Decent stuff that made it easier to make my way through the work day as I sat in the RV up in Fountain FL. This review is long overdue. This is one of the most unique rock stations in the US and we are so…read morefortunate to have it in the beautiful beaches of the FL panhandle. They focus on actual new Hard Rock bands. Yes, they still exist. You will here a lot of heavier edged Rock, Metal and some alternative (mostly in good taste but some chipmunk, uggh..). You will also hear some classic rock unfortunately, but some decent classic metal which is cool. DJ Rockin Ron recently passed which was a travesty for the long time listeners here. He had an amazing show on every Saturday night that was all things metal. The first time I heard it, I was blown away! So, being a successfully independently owned radio station this is what the people want right? Not so fast. Now here comes Clear-Channel again with another copycat rock station Rock 94.5. Pure garbage! CC has moved in and destroyed practically every rock station in every major city in the US. I can name at least 10 of them. Another review for another time. They are one of the greedy corporations you love to hate. They basically move in on every market and buy out or take over the local rock stations and destroy them. It's been going on for years. Then they play repetitive trash on similar to a shuffle mode across all of their rock stations across most major cities. KNAC in Los Angeles is a prime example, and that was years ago. That's how long it's been going on. 97X is pro military and community. I will continue to do anything I can to support this station.

So, for Christmas I wanted to buy Dolce101 Restaurant gift certificates for my kids for Christmas…read moreand they were advertising them on their station for $100 for $50 so I bought two plus a $10 handling fee. When the kids went to use them the restaurant was out of business and when they called this radio station to just ask if they knew what to to they HUNG UP ON THEM! That is so rude. I can appreciate the fact that maybe they had no recourse but seriously? Shame on them especially at Christmas time. To make matters worse Dolce 101 also owns the Salty Goat restaurant which WILL NOT honor them because they said they were from a third party which happens to be Kicking 103.5. Never listening again.
