Returned to the Philippines after sometime and bringing along both my adult…read moreDaughters visiting the Philippines for the first time from the U.S. I wanted for them to have a wonderful experience. We booked our stay in Astoria as time share members and it did not disappoint. From the moment we arrived at the airport, our driver from the hotel with our private van was already waiting for us and everything was all set up and the process of getting to and from was smooth and stress free! When we arrived at the resort we were greeted warmly by all the staff and was escorted to our suites . The resort looked beautiful. It was clean, very well maintained and has a relaxing tropical vibe to it. Our room was clean, organized and everything we will ever need was prepared and ready. The resort also has a private security and we felt safe the whole entire stay. The restaurant buffet at the resort was great but we also was close enough to explore the beach grounds for several other restaurants and shops to enjoy. The resort also assisted us in booking all the activities we wanted to go to and the process went smoothly without issues. Prices were all at an affordable range. Overall, it was a wonderful experience for myself and both my daughters and family. We all had an amazing time!

This review is for Astoria Current(it's not on Yelp). We did walk down to where this location is…read more It looks great also but I think Astoria Current will be our go-to spot on future visits. We enjoyed our stay here. The first couple of days, the place feels like a maze but it doesn't take long before you find your way. The check-in process was great and we weren't bothered at all during our stay. Housekeeping also refreshed the room every day but if you would rather they not, you can request them to skip over you. Upon arriving, they give you a welcome drink and some type of muffin at this small cafe around the corner. Both were delicious. That cafe area is also open most of the day. They have two pools and what seems like an endless supply of common areas to sit, lay, or relax. It was a very nice retreat when you need a break from walking or beach activities. Most hotels in Boracay have their dining area near the beach and/or facing the beach. Current has their dining area on the bottom floor, they have another area on the 2nd floor above it(one night I believe some event or karaoke was happening there), and lastly, above that, they have a third-floor rooftop area. The rooftop area is nice. Each time we went up there, we were by ourselves. They did have some type of bar/table area up there so they may serve food/drinks at some point during the day. I was a big fan of their food. We had their breakfast every day. You can walk in there as far as I know and eat from their breakfast buffet(for a fee) but if you stay, it's included. They also have a dinner buffet but we were usually out eating elsewhere during those hours. It should be noted that it seems like families stay here so there will be kids but it wasn't bad at all. No tantrums. No unnecessary nuisances. The Room: The room was spacious. It was clean. Comfy bed. Sink. Fridge. Tv. Large CR. Table for sitting. Plenty of mirrors. Quiet. The only complaint there is that we were in a room without a window so we never knew what the outside world was like until we woke up and went out. They have rooms tucked away inside the place but there are other floors/areas where you can enjoy a room with a window to the outside. Astoria Current made it so comfy of a stay that we easily could've stayed much longer. The checkout process was also easy. We had an early 7 AM flight. So with waking up early, checking out, plenty of trikes near the back entrance ready to take us to the ferry, taking the ferry across and on to the airport couldn't have been easier. There's an endless supply of hotels and places to stay in Boracay. As much as I'd love to try some of the others on future visits, it's going to be hard to pass Current up.

D'Mall is a 5 min trike ride on the Main road. Hue Hotel is located just off the beach at Station 2, right on Boracay Hwy. very convenient when arriving so you don't have to drag your bags on the sand. the staff were all very welcoming upon our arrival, from the security to the check-in to the lifeguards and restaurant team. the immediate area has plenty of restaurants and ATMs. the busy traffic doesn't affect the ambience of the hotel. we booked a 2 bedroom suite, located on the 5th floor. they were kind enough to setup a cot in between the 2 twin beds for our 3 kids before we arrived. very nice. the rooms themselves were small, but, efficient. very clean and we had a bathroom with shower in each room. AC worked perfectly as well. there was a breakfast buffet at the hotel restaurant, La Ud, every morning that featured Filipino and Western fare. Station X had dining options that were available to be ordered from the restaurant as well. it also had plenty of games and a full bar area that served the pool as well. the pool itself was very inviting. we never had a problem with getting either a lounge seat IN the pool or a cabana poolside. the lifeguards are very friendly and were always present. they even helped to deliver food/drinks as well as clean up. overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. this was our 3rd trip to Boracay and were a little hesitant about being off the beach. this hotel made it very worthwhile and allowed us to explore more of the area. the price point was also very impressive and even with our room/pool/dining charges, it was affordable. we highly recommend.

It's my first time in Boracay and just checked in at this hotel on a Sunday afternoon . I had a…read morelong day and was hoping to get a much needed rest before doing tours tomorrow BUT NOPE ... I couldn't coz they have a DJ by the pool blasting really LOUD music for hours now (they said until 9 pm). Had I known this place is more of a Night Club than a restful accommodation I wouldn't stay here. I'm on the 5th floor (highest floor) but you can still hear the loud music as if the DJ is just next door. I'm from NYC and I've been in many Clubs n Lounges so I know how poor this DJ's playlist is, like an 18th bday type of music. Old school but the rejects of the 90's , at least if you will blast some Club songs please make it the Top 10 of the 80's or 90's so we can at least appreciate the noise. I cannot wait til this craziness ends so my eardrums can take a break, Geeshhh! This place is for partygoers, night owls or simply noise-lovers. If u want some good sleep after a long day on the beach or tours then this place may not be for you. I wouldn't recommend it if you're looking for a restful vacation. I just checked in and I can't wait to leave this place.
