On a vacation trip the week of September 29th, we were just south of Lyons, Kansas .......a-n-d…read moreBAM!!!!..... the transmission in our Tahoe went out! We were stranded in a pretty remote rural area of Kansas, hours from home and with no idea who to contact for help. We ended up being towed to Midway Motors Chevrolet of Hutchinson, KS. While waiting to get picked up, I called ahead to let them know our Tahoe was going to be towed in and spoke to Jim Turner, one of the service advisors. Jim was understanding of our travel situation and assured me they would do what they could to check things out and see what options could be. When we arrived and the tow truck pulled in Jim came right out to meet us and worked with the driver from Lucas Towing of Kansas, LLC, on the best place to offload the Tahoe. Jim then told me he had made arrangements for a loaner vehicle from the dealership that my wife and I could use to make it on to our planned hotel that night and could still make it to our scheduled visits to vacation attractions the next two days. Kelsie was the young lady in the office who then got us in a loaner vehicle that my wife would be most comfortable in. She was so helpful and friendly. After we transferred all our stuff from the Tahoe to the loaner car and finished some paperwork with Kelsie, I went back out to speak with Jim and he already had the Tahoe pulled in and Dillin, the service technician, was already starting to diagnose things. Over the next days, I received frequent updates from Jim on what needed to be done, the status on getting parts, and making the repairs. We were towed in Monday afternoon and thanks to Jim and Dillon, we were able to drive away Thursday morning. ....only having to stay one extra night in Hutchison than originally planned and we didn't miss any reservations or vacation activities that were prepaid and could not have been rescheduled. Jim, Dillin, and Kelsie, we will always be grateful for all you did for us. The Tahoe is running great now and we arrived safely home. Good Job! You all made a stressful situation much easier to get through than it could have been without each of you. Thank you.

In turn this left me feeling misled. As a female customer, it can be daunting to approach major automotive undertakings and when I expressed my concern about the experience, Mike demonstrated the highest level of integrity and expressed his regret for the miscommunication. In many other service experiences, I've come across businesses and employees that will deny and gaslight customers to defend their errors. went in to get oil changed and tires Rotated signed their iPad with the cost of $70 and some odd…read morecents. They also were going to do a software update which was covered under a recall and also by my warranty. Went back to get my car. The bill was $138 double what they told me. Said that the $70 was just an estimate. But they did say they saved me $100 by doing the software update. I told him it was under warranty. They didn't save me anything. I then went and looked at my previous oil changes that I've had done there and never paid more than $52. Add in the $27 for the rotation of the tires and we're around $70 Mark. Looking at the other paperwork from the previous oil changes there was nothing else done that wasn't done on the other ones except for the tire rotation. The service person told me it was just the $70 was just an estimate. How do you go from $70-$138 on an estimate and do no more work than you've done previously. I will never go back to hatchet to get anything done unless it is done under my warranty. Terrible customer service.
