I needed a power door regulator replaced on my driver side. After a few hours, Mike the front desk person drove up and parked my car. I noticed a half inch tear inside my interior door panel, THANKFULLY I checked. It looks like the technician had no idea what he was doing and tore up my door upholstery by trying to get the driver side panel off so he could get to the power window regulator. The technician made a little slit into my door panel. I am not sure if Mike noticed the tear, even bothered to check, or just completely ignored it, and possibly thinking he/they could get away with it. Since the tear, it got me wondering. I decided to check the rest of my door panel just to make sure things were in place. The next thing I found broken was the plastic piece (garnish, left door mirror). I lightly touched it and it fell right off, the plastic piece inside that was holding it together broke off. Mike suggested to bring it back in Saturday at 8:00 AM. I mention that it was quite a drive, but ok I will bring it in as long as it gets fixed. I showed up on Saturday, Mike took my car into the back for about 15 minutes and came out. He asked if I wanted a refund and an extra $20 for the wasted time. He didn't have the part nor was his upholstery technician was working that day, in my mind I'm wondering "well then why didn't you call me?" I took it upon myself for not calling them. It's VERY BAD service when the company doesn't bother to notify you before you show up. I took the refund and did not want anything else to be broken on my car. Coming to this place was a lose/lose situation, I got my regulator replaced for free, but at the cost of 2 things being broken and that is where my refund is going. The verdict is if you want your car fixed for free, find a broken piece on your car, get a refund, then deal with fixing other broken pieces on your car. Then I HIGHLY suggest this place, other than that. Go somewhere else and pay the extra money to get it done right!! Please see pictures of the damage that was done to my interior! read more

This place is actually called Master General. Or from my understanding they have a couple different names for it. . Straight CROOKS! Stay away from these people . Whether your a customer or a service provider don't waste your time. I'm a owner of service company that was called out to make a repair on a vehicle they had there. I noticed right away the shotty work they do. They issued me a bad check and now are ghosting me when I try to collect. Dirty facility, dirty work, dirty business, dirty people. . I went here, once - completely unintentionally about 6 months ago. I needed a new alternator, and I was going to go somewhere else (I dont remember where). We called the towing company because our car was totally dead, and the tow-truck driver said he "knew a guy"; he called them and got the price I had been quoted, matched. I didn't know either of the mechanics, so I said "ok"...*sigh* ..live and learn Well, everything looked good when we got there, nice employees, decent waiting room (except the ants and spiders). Then the owner calls me up and says "well, I can give you the price we quoted, but it won't be a new alternator - or I can charge you $30 more, and give you a brand new one. Strange, I thought - but I got the "upgrade". Then he told me that I needed a new battery, which I "bought" until speaking with my husband via phone who reminded me that the current battery was less than 2 weeks old. So I told the owner, who said "oh, well, we can charge it for you". So anyway, they did the work, charged the battery, took my payment and sent me on my way, pretty happy (for the moment) with a 12 month, 12,000 warranty on the "new" alternator. About a week later, my elecrical system appeared to fail...the power windows, power locks, trunk..anything that required the electrical system wouldn't work. Oh crap..it would cost about $7000 to get this fixed. My husband said he'd look at the fuses, first, and lo-and-behold, you know what he found, under the steering column in a place only the 9th street mechanics could have had access to????...2 LOOSE FUSES! Keep in mind, that after we put them back in, we had to PULL HARD to get them out again. And, everything works fine, again. So I'm figuring that our friends at 9th street auto loosened the fuses - so they'd fall out a couple of weeks later - Just enough for the average dummy to believe that their electrical system had gone out...and back they'd go with $7000 to the guy who fixed their alternator, because after all, now, they "know a guy"! Oh, and recently, my battery/alternator has been sounding strange again, so I checked my reciept about that 12 month, 12,000 warranty...there's no date, and no odometer reading... Oh well, like I'd go back there, for any reason whatsoever. read more

I have had my 2003 BMW fixed here several times. Mo, who I believe is the owner, has always figured the problem out the first time. They are usually cheaper than other shops in the area. And to the contrary of other opinions they did warranty a power steering pump that they put in. read more

I had my car towed to 9th st auto and they helped me right away. Just took a couple of hours to have my car fixed. I appreciated the customer service from everyone that I spoke to. I have absolutely no complaints...well just wish that they could accept credit cards, it's an inconvenience having to pay cash only. Overall, Great job! read more

This place is a joke! They don't give you anything printed in the beginning that will be charged. Then he argues with you. We took our car to other shops first and they gave us a quote in writing. This guy won't give it to us in writing. Plus he won't tell us what will happen if we go with their advice and the problem is not fixed. He's trying to say we have a lot of other problems when we know for a fact we don't. Their diagnostic fee is crazy high too. This is not a place you want to bring your car!!! read more

Kind of a strange place. they take your keys without asking your name or writing something up. They tell you the credit card connection is down so you must pay cash. You sit in a big empty lobby with fancy wheels mounted on the walls and right-wing homophobic magazines on the coffee table as they work on your car--you hope. You hear in the back a squealing door opening and shutting; you hear the owner on his cell phone talking talking; occasionally a chubby greasy mechanic comes out and buys a coke from the machine in the lobby. An hour later your oil has been changed. You feel glad that your car is running and you got out safely. I won't go back. read more

I am in no way conncted to this auto repair shop but I had to tell "April" that the spark plugs have NOTHING to do with you electrical system,such as power windows,trunk,etc. I could pull ALL the spark plugs out of my car and still roll down the windows,turn on the radio,etc, the car simply wont start. I brought my BMW in for new brakes after speaking with Mohammed and getting the best price quote in town. As a fist time customer I was a little apprehensive. However, that would soon change...Speaking with Mohammed in person, he assured me of the work required, the parts he would use, and assured me I would be happy. All things Ive heard before from other BMW Indy shops. The difference this time would be that everything he promised, would be in fact delivered. As I waited for my car, I struck up a conversation with another customer. He had nothing but good things to say about the shop and how they took care of him and his X5. I would soon experience what he was talking about. My rotors and pads where installed and after a quick test drive, my car was ready. I am 100% satisfied with the work. Very friendly and fair. My car was making a funny noise so I went to 2 different mechanics each told me something different both of which were going to charge me not less than $1500. I was recommend by a friend to try 9th st Auto in upland and my friend saved me $1300. Instead of a rebuilt transmission, i just needed to change my catalytic converter which was much cheaper than a rebuilt transmission. The job was done with in a couple hours and they even gave me a ride back to work. I have sense used them for everything from oil changes to new tires. I have always been treated very fair and with respect which his hard to find in a mechanic shop! read more

I took my civic in here to get my air conditioning worked on just a couple days ago. After being in the shop for a few hours, they told me it was a hose that needed replacing. No problem, lets do it. .... Next afternoon: Oh wait, now we replaced it but it broke, we need ANOTHER one from Honda. Fine. Day three now of being in the shop and they JUST NOW FIGURE OUT MY COMPRESSOR IS BROKEN?? Yet another repair, but I told them to forget it and put the car back together. I had to pay what I felt was a very inefficient and ill planned job. If they knew it was an AC job, shouldn't they have checked the compressor early on? I'll never waste my time here again. read more
