one would have made my year. This little spot serves great breakfast at a decent price. Personable customer service in a clean atmosphere. Thank you 40th St. Cafe for making my anniversary breakfast a wonderful experience.

Love this little Cafe! The staff is amazingly friendly, the food is always great no matter what I have had, and the prices are unbelievable! It is a cozy Cafe so sometimes there is a little wait but well worth it!

Was up in North Phoenix for a doctor's appointment, and stopped in 40th Street Cafe for breakfast. This is my style of breakfast restaurant - small diner, servers knew most of the people, clean, and reasonable prices on the menu. Had the scramble, which included a large biscuit, slices of ham, scrambled eggs, and hash browns, all topped with really good sausage gravy. Great portion - fast service. Will definitely make a point of coming back when in this area of the Valley. They have a bustling to-go service as well.

Hamburger patty and eggs over easy, hash browns, toast , great tasting ice tea

This is a hole in the wall , with great food and service, the food was fresh and tasty , we started out going to Dennys on 32st and bell , walked in and was told 20 minutes for a table , we walked out in five minutes, headed to 40th street cafe , Food was great , wife ordered a omelet with avacado and jalapeños which wasn't on the menu they made it to her order. I had a hamburger patty and two eggs over easy hash browns and toast , was delicious, recommend this place over any Dennys , they are always busy in the morning

I love this place. I've been there twice for breakfast. I just wish the wait for the food wasn't so long.

It doesn't look like much from the outside, but when you walk in you'll find a large, inviting space with greenery and cool lighting everywhere. Lots of drink options, even for people who are sensitive to caffeine and need decaf, like me. They also have treats for sale. My friends and I shared a pistachio cheesecake. Lots of seating whether you're there to work or hang out with friends. Service was very friendly. And it's in a plaza so there's plenty of parking outside!

I arrived at 10:00 AM, ahead of my scheduled house showing at 1:30 PM, allowing myself ample time to work without feeling rushed. I ordered a large iced tea and a chicken bowl, which came to over $25 after tax and tip. Initially, I noticed the café was quite empty, leading me to believe that the service might be slow due to the higher prices. However, I quickly realized I was mistaken. As the clock struck 11:15 AM, the café began to fill up, and I witnessed firsthand the exceptional service they provided. While I was focused on my work, both the owners and the staff made a point to check in on me, asking if everything was satisfactory and if I needed anything else. I inquired with one of the young staff members about free refills for my green tea. He kindly offered to check for any leftovers but unfortunately found that they had been discarded, meaning I would need to purchase a new cup. I declined, stating that I was fine without it. While I enjoyed my meal, the owner's husband came by to offer me a glass of ice water, which was a thoughtful touch. Before leaving, I decided to purchase two matcha drinks for my clients, which totaled over $20 after tax and tip. I was more than happy to make this purchase, reflecting my satisfaction with the service. If I lived closer to this coffee shop, I would undoubtedly spend more time there. The way they treated me made my visit truly enjoyable, and I left with a smile, grateful for the outstanding service.

WeBe Coffee Roasters is one of those finds that makes you wish you had discovered it sooner. Even more so, I wish I lived closer. The space alone is worth the trip. The team put real thought into every aspect of the experience. The counter has a beautiful waved ribbed wood design, the colors are immersive without being overwhelming, and the whole interior has a visual balance that most designers would be proud of. There are flowers around the cafe that give it a gentle, unexpected touch. I genuinely regretted not bringing a better camera. But the coffee is the real story. They source specialty beans from different parts of the world and roast in-house on a Primo roaster, which is a hand-built machine that serious roasters invest in. I had a double espresso, something I cannot live without, and it held up to the room. The seating is comfortable and well thought out. There is room for conversation and room to get work done. I ended up staying longer than I planned, which is always the sign of a good spot. They also have a merch area with coffee gear worth browsing, and bags of their roasted coffee available to take home. On the back wall there is a mural that reads, "Making good coffee, good fun." That line does a better job describing this place than anything I could write. This one feels like it belongs in Scottsdale. North Phoenix is lucky to have it.

The menu looked really good so my sis and I went to give it a shot since they also have baked goods. Walking in, the space was huge which makes sense as it's inside of chompies and I love that spot. We got some cookies from the bakery and it's weighed for pricing. The chocolate butter cookies were delicious but the other ones tasted a bit funny and not at all like butter cookies. We ordered an iced brown sugar oat milk shaken with cold foam and iced turtle with cold foam. The lady at the register was nice and asked if we really wanted cold foam, and we said yes twice. The coffee was taking a while so we walked around the area and looked at their merchandise but the coffees still wasn't done so we sat at the chairs and tables by the coffee place. The lady at the register stated that the cold foam wasn't working out and they are trying and asked if we still wanted to wait. Well of course we did cause we paid an extra dollar and some change for the cold foam. So it's odd that she was going to give us the coffee without it and not even ask if we wanted anything else in place of that. After what seemed like 15 minutes waiting for iced coffee we finally got it and as you can see from the picture, there was barely any cold foam. The lady was nice but the experience was lacking due to the order not being what we really wanted. Both coffees were sweet and it was not terrible. I'd go back for the baked goods only.
