We gutted the house, keeping only the unique curved plaster wall ends. Tony at Pro Drywall came out and gave me an estimate on all new drywall and repair of the plaster wall ends. I should mention that there are four old coal burning fireplaces that had to be converted to gas logs due to brick chimneys that were beyond repair. Drywalling over old, porous brick requires extra care. There was also the wide, unpainted wood trim and the conversion from plaster to drywall to take into account. Long story shorter, this was not the average drywall job. Tony took measurements and discussed with me, at length, what would need to be done to achieve the look I wanted, in keeping with the look of a Victorian home. Tony said he would be back in touch in a few days with a cost estimate. He was true to his word and we contracted for Pro Drywall to do the job. This job started in February of 2020. Covid had not yet become a major issue and the job carried on. I cannot say enough complimentary things about Pro Drywall. They were here when they said they would be and all business. They were patient with my many questions and concerns. There were a few snafus, but no more than I expected considering the magnitude of the undertaking and corrections were made right away. When the Covid crisis really took hold, the Pro crew and I took precautions to protect each other. I appreciated their efforts to keep us all healthy. They did a beautiful job on my home. I have, and will continue, to recommend them.

Thank goodness we found them, because their work is amazing and their pricing was far more reasonable than other local contractors. Rodney was very communicative and the team who worked on our home was wonderful. After a recommendation from HomeAdvisor, I left a message for 3 companies, and Sam was the only one who called me back. As soon as I met Sam, he impressed me with his keen observations and large knowledge of how his team could repair minor carpentry problems. I got an estimate the next day via email, and immediately hired him. Sam is an impressive young man, talks quickly and works even faster. Only the trim and shutters would be repainted, and the team was absolutely meticulous in "cutting" around windows and brick. They caulked, made many repairs that I hadn't even listed, and painted dawn to dusk and in 7 days, cleaned up and went on to their next job. The team was mostly Sam and Chris, a young man with an impressive education and extensive home remodeling experience. They were on time every day, and at 8:00 a they were at it again. They removed all my shutters, painted, then rehung them, straight this time, because the shutter installer hung them slightly crookedly. I couldn't tell, but they checked a level, replaced all the hardware, and relocated them correctly. Sam says that goes with the job, when I apologized for the extra work. And this tops it all. . . The final bill was $1000.00 less than they had quoted! I've NEVER had that happen! Sam is a fine young man with a bright future. Hire him, you will be impressed with your results!
