I have tried several Barbers and Barber Shops in town with mixed results. Then one day I decided to try a local Barber Shop and by chance I happened to get Gus. That was two years ago. Gus has done an outstanding job on my hair since then. The cuts are very precise and consistent and he really has an eye for getting everything just perfect. Plus he is just a nice guy - very easy to talk to, which makes the whole experience more enjoyable. In October 2016 I came into the shop with a request for a "Monk" style haircut for Halloween. I pulled out my phone and showed him what I wanted. He said are you sure? And I said yes! He did an outstanding job and approached the project with care to make sure it turned out just right. BTW I did win first place in the costume contest. In October 2017 I came back and requested a Punk Rocker cut and Gus delivered again!! Glad to see Gus has his own shop now! read more

I've been using Gus for several years even before he opened his own place. He always does a great job and I've always been pleased with his cuts. My two boys come here and have used Gus and also one of the other female barbers and they have been very happy. I highly recommend! As an added bonus he has a Galaga video game in the waiting area set to free play. I don't often wait very long but when I do it's fun to play my favorite game from the 80's. He now takes appointments which is really helpful Just left 5 stars barber again. As always a great cut and prompt service. Gus takes appointments, just text ahead of time. I was sitting while having my haircut noticing the care taken in opening the shop and decorating. Everything is clean and new. I highly recommend 5 Stars Barber Shop. Gus provided the BEST haircut I've had in at least two decades. I regret using those chain haircut shops with mediocre customer service and inconsistent cuts. Gus and 5 Stars Barber Shop are simply impressive. Guss is the man! The barber shop he has is top notch and well worth going to check out. I came to Guss the first time after only getting buzz cuts for my whole life and he changed my hair world. All I asked was to make it look nice and he changed my outlook on having nice haircuts. It's best to call ahead and make an appointment, but they definitely take walk-ins and they will do everything they can to make sure your satisfied with your haircut. I take my two boys and my self here every two weeks. The shops is new and very clean and Guss the barber/owner is fantastic. Very detailed and meticulous for the price! My sons have been coming to Guss since they were 5 and 14 (now 6 and 16)love him. He is very patient and funny with the kids and very professional with the adults. He always finishes with a razor blade for a sharper detail. My older sons friends also comes here through word of mouth. He also razor trims beards and mustaches. I cant say enough good things about Guss and Jacky. First time I walked in and they were more than accommodating. He took the time to get to know me and I let him style my hair as he saw fit. He did a great job. I decided to book an appointment but had to reschedule, so I just walked in today. He told me he had two clients in front of me and he did a great job of engaging with all of us so the wait didnt seem long. Guss seems to have a great following and is extremely friendly. I have been coming to this Barbershop since it opened and following Gus (the owner) as my barber for quite some time. His facility is high class and very clean, his other Barbers working there are great and he is even better. He cares about how you look so he takes his time but you will always walk away happy with your 'do'. He is a popular guy, stays busy and is always really good about trying to work in appointments and walk-ins as they show up. I stumbled into this place about a year ago. What a find. I was just a walk in and right away was kindly greeted by Gus. The wait time was less than 10 minutes that first time. I took my 3 toddler sons to all get their hair cut and I couldn't believe how fast it took! They all got their hair done by different barbers and they ALL came out having a great cut. It's worth the drive to get a good haircut! Gus knows his stuff. For the last 40 years, I've had 3rd rate, fouled up, shopping center/chain store haircuts and frankly speaking they're about worthless but they sure as hell charge top dollar. Just back from 5 stars and the experience was heaven. Gus took his time to listen to you and cut your hair.
