The pool was dirty for the entire duration of our visit, and the area around the pool frequently smelled like garbage, which made it unpleasant to use. The atmosphere was not particularly welcoming, as many of the people we encountered seemed unfriendly. One of the biggest issues was that our site's too close to our neighbor's dump connection. There's about 3' between their dump and our RV. The dump covers were cracked, allowing sewage odors to escape. The smell was noticeable until we covered the area ourselves. We were also told to move our second vehicle because someone complained, despite seeing many other campers with multiple vehicles parked on their sites, including some parked on the grass. The inconsistent enforcement of the rules was frustrating. Overall, we expected a cleaner, more welcoming environment and more consistent management of campground policies.

Our mechanic had a delay getting a part so we tried today to move our reservation two days later. We always contacted the office before check in time to make changes so they did not have to hold a spot that could be resold. Lastly, they cannot give us credit for our deposit for the new date. We have to forfeit our deposit and pay again.

The hotel itself is absolutely charming, exuding a cozy and inviting ambiance that I found more appealing than many high-end hotels. The covers are just the right weight, keeping you snug and warm throughout the night. Plus, the rooms are impeccably clean and visually pleasing, making it hard to leave. However, she also stated they just had the hotel sprayed for bugs the week before. I contacted Priceline.com which I booked the reservation. Our server was friendly but from when we sat down the wait time was slower than a normal restaurant. The host sat us and we waited a little over 5 minutes before our server arrived. One of the first things she asked us was if we had moved from a different table or if someone sat us there. Which alludes to some miscommunication on their part. She was attentive but it seemed as if she was frazzled which confused me because the restaurant was not busy at all. Overall it was good for the price of a breakfast buffet. But it wouldn't be at the top of my list for brunch.

I absolutely love that the L&N Train Station has reopened. ( We had photos taken here fifteen years…read moreago! ) Although I missed the official Grand Opening, I made sure to make a trip and bring the whole family. I have been here several times and with my son, but have never been inside the station. We were greeted as we walked up (the ramp). So welcoming! Large, clean spaces inside the newly renovated / updated interior with few relics of what once was. The two bathrooms are huge plus the new little kitchen is great for the space as it is available for rent (via Clarksville Parks & Recreation). Simple and comfortable (fully air-conditioned) for any event. We walked through looking at each display and reading the banners about the history of the L&N train and its significance. So great to have this historical piece still available for the public. They are only open two days (Tuesday and Thursday) from 10AM to 3PM. My son enjoyed exploring the train car. They have a step stool, if needed. Luckily, he is light enough to be lifted up onto the train. We did not stay long as it is very hot today. Going back into the station was perfect for a bathroom break and to cool off before going to get lunch downtown! Check out my pix... also, the little playground nearby has been renovated recently. Covered picnic table for when it's a tad cooler (for us) to enjoy while littles can play. Free parking and entrance. Go support a piece of our local history!
