High marks for Schmoe's in regards to price, speed of service, and the quality of my car's repair…read more My car was in-and-out in about a half a day for a non-critical minor repair, that was more of an annoyance than anything. Getting my car in to get service was more of a challenge than I would have liked. Schmoe's was recommended to me by another shop. I initially tried to get the repair done in early March and was told to bring my car in for them to take a look. I brought it in and was told that they would have to keep it, possibly for a few days. At the time, this wasn't an option for me, so I deferred and decided to shop around. Other places offered to do my repair more expeditiously, but at a pretty high cost. After a few months, and realizing the prices elsewhere would be higher than I'd like them to be, I came back around to Schmoe's. I finally was able to drop the car off for a few days, so I called to schedule an appointment. I was then told that they would need more information about my vehicle to even get an estimate, and that I would have to bring it in and leave it there for a few days. I relented, and asked what they actually needed to know to get the estimate. With that knowledge, some pictures of my car, and some diagrams I found online, I was able to get an estimate and was happy to find it $100 less than the most affordable one I had received. Happy with the affordability, I asked to bring the car in. I was then informed that they didn't have any appointments available for a few weeks. I confirmed that it was an acceptable time frame for me and scheduled the appointment. When I showed up, they knew nothing about it, but they were familiar with the person who had made my appointment and told me he was on vacation... I informed them as to what needed to be done and they agreed to take a look at it, as long as I could leave it there for a few days, if necessary. I guess that's a reoccurring theme with Schmoe's. They called me back a few hours later and said it was fixed. The final price saved me hundreds of dollars, so I can't complain. I suppose that if you are familiar with their modus operandi you'll probably be a lifelong fan of these guys, but if you're not, I would suggest packing your patience.

I wanted a factory spoiler installed on my 2016 Ford Fusion, after going to ABRA and getting rudely turned away because as the manager said "we dont add parts to vehicles that arent there from the factory", i went to Randy Lanes with my request. Right from the start they did what they could to get me in touch with someone that could get me a quote for the task. They happily discussed the job and made sure that i had the essential materials to do the job (i bought my part elsewhere) right without problems. After providing me with a quote, they immediately scheduled with me a time to drop the car off and get the spoiler installed. On the day of the installation, i was unable to get a ride home from the shop. This meant that i would be stuck sitting there and waiting for the job to be completed. With the vehicle being a drop off they really didnt have a set time to work on it during the day. Luckily they offered to give me a ride home (i live right around the block). They even offered to give me a ride back if i was unable to get back to the shop! Hows that for customer service! Can you say awesome? Lets fast forward to about two hours later. They called me to pick up the car. After looking over the work on my car, i went in to settle the bill. The bill was exactly the amount of the quote. Not a penny more. Also, the quality of work was just amazing. Very great place!

This all started by me thinking I could charge it because it wasn't getting cold enough and probably was a little low. Well it got worse. C&L told me someone over charged it and that they would only change me for an hour of shop time. They could have taken advantage of me but they didn't, that means a lot to me. Lessen learn to me. The fuel ruined my fuel system and these guys put it back together again. They not only fixed the truck, they worked with me to get it towed from 150 miles north of their location and repaired it in record time so that I could keep going with my travel trailer. The operations manager was in constant contact with me and let me know all along the way how things were going. He also provided all necessary documentation for a successful insurance claim. I'm so lucky, due to these guys, I was able to finish our trip and return home on time to meet other obligations. Sure, it costs some, but at least I got something done, unlike some of the dealerships I had taken this to along the trip who kept making up excuses for the issues and charging me for work that did not make a difference. I have had body work done on several cars here over the last few years, and had nothing but great service and fantastic results at a very reasonable price! Most recently, I had a couple spots repaired (a fender scraped against the garage door, and a dented/scratched passenger side door) on my beloved "Blue Magnetism"-colored Prius Prime. I was really worried that the paint could not be matched well, since it is kind of an unusual color. But American Auto Body knocked it out of the park! They even washed and buffed the whole car, so it was super clean and sparkly when I picked it up. It looks absolutely perfect. Couldn't be happier! Thanks again for yet another awesome repair job. :)
