The instructors: Sifu Mosher, Dan Bernardo, Tina Lewis and Ryan Wineland are the most knowledgeable martial arts and self defense teachers in the area. The price is beyond fair and much lower then you would expect for the expert level of instruction. Also, there is no long term contracts, which is great. There are other schools in the area that offer these arts but don't waste your time. Especially if you're interested in Wing Chun. I can say without a doubt this is the only school offering quality Wing Chun instruction in the Columbia and Lexington area. Sifu Mosher is astounding. Dan Bernardo teaching Dangsoodo and Japanese Sword is a true old school martial artist who is beyond knowledgeable on the history and application of his art. Ryan Winleand's Taijutsu is beyond impressive in it's fluidity and effectiveness. I think he may actually be a ninja. Tina Lewis's will have any lady prepared for the fight and ready to go. I did like this place until they all of a sudden kicked my son out. My son went there 2-3 days a…read moreweek and my son liked it and the days he went to sparring the first time he had told me his stomach hurt a 1 kid had been kicking it harder than he should have and mentioned it to the teacher and seemed fine thought it was resolved. The second time he went to sparring he didn't complain about anything but he is new to it and they were doing things with high leg kicks and I know they probably do stretching but my son had said to the new instructor it was hurting but he told me the instructor did not listen so I had emailed the teacher and told her about it saying he is new to this and know it takes time for high kicks and they should work up to that slowly and not try to force it right away because he had mentioned it hurt and I always tell my son to tell teachers when he is having a problem. Next email I got was this would be his last month there and she would not be putting him on next months roster and to have good luck in finding a new class. My son also took classes in Alaska we are military and have never been treated that way for a new student to just get kicked out for just speaking his mind I wanted others to know plus the classes can be costly and people should be able to talk to the teacher if their kid needs help or to talk. So I'd suggest people go to another martial arts class.
