However, this year we ordered several yards of mushroom compost (as we have done in the past) but what was delivered was 95% wet clay with only a small amount of mushroom mixed in. Because this soil was wet (from recent rains), they were unable to mix it well and what we got instead was a large pile of clumped, unusable clay. Now, after having a chance to dry in the sun, it is a large pile of very hard clay balls. This was an expensive waste for us.
