The bar and outdoor lounge was great, with tons of seating for group hangs. The pool table was old, the sticks were worn down, but still much appreciated - something fun to do on a chill night in! The hostel bar was stocked with a full liquor list, and there was even live music one night. The included breakfast was a huge buffet of tasty options, including a variety of hot teas. The inside reception lounge was nice, and hostel staff was friendly. We had a nice big room (quad), though the bathroom was teeny as expected!

The disadvantage of staying here was the locations. It isn't near the city center, but as long as you wake up early enough to start your day, it'll be fine. There was also a pool and sauna that we didn't get the chance to take advantage of. I would suggest exchanging money elsewhere because the rate isn't that great (shop around).

We found Sir Toby's through some online research and were relieved to read such positive reviews. There's WIFI access, the rooms are clean, the hostel itself is cute and the staff is nice, and we loved the "club" below the hostel that operated as the breakfast room in the AM and a bar/hang out spot for guests in the evenings and at night. More affordable than most other hostels, the downside we found with Sir Toby's was just the location. Not too close to the center of the city, you're stuck needing to cab or take the train places to see the center of the city and the many tourist attractions. It wasn't an expensive or long ride, (make sure to get a week-long pass if you want to take the train for more than just a ride or two. It's the best way to get around!) but as young adults, we were really looking for more noise and activity. Because of the distance from downtown you don't get the ins/outs and hustle and bustle of people coming and going. And because of that, the atmosphere was less social and more quiet. Which is certainly good if you are looking for that! If you want to be somewhere that's walkable to more than some small shops, parks and grocery stores, this may not be the right spot for you. But it's cheap, it's clean and sometimes that's all you need!

From the moment my friends and I walked in we were greeted by a warm and cheerful staff member. She promptly helped us and explained how the hostel works. After having arrived at 6am in Prague and spending the afternoon in the city, it was nice to be greeted by someone so lovely. We stayed in a 12-bed dorm. The walls and floor are wood so it gave the room a very cozy feeling. Aside from the difficulty in getting to the top bunk, I had no complaints for the room. Every bed has a curtain, an outlet, a small cubby, and a large cubby. Although the hostel is not centrally located, the tram which takes you to the metro is no more than a 5 minute walk away. We did some exploring in the neighborhood and found some cool restaurants. And the hostel if fairly close to Cross Club, the neighborhood's alternative dance club. Every night the staff has some sort of planned activity. The night we arrived they served us free crepes. They also had a movie night, a game night, and most importantly they had a free BBQ night on Saturday. That was definitely the best night. Everyone came out of their rooms to talk and eat the wonderful, free food. It was honestly the best hostel experience I've ever had!

Found this hostel via Hostelworld.com and it was a great find, the hostel is right by Ladvi station…read more(one of the Metro Stations) and is very easy to find. There is a supermarket nearby where you can find all your essentials and more and there is free Wi-Fi and a computer with free internet access in the hostel itself. There is a lounge area and the rooms are very spacious. You are given a free towel for the duration of your stay and for only 6 Euros you get access to a washing machine. There is also a kitchen which is free to use as long as you wash up after you use it. The Staff are very friendly and will tell you what you need to know about the centre of Prague and the nightlife. All this for only 13 Euros a night we thought they were mad, but honestly it is an incredible Hostel, especially for such a low price

The kind woman who runs the hostel provided our team with everything we needed (including breakfast, use of the common room for team meetings, free Wi-Fi, and even directions for the best way to get somewhere). The hotel is clean, the desk clerks are there 24x7 and are very nice. There are a couple convenience stores nearby as well as crossblub.cz which I highly recommend for you younger folks. You will need transport to old town, but is not far- $10 by Uber and public transit in Prague is wonderful (if you can understand the schedules- which I could not) Rates were approx $35-$65 which is an excellent deal by Prague standards, just be aware you will sacrifice some amenities. It is in Holesovice- an old neighborhood with a lot of young folks, never really sleeps. If you blew your paycheck on the plane ticket, "czech it out". I would likely stay at the Hilton next time, but this place was still a crazy bargain and allowed me to spend my money on a lot of other things.

A list of cons and inconveniences:…read more Staff is young and slow, not trained in great customer service No a/c, at least expecting to open the windows and they open an inch on top. What is the point in having a window if it doesn't open. Left our room hot and awful to be in. Asked for a fan or a move to a lower floor and they refused. Was looking forward to getting laundry done, 2 of the 3 machines were out of order, including the only dryer. Elevators are slow and it took forever to get one up to the 13th floor. We had to take the 26 flights of stairs down several times. In a very secluded area, Strizkov metro station is like a 15 min walk. If I ever come back to Prague, I will not be staying here.
