With local places, I want to give me a piece of what makes them a local favorite, and they delivered! There were several patrons sitting at tables. There are lots of games available which is cool! Apparently a back room as well but I didn't see it. I ordered the brown sugar and cinnamon latte with oatmilk and the vegan morning glory muffin. The star of the show was the muffin. I thought it would taste healthy since there were pumpkin (?) seeds on top but it ended up being like a carrot cake in muffin form with sugar crystals on top. Sooo good and very moist. The latte was great too. No complaints. Not overly sweet. Strong espresso - I got jitters after. And it's crushed ice! The only dock for the star was the organization system. The cashier said she would walk the drinks and food out to us when it was ready. But seemed to be a bit disorganized to do this. She got a couple orders mixed up and had to hunt around for the correct customer. I also noticed that I got my drink before someone who was already sat down. But maybe they had got up to re-order something and I hadn't noticed. Overall, a great coffee shop in downtown Azusa!

It was moderately busy but many folks were primarily ordering and going. There were plenty of indoor seating and a few right in front. I tend to prefer dark roasts, so I decided to grab the standard issue coffee beans. I saw they also had pour over options, so I ordered one of the Ratnagiri. This was ready in about 10 minutes. I was able to grab a window seat with great natural lighting to enjoy the coffee. They have an outlet nearby, so I felt this could have been a great study spot. For parking, there is street parking available right in front. It could be a bit difficult to back out into traffic. There's also a parking structure nearby as well. American Express is accepted here.

And this place qualifies. Had the champurrado latte and it was excellent -- smooth, balanced, and actually tastes good and not overly milky and Not overly sweet, not burnt, not trying too hard. Just well-executed. The space is clean, calm, and feels intentional -- which already puts it ahead of most spots in the San Gabriel Valley. Outside of a few places in Pasadena, real specialty coffee is rare around here, so this was a pleasant surprise. They also sell quality beans to go (huge plus), and the staff is friendly enough -- maybe a little edge here and there, but that's basically part of the modern coffee shop experience at this point. I came for the coffee anyway. Bottom line: this is one of the very few places in the area actually doing it right. I'll happily keep coming back to -- Elite badge or not.

At the time, my own area had lost electricity too, so their kindness really meant a lot. A year later, in May 2026, I came back because I could not stop thinking about the guava pastry I had tried before -- and somehow it was EVEN better than I remembered. It was so good I completely forgot to take a picture before eating the whole thing I also ordered a ham sandwich on a jalapeño bagel with everything on it, and it was amazing. That one at least survived long enough for a photo! The location is tucked inside a business-looking building, so if you see the UPS sign, you're in the right spot. There's also a fingerprint scanning place in the same area. Inside is super cute and cozy with seating to hang out. It's not the most private if you want a quiet solo space, but it's perfect for meeting up with a friend for coffee or a little friend date. Highly recommend -- not just for the food, but for the kindness and community they showed when people needed it most.

There were three employees behind the counter, but it didn't feel like there was any sense of urgency. The young lady at the register had an unpleasant attitude, and instead of focusing on orders, she turned around and started chatting and flirting with a coworker. It honestly felt like they weren't prioritizing getting orders done, which made the whole experience worse. I've had much better experiences during the weekdays, especially when the older women is there service is quicker and more professional. Overall, this visit left me pretty pissed. The coffee didn't even taste the same as it usually does. I hope management looks into improving weekend staffing and customer service. To your response : I read your response, and honestly, it comes off more defensive than helpful. You can list timestamps, review footage, and explain internal processes all you want, but none of that changes the actual customer experience. We waited around 18 minutes for drinks in what looked like an empty café. If there were multiple orders ahead of us, that clearly wasn't communicated, and that's part of the problem. Trying to discredit my review by saying it's "not supported by the facts" is a bit much. My review reflects exactly what we experienced standing there. From our point of view, there was a lack of urgency, and the staff did not appear focused on getting orders out. That's not an "attack," it's an observation. Also, the tone of your response is pretty telling. Instead of acknowledging how the situation could have been handled better from a customer perspective, you chose to argue and basically suggest we're wrong. That's not a great look for a business. At the end of the day, you're focused on defending your team, and I'm focused on the experience I had and it wasn't a good one. I stand by what I said.

Genuine, pleasant surprise shook me... it's TASTY! I felt awake as I sipped this smooth, premium coffee. I arrived at Kristos Coffee (Azusa) on Tuesday (around 9:35AM). Parking is very easy if familiar with its location. Kristos Coffee (Azusa) is hidden alongside the Lemon Zest business's backside; Kristos Coffee has its own shared lot. There's also street parking. (Quick Note: Shockingly, Kristo Coffee is wedged between two Azusa coffee juggernauts [i.e. Pressed + Flower, Penny Coffee Roasters], yet it still confidently competes.) Staff is professional, charming, and hardworking. Staff briskly welcomed me, and Staff answered all my questions with a calm, relaxed demeanor. Staff is also very attentive. My drink took three minutes and 15 seconds. Good time. As mentioned, I enjoyed my Teddy Latte ($8.75 - 20oz - Iced). After my first sip, I fought the urge to scream in joy. This iced coffee tastes crisp and clean; it deftly avoids that gloopy processed taste. Rather, I smiled as its fresh coffee roast flavor and slumbering sweetness playfully slapped me across the cheek. With a relaxed sigh, the aftertaste of brown sugar and cinnamon stretched lithely. I felt awake and happy. Concerning ambiance, Kristos Coffee (Azusa) is currently an order-and-go spot. Its interior is bare bones. There's no restroom; there's no bottle of hand sanitizer; and there's no customer internet. Rather, it's one tiny round table and a small counter. There's also one available electrical outlet. Still, I appreciated the interior's cleanliness and upbeat music. Overall, Kristos Coffee (Azusa) is a story of passion and quality. Despite the bad visibility and hefty coffee competitors, Kristos works hard to provide useful, flavorful coffee to the community. If curious, I wholeheartedly recommend. 4.8 out of 5. "GO!!"

Kristos is behind Lemon Zest, so it's in your best interest to turn onto Sixth Street and park in the lot there. The shop is very small, but clean. Service was good. We ordered the iced dulce de latte, iced baklava latte, and kids' hot chocolate. The baklava latte was good, but nothing crazy. The kids' hot chocolate my kid finished it, which doesn't happen often. Unfortunately the iced dulce de latte wasn't good, it had a very thick layer of dulce de leche that was difficult to stir and the mixture wasn't enjoyable. I would probably come back again to try something else on their menu, but I wouldn't go out of my way to do so.
