We bought chairs for outdoor games which were very good prices and they last a long time. They have reasonable prices for all your sporting needs. Mouth guards, basketballs, cups, bikes, hoops, sports clothing and more. The staff is always helpful when we need and they greet you as you walk in. We came here to compare prices for a hoop which we saw better elsewhere but overall, not bad.

I got the shoes, opened the REAX and they are worn, dirty and stained. There is white paint or something similar on the bottoms, on the side and top, there is what looks like splattered Cola or coffee. The laces are dirty and the inside of the shoe has fuzz and dirt. I IMMEDIATELY called the Manchester store and "Wayne" answered in the shoe department. He was 10,000% extremely unhelpful, rude and very off putting with his attitude. He blamed it on the delivery service I used, my response was they dont work for Academy, they are a delivery company. He then says well what do you want me to do about it? So I hung up and called to talk to a manager. The manager "James" was worse than the first guy, so apparently I was going to get no where with him either. So here I am, stuck with worn, dirty Nikes that I paid 100$ for! NEVER WILL I RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY NOR WILL I EVER SPEND ONE MORE CENT WITH THEM.....​​

Exchanging shoes on a Friday night w my kids is not something I was looking forward to. Instead-it was quick and easy and here is what a customer wants to see when he turns the corner in to your store- a smiling employee standing on station (just inside store) waiting to receive customers-making eye contact,being personable and well spoken- that is exactly what quortney did(sorry I prob goofed name but prob 28 year old African American w piercings) I was crabby going in but she made it impossible to stay that way, made the exchange very quick and easy and no hassle. She engaged my kids and talked about music and about t shirts in store which we ended up buying two of. The store was clean and nobody was texting on their phone or doing anything other than engaging customers or cleaning the store while we were in there. I did not receive any compensation or even tell them I would write this but as a business owner-I appreciate employees doing what you train and hope for-giving positive customer experiences bc it is hard to find good people these days. The staff generally don't greet you when you walk in, leave or while shopping. The times I have been there, the staff are usually working on things like inventory or changing the layout of parts of the store, which can make a customer feel like they are in the way and for an unwelcome shopping experience.

Now on to logistics; customer service is on point. I was greeted with a warm smile and asked if there was anything I needed help finding immediately. I wanted to give the entire store a once over before I committed so I held off on the guided tour and did some thorough research of the place. I was not hassled at any time through your the process. Once I did decide I wanted a fitting room help was on-hand and I didn't have to go hunting an associate down to get a room. The fitting room was nice & roomy, well lit and equipped with a large bench, full-length mirror & hooks. The fabrics vary depending on the item; sweaters, cotton tees, draped back blouses, running leggings, cropped training pants, yoga tights, hoodies, bra, jumpsuits, sport tops with built-in bra. I tried it all... They all felt good. The fabric is from the same factory as Lulu actually. Not comparing the two stores but just so you have an idea. I enjoyed the vivid colors available. Price points were totally respectable and not extravagant by any means. I concluded my first visit with a 4 item purchase and left a happy new customer. Can't wait to put my new gear to work in the gym and report back on how the attire holds up under the stress of my weight training and cardio sessions. They subsequently charged my PAY PAL account - when I never ordered a thing! If plastic bags are your thing - then this is IT! My clients notice. Tried several pairs--none quite right. A sales associate in a fringe jacket "helped" -- she grabbed a few pairs, but one was three sizes smaller than I asked for. As I went back into the fitting room for a second time, she said, "Round two, huh?" Came out with two pairs I was considering. She found different sizes, then asked if I wanted to "take them home to try on." I said I live an hour away. Her reply: "So no then?" I asked another associate to hold the jeans while I decided to pay full price for jeans that still had waist gapping. As I left, the fringe-jacket associate went to the counter and started talking about me to the staff. Every item I tried on was re-hung or folded neatly on the chair -- I worked retail before becoming a Nurse Practitioner, so I know the struggle of running fitting rooms. Madewell's brand is built on inclusion, confidence, and helping every customer find their perfect fit -- values I've always appreciated. Unfortunately, this experience didn't reflect that at all. I left feeling uncomfortable and unwelcome instead of supported.
