They showed…read moreup 3 hours late (2 hours unaccounted for and 1 hour from failure to plan accordingly for an on-post move/ military). I had everything broken down and pre-packed and consolidated into easy to access rooms. One of the 2 movers quit after the first 3 hrs. which severely slowed the process down. I have 3 school aged children and a dog I needed to tend to and my spouse was deployed. The move took 10 hours to move me 15 minutes away. Myself and my younger two sons had to help the last 5 hours. Due to the late arrival and 1 man working a move that should have started at 10am and been finished NLT 6pm went until midnight. I was unable to pick up my children from school, feed them, or my dog or get anything settled for us to sleep on that night and the temperatures were freezing. Which is why the move was scheduled early; to prevent from moving after sundown. Temperatures were difficult for the movers as well. When it was over though I was offered "half off the last four hours" it did not account for the fact that move should not have taken as long as it did. Two items were broken and neither were paid for and only 1 was acknowledged. The other 1 was discovered in my garage the next morning. I emailed the business and asked to handle this quietly and come to an agreement. I understand it is a small business and likely needed the money. However, not even an apology was extended. I was moved in January of 2026. I have waited 6 months before deciding to post this review. The company should know when not to take a client. This should have been turned away from the beginning as the company could not handle this move professionally and efficiently.

We'd seen this other lady's review all over the place, but heard from others we knew that Bill's was good. We decided we'd hire them just for the big stuff. Our new landlords confirmed we made a good decision because they apparently use them all the time and when something has been broken (ie, a lamppost outside), they replaced it within 48 hours. We're glad we went this route. I think they were surprised that with a two bedroom house we had so little to move. But of course as I mentioned we moved most of it ourselves. We also had the furniture ready to go and clean so it was easy for them to load. We tried to stay out of their way as they were bringing it into the house, but we're right there to let them know where to put it. Making the arrangements with the lady on the phone a month ahead of time was very simple. I did call a couple days in advance to confirm the move since the set up was almost too easy. No troubles. They arrived about 30 minutes later than they said they were going to, which was making us nervous since we knew we were their first move of the day and there was another lady they needed to move later on in the afternoon after us. The guys were friendly. They took good care of our stuff. They charged us on the low side of their estimate because it did go so fast for them and our stuff was clean. All in all, I thought it was a very fair deal. I'd for sure call them again. And encourage others who have used Bill's to write their own positive reviews.

He was extremely arrogant and completely wrong about how his team operated without him present. They went against company protocol and he still doesn't think they are liable. I have to take him to small claims court just to get a chance at any compensation.
