Last gas before freeway and San Mateo Bridge! This is it! The San Mateo Bridge is the longest bridge in the State of California! It doesn't take much to screw up traffic, so be safe and get some gas! Of course, there's a Chevron and a Valero on the other side of the overpass. This is the 76 Station between Chabot College and Hwy 92. Last time I was there it was dusty and dirty, and the gas prices were over $5/ gallon. I didn't use the restroom. Best thing about this gas station is it's next to a Burger King! So get gas, get food, and get on the road! Be safe out there! read more

Not sure about those bad reviews but was nearby and needed some gas. Drove down Hesperian and bot the Chevron and Valero were $2.69 for gas so we opted out and continue to drive down Hesperian. Then we see a 76 right next to Chabot College and it ended up being 10 Cents cheaper then both the Chevron and Valero we passed by. SCORE! There was nobody filling up gas at this 76, it was empty, bare. We were the only ones filling up. This is a stand alone station with only a Food Mart and Gas Pumps. Pumped the gas into the car and left. While waiting took pictures of the station. No problems, here was in and out with no worries. read more

This is going to be short (my imaginary friend is laughing hard right now, but I'm telling the truth). I was here with my family this morning. My wife was in dire need of some gas (normally my cooking provides her with plenty). Sadly, the only photo for this location is outdated. The Food Mart is much nicer and bigger now (it must have been renovated). My wife normally goes to the other Hesperian location (Bockman 76), but I'll post some current photos in the future if I can. I love how spacious this gas station is. Entering and exiting isn't a big pain in the ass (because of traffic, though, you may have to wait a minute before you can drive off). The prices here could be better (some other reviewers have also mentioned this). The gas station being right by the freeway plays a big role. Anyway, Unleaded gas is currently $4.01/gallon (at Bockman 76, it's now $3.97/gallon). The Food Mart: Glacier Ice is sold, and 20 oz. drinks are only $.99. Many other items are also sold. This place is close to my home. I buy lottery tickets here at least twice a week. Last Tuesday the 20th, the cashier added an extra 50 cents to my tab. When I asked him about it, he said it was "a new covid tax." I was in a hurry, but later googled it. It's obviously a lie, so I went in the next day. A different cashier apologized and gave me my money back. What worries me the most is that this business could easily be duping other customers. Get a receipt or take your money elsewhere. So yesterday while riding my bike... i had to use the restroom. Like, real bad... Sometimes i just get these urges out of nowhere and i literally have like 5 minutes before i explode... I'm riding and riding and can't find a place to go, there's nothing in this area on Hesperian except an overpass! Until i pass by this 76 and pray to GOD they'll let me use their restroom. I ride up, I drop my bike down outside, run in, and ask the guy at the counter... "Hey buddy, can i use your restroom?" "Well, our restroom is broken..." ***Immediately In my mind, i freak out, but then he continues*** "...but you can use the employee restroom" HALLELUJAH! "Oh, uhh... and can you watch my bike out there on the floor?" "Sure, i'll watch your bike. The restroom is straight back." Thank you 76 Gas Station. The GARBAGE, The TRASH the WORST ot the WORST. BLACKLISTED for SURE Could this possibly be the worst you say?! Come here if you dare. Oh, where to begin.. Well if you have read any of my previous reviews, you will know that I have a chronic issue. My Lexi seems to gravitate towards ANY debris that can harm my tire, and makes sure it punctures it! One morning while late for work, I notice my tire is low on air, AGAIN and I drive to this 76. Unfortunately this is the closest gas station to my house, on the way to work. I, of course have no cash/change on me since I leave my purse at home. Yes...one of those mornings. I go inside and ask the attendant if he can help me turn on the air because my rim is about to be scraping the concrete. He then yells some rubbish which I could barely make out. But I get the point. He wants me to buy something. I try to explain that I left my wallet at home, and he starts cursing, calling me a "B*TCH" and other derogatory names! Funny how he can't speak a lick of English but he can curse like a sailor. I was so frustrated but I bit my tongue because time is precious. I needed air ASAP! I eventually drive down the street further to Valero where a kind man helped me with the air for my tire that I desperately needed. I quit smoking last year, BUT if you want to pay like $7-8 for a pack of cigarettes come here. They are sure to rob you. Also there are NEVER any towels outside with the Windshield squeegees , and its usually bone dry in the water receptacle. My blood boils each time I drive by here.. AVOID AT ALL COSTS! read more

Once I stopped by here and they ran out of 91. Lame. How does a gas station run out of gas?

High prices. Not always open. Crackhead hangout. Man, eff this place. I hate it. It's right next to the 92 West onramp, so if i'm in a hurry on my way to work or something, its convenient. That is, if I'm lucky enough to find it open. It has a big ass "OPEN24HOURS" sign outside, but its closed a LOT. I head to work around 6am, and it is almost never open at that time. Sometimes the neon open sign will be on, but it will be dark inside and no one is around. When it is open that early, theres a crackhead runnin the joint, with some of his crackhead friends hangin around outside, pacing back and forth, obviously not having gone to bed yet. I'm not even exaggerating. I've passed by at 8pm to see it closed. It's freaking ridiculous. During the day, theres a nice guy that works there that is probably the owner. He's always friendly, funny, and helpful, the type of guy that calls everybody boss. Unfortunately, whenever he's not there, the place is horrible. I know its hard to find good graveyard guys, but come on, crack heads? The prices are also on the high side. There is a couple Valero's nearby with much cheaper prices, but I don't always have time to go to them. I used to hope that they'd get things sorted out since converting to a 76 place from a generic gas station, but its been years now and the only major change that came with the 76 name was a jump in pricing. After putting gas in my car from this gas station, my car suddenly began to idle badly! I couldn't understand why, I'm a bit OCD having always taken care of my car (oil changes, tune up, the works) so I decided to take my car to the doctor. He checked everything out and then asked me "Have you changed your fuel in the last month?" Briefly thought about it and sure I did, I was mesmerized by the cheap prices and drove into this station, not knowing that I would drive out with more than I bargained for. He explained that the gas was possibly watered down or cut down with diesel. I'm not saying I know this for a fact, but my vehicle ran like a champ when I fueled it with gas from the 76 on Lewelling Blvd (across from the liquor store) and every other gas station in the area. Hopefully, this was an isolated incident; however I won't be refueling at this gas station ever again. read more

UPDATE: thank goodness!!! They upgraded their pumps, accepts all credit/debit cards, and they have 91 gas again. All is good in the world!

The WORST!!!! Car overheated and steaming... I pull in ask them to turn water/air on... a requirement by law that they do this. Water isnt working. Fine... ill buy a gallon. I get the gallon put it up on the counter. The attendant looks out at my car steaming from the radiator... looks back at me... types 5.00 dollars into the register. 5 dollars for one gallon of water. I flip out reach across the counter grab his handheld barcode scanner (which he did not use) and I scan the gallon of water myself. it pops up as 2.19. I go into rage asking why hes taking advantage of my car sitjation to charge me extra... I tell him Im going to call the police. He backtracks apologizes and tells me to take the water... now everytime I drive by this place I roll down my window and spit... and on the few occasions ive been back I intentionally break or steal something. we're still not even. This place is the worst business in the entire area. BEWARE!!!!! Insist they use the barcode scanner or you are probably getting swindled for at least a few cents. Screw this place. read more
