Eventually, she started yelling because I asked how much it would cost to fix my nails. She responded, "Nothing is free in America." She added, "State, you freaking Americans always want something free." I used to go to her salon when I moved to the city six years ago, but stopped because my nails kept breaking and cracking. I was always returning for fixes. For Mother's Day, I took my mom there because it was nearby and we were in a hurry. Angela, the owner's cousin, was very rude and unpleasant. The next day, I went back to get her contact info and report what happened. She called the police because I was talking to her, and I asked her to lower her voice and stop yelling because I wanted to have a conversation and tell her that's not how you treat customers. She refused, continued yelling, "Get out, get out! I had to go to work." So, I waited outside for the police. I explained to them what had happened. As a business owner, you should know how to talk and treat people with respect Angela, whoever wrote this reply wasn't at the salon assault?? In 48 years of life, I've never assaulted anyone. I wouldn't at my age. I know better. Number two, I've asked for any service for free or taken advantage of anyone. Angela knows my status and what I do. I have money to get my nails done and anything else I want. I've been going to your salon for about 5 years. On and off. I don't think I have paid and tipped the employees very well. To state I wanted something for free is far from who I am and what I stand for. I know you did right because you have those words in your vocabulary, but whoever is writing the review needs to tell the truth. il Writing something doesn't make reality. Also, I am in the service industry. I came back to have a conversation and maybe speak to the manager about how I was treated. As my nails were drying today, Lily, one of the ladies who works there, asked me if I would like a massage. Knowing that Lily gives a great massage, I decided to get 20 minutes, while my nails dried. In 20 minutes, Lily made me feel like a new, better version of myself. She will find every knot, and she will work her magic. She is very strong. I get the same thing every time I get my nails done. Same color, same amount of coats, and same length; I have NEVER had a whole nail pop off or chip this badly one day after getting them done. It was also extremely uncleanly. I didn't see them sanitize a cuticle cuter or nail clipper before passing them from one customer to the next once. They also asked me to pay AND TIP before I even got the service done. I have never had a place ask me to tip them, let alone before the service was even completed before. Tipping is a complementary touch, which I always do. I paid $35 (plus the tip they asked me for upfront) for a manicure I will now have to redo myself one day after getting them done. Don't waste your time or money.
