Buy the 4'' diameter pole and flag size or sizes is much less of an issue in a windy area. I…read moredidn't do my homework well enough and bought the 3'' pole, so we're going to raise some smaller flags that are nylon only. I didn't know these details that would have been helpful to us when purchasing, but it's my fault for not buying a heavier duty pole to begin with, I accept that risk of bending the pole. Had a small issue w/ the pole moving and had to wait for help but when the help came, Mike really came through! Appreciate Mike for his help big time for resetting the pole and making it look great again and helping me better understand the recommended flag sizes for pole dia., height, and how windy your area is on average. We had a tornado about 2 miles south of us recently so way above average winds really had the flagpole swaying and about threw it across our yard. This mother nature issue was no fault of Flag & Banner Co., nothing against them on the original install. The communication should have been me straight to Mike, and nothing against the folks I communicated with at Flag & Banner, I just needed to keep bugging Mike for his support to fix problem. I believe Mike is a sub-contractor so him getting the priority for customer support from F&B co. might not have been communicated to him in the order in which the call was received, Mike mentioned a stack of work orders, but warranty work doesn't pay as well I get it, he mentioned others with the same problem as I was having, so high winds lately have messed up a lot of things outside for sure I'm not the only one in this situation. I didn't demand service at all, and after sometime I offered to pay for getting on the schedule for repairs, not even asking for free warranty work b/c of this act of God that was the cause of this flagpole not being plumb. I'd give 5 stars on Mike's efforts, he is just stretched very thin, and works very hard to please his customers, but overall 4 stars b/c of the effort I had to make to get Mike's help before I was directly communicating with Mike. If you have the desire to work hard for Mike and install flagpoles, there is a job opening for you right now, I can get you Mike's # if you know of anyone, please let me know, I'm happy to help good people like Mike, he mentioned an add on INDEED also.

Trying to get them to rectify the situation becomes even MORE of a hassle. I was asked to change my order (which I did). I was then told my item(s) would be sent to the embroiderer immediately and express shipped the next day. That was 2 weeks ago - I STILL have not received my order - and I'm in the same state! I've called numerous times, first to speak with the person in charge of my order (who is apparently NEVER available) then I asked to speak to a "supervisor" which apparently they do not have. Every time I call I'm told I need to speak to a different person. Twice I've been told that an email would be sent to the person in charge of my order asking her to return my call. Two additional times I was told that they would "look into it and get back to me." I've yet to hear from anyone. I've asked for a refund (because of course they don't mind charging you prior to your ENTIRE order being sent) but was once again told that "so & so" can handle that for you when they call you back. And lastly, let me just point out that I placed this order on Sept 25 - well over a month ago! I will NEVER order from this company again. If you're smart enough to be reading these reviews than you shouldn't either!
